Beautiful area to hike throughand with a fun 2x4 with ropes bridge to try and cross when you get to the stream/river. Be careful though because you need really good balance and I dont think it was constructed/put up by the forest preserve agency. Also some cool geocaches if you follow that hobby. We went through in October when it was dry and a little chilly so there was no issues with insects.

Excellent trail, especially with the beautiful fall colors. Elements of adventure scattered throughout the memorable forest journey.

Nice area to walk your dog or go for a walk.

Really swell over here, great to walk dogs or to just hike for fun. Really boring on the south side of the river though, it’s better to cross the river over the tracks or somewhere to the north part of the river if you’re looking for good hiking spots.
