This was my second stay and it once again didn’t disappoint. The staff are so friendly and helpful! Check in and out is a breeze. They are COVID complaint. Perfect location. Right on the beach near a lifeguard area in a low key area. Rooms are always extremely clean and cozy. If you are looking for your home away from home you have found it.

Very nice place to stay. Well cared for and parking garage is nice.Our stay was great. Avista Resort should be considered for your familys next stay. Every amenity is perfect shape.I will recommend and plan to return in the future.

Myself and husband had a nice birthday with our friends. The employees were polite and helpful. We had a 3bdrm, 3 bathroom corner oceanfront suite. Which was very clean. Everyone had there masks on. Due to the covid we stayed in our suite. We did get to watch fireworks one night. We also got to see a small beautiful beach wedding from balcony. The only thing I didnt like was the room myself and husband were in. We had the room that was small and in corner. This room had TV mounted on the corner of wall next to closet. We had to be very careful going into closet. We didnt have a luggage rack in room, so we had to put our suitcase on the dresser that was also in way of TV. I think the room should have been designed better. We would come anyway.

Rooms are very clean, and the employees are very friendly and professional! Two things made this place great.1) Meeting Coach when we first arrived! What a great and hard working guy! Made my trip just to meet him.2) The Thanksgiving meal was INCREDIBLE! The Chefs knows what they are doings. The price is to low for the gourmet meal we received! Thank you for making our Thanksgiving a wonderful day!

Friendly staff, clean rooms. Washer and dryer in room. Loved the area, plenty of places to eat and shop in walking distance. Great prices on rooms for location. For this place being as big as it is the cleanliness was on point. Will be back.

Last minute reservation for weekly vacation stay. Previous plans were changer due to hurricane in the gulf. Wonderful idea. Place has it all. Location right on the beach was perfect. Plenty of pool/ swim activity with their layout. 2 pools, lazy river, 2 hot tubs and a splash pool. Parking and arrival is a little strange with rather tight quarters to park your car to check in and unload. Help is provided with all of that. Check in however is not on ground floor and you need to take elevator to desk. They were very helpful and very courteous. Parking then is in a garage across the street. Facility is huge. We had an oceanfront room with wonderful view of beach. There are some restaurants and gift shops half a block up that was convenient. We had a wonderful stay and would return in a minute.

Love this place. We got a bedroom fully stocked condo with an ocean front balcony for less than $100/night. Right on the beach. They have a full dining room for b/l/d and a separate bar . Tammy was our waitress and she was awesome.The dinner was 1st class. The chef seasoned the Mahi and shrimp perfectly. We will stay here every time we come to Myrtle Beach

I was so impressed with the young man who cleaned the gym around 3pm on 9/18/20.There was not one inch on any piece of equipment that he didnt thoroughly clean, top to bottom.Of course, disinfecting wipes were provided for guests to wipe the equipment down before & after using, but when I saw this guy cleaning, I knew Avista was serious about keeping their guests safe.Whoever this guy was, Avista needs to give him a raise and hang on to him as an employee. He took pride in what he was doing and he did an excellent job. ALL the staff did a fine job. I really enjoyed my stay at Avista.

There was no curtain for the shower and the shower head was terrible there was hair in the bath tub. However the lounge is nice and the drinks were good I wouldnt stay here again though

I stayed in one of the three bedroom corner condos. The views were spectacular! A lot of space with a full kitchen (with dishwasher and washer/dryer), dining area, and living room in addition to 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths. It was very clean and smelled nice. The pool area was great! Also clean and well managed. Not overly crowded even though the parking garage seemed packed. Right on the beach but also close to area attractions. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again!

Stop your research and stay here!!! We are currently here for a long weekend, and we are completely blown away by everything about this resort. Aro at check in was super friendly and informative. We had the pleasure of meeting Coach who helped us to our room. The beds are comfy and clean, plenty of room for everyone without being cramped, the view is perfection, the pools are fun, and the poolside bar serves delicious food and drinks. We cant wait to stay again!

Absolutely love this resort! SO much to offer onsite and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Friendly staff and very clean nice rooms. I will definitely be coming back soon!

OH MY GOD!!! The question isnt How was Avista Resort? The question is Why arent you at Avista Resort? This is well worth every penny for the week spent on my vacation. Very clean room, with a really nice living room. Not to mention an actual refrigerator w/ a freezer, stove, oven and sink in a kitchen, bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, and a washer and dryer in the bedroom closet. Basically it looks like an apartment should with all the accommodation needed. They have a pool, hot tub, and a lazy river, both indoor AND.. outdoor, with additional pools outdoor. Highly recommend if you visit myrtle beach. Ill tell you now, most of the resorts around here are trashy like on the outside and inside despite the pictures they post. BUT HERE THOUGH, I GIVE A FULL 5 STAR. And I cant even bare the thought of forgetting to mention that the staff here are very helpful in so many ways.

Beautiful view, decently priced, great sized rooms equipped with everything you will need, amazing staff. I cannot say enough good things about Avista. We loved everything. We will definitely stay here again!

During our stay we were not satisfied, we had a 3 bedroom condo, which was suitable for up to 10 people and we kept receiving noise complaints, usually with a higher occupancy you should expect it to be a little noisier. Additionally, our unit had FLEAS. We complained about the conditions of the room and we were not accommodated, please be mindful when booking at this establishment there is a NO smoking policy, they do not allow smoking on the balconies, which truthfully I don’t understand being that the balcony is outside in open air, there were security guards patrolling the grounds of the properties watching over the units which in my opinion was a bit weird and seems like a violation of privacy. My family and I didn’t enjoy our stay because we didn’t spend much time in the unit and we spent over $400 for 2 nights. But due to the conditions of our unit mentioned above and all the rules we were not very comfortable there so we spent majority of our weekend away from the hotel !

Been going there for years. Always a nice stay. This time I was especially impressed with the steps taken to safety since we are technically still in pandemic times. The staff wears mask, they have a shield up at the front desk, the ask people to wear mask and respect distance especially on elevators. Most people are willing to participate for the safety of all. Avista Resort went above and beyond during these times to protect people. Grateful!

This is where my family and I stayed in June for our family vacation this year. the balcony overlooked the ocean and it was so beautiful at night especially. It was a nice condo but could use a little updating. However that did not mean we did not enjoy the place. This will be a great place to take kids because there is a pool right on the ocean.

Pool area was great indoor and outdoor. Set up and everything in room was great aside from the rushing you check out issues. But would absolutely stay there again.

Avista was great! My lady picked a room with a great view and we saw the sunrise proper! The service was exceptional!

This was not a good experience. I spent the first hour trying to clean the hotel room because it was extremely dirty. Greasy fingerprints on the walls, table, and lamps. Ants. No toilet paper. No remote for the TV in the bedroom. My husband hurt his back because the top of the TV stand was not attached and almost came completely off to our shock. Chewed gum on the toilet. Dried candle wax all down and on the bathroom cabinet. Room had a smell. Mold on the bathroom vent. Be careful. The reviews are deceiving.

Nice room. Clean. Huge bathroom and bedroom. A little narrow to bring luggage cart in. But overall, very pleased. Would stay again. Photos from 1 bedroom unit.

Excellent customer service with the parking attendants and front desk staff on Saturday, July 11th. The resort has posted mask signs and hand sanitizer stations everywhere. You can tell that Avista cares about the customer. The room was clean and everything flowed nicely. Id stay here again.

I’ve stayed many places along North and South Ocean Blvd and this is the most beautiful! It’s very clean and well maintained, the staff is wonderful and I especially like having a restaurant, lounge/bar, and gym on site. The hot tubs, lazy river and pools inside and outside are awesome. You need never leave this resort:-)

Definitely love this place. Been going here about 6-7 years now. Rooms are always clean. Good hotel for single people, couples & families. Great customer service from staff & there are free tickets to certain places when you book. There is an onsite restaurant that has really good food & breakfast. Views are great. Prices are very very reasonable compared to other hotels that offer less.

It was well worth the money. The people there were very nice and very helpful with any questions we had about stores in the area. And the view over the beach was beautiful.

Right on the beach in North Myrtle. Indoor and outdoor pool with bar. Every thing from standard hotel rooms to multi-bedroom condos! Ocean view units made for great sunrises. Stay a day, week, or month!

Stayed for 5 days in late September 2020. The staff was friendly and did everything right. Our room was clean and exactly what we reserved with a nice vice view of the pool and ocean. The bar on the 4th floor was excellent for a drink or two in the evenings with two great bartenders. Not much within walking distance so the convenient parking garage across the street was perfect for us to be going in and out a few times a day. Stayed in Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach a few times and this is a place we will stay at again.

1st and last time guest! Resort, room are lovely and well maintained. BUT music is blasted from loudspeakers across the outdoor area. Impossible to hear the waves and have any of the peace and tranquility that one comes to the beach for. Was told when I just called the front desk that it was turned off when the pool bar closed. It’s 7:00 pm with a handful of people out at the pool. Last night it was playing when I went to bed. Consistently running us off the balcony. This is a family resort not party central—let nature provide the vibe!

Had a great stay and when we were packing up to head across the street an employee (Coach) had me bring the car over to the resort and he helped me pack. Very nice

Nothing spectacular about this place. First room they assigned us smelled of cigarettes. The second room was good. Paid the full price for a room but no room service because of COVID. Seems you would want to clean the rooms now more than ever; particularly since the maids could use the income. I definitely will not stay at a village of condos next time. Give me a real hotel like Hyatt

The rooms are clean and orderly. The staff were nice and Angela (the pool bar back) was amazing. She moved to myrtle Beach to live her best life. Be sure to ask her about why she moved because that isnt the while story.The only frustration is due to the rona. Youre required to wear your mask everywhere in the common areas of the hotel. It is what it is and that was the only pain point

Beautiful resort. Full kitchen and other needed items for the kitchen. Beachfront. Excellent hospitality and service. There is inside and outside pools, little lazy river in the pool area, pool from inside and out. Restaurant. Time share available. Security available to watch quest. Spacious rooms. Free WIFI and various movies. Wonderful! Place to enjoy the beach!

My husband and I stayed for 6 nights in early June 2020. The first 5 nights we stayed in a corner king sized 1 bedroom. The room was huge(Could sleep 6 easily), CLEAN, and had a beautiful view! 2 big balconies! The last night we stayed in a normal king sized 1 bedroom. The room was a decent sized (could sleep 4 comfortably), clean, and had a great view. 1 large balcony. The resort overall was very welcoming and easy to navigate. The front desk staff was eager to help, the bartender was very nice and helpful (And that blue hair is a plus! ), and of course Coach the bellhop was ALWAYS happy to help. Now, this is a very child friendly resort. Keep that in mind. The pools, hot tubs, and lazy rivers are always busy with kids. Not a big deal, but don’t expect any adult only areas, kid free zones, or quiet time in those areas. Overall, it’s a great place to stay, we highly recommend, and will definitely be back!!

My niece (Erica)and her husband (Mikey) invited me and my daughter to come along with her mother and their 2 little boys. It was also was my daughters first time to the beach. We checked into the resort and it was spectacular. The view was amazing up on the 16th floor. The room we got had a kitchenette in it. We bought groceries and ate there every morning, lunch and dinner. Saved a ton of money. We went to the little carnival they had. It was close walking distance to all groceries stores and shops. The beach was right in front of us and there pools, lazy river and hot tubs were all very clean and nice. It is a very kid friendly resort. The children had a blast. The grown ups did also. The only thing I wouldve liked was a smoking area.

Still an awesome place to stay after all these years!!! Good time of year to visit...no crowds...great local restaraunts. Rates are reasonable.

With the Corona Virus going on and with all the attention and hype Myrtle Beach has been recieving I must admit I was hesitant about going for 1 night but I am so Very Happy that I did!! We had a great time in a beautiful, Clean and Sanitized room!! All employees wore masks and were very friendly!! We had a great time!! Signed a return guest!!

Clean rooms, nice pool area, friendly staff and best of all, they allowed us to park our motorcycle in the parking garage.

We checked out early from a hotel in Myrtle Beach and were able to get a room here. Everyone was so nice starting with the check in area of the parking garage. The front desk was quick and answered all of our questions. The room was immaculate and well stocked. Masks weren’t required but suggested and every elevator had a hand sanitizer dispenser in it. Having a restaurant in the hotel was convenient on our first night there. The location is great because it is close to Main Street. We were in room 1523 and had a wonderful view. We will definitely return.

Room is larger than expected with a full kitchen and washer and dryer. We had a Oceanview. Decent pools and too lazy rivers super convenient access to the beach, quiet part of the city. The beach area was really clean, not too crowded in the parking garage is about a 30 second walk from the hotel

Our one bedroom condo was spacious and very clean. The staff was super friendly. The property was well maintained with great ocean views. I wish the pools were a little bigger, but everything else makes up for it. Will definitely be back.

We stayed for 4 days/3 nights in July 2020. Overall, the resort was nice. Our room was on the 9th floor, ocean front. The room was very spacious. The view was amazing and the beach area was extremely clean. Our biggest issue was that the hallways were very loud at night, even after 10-11PM. The first night was the worst, as our next door neighbors apparently had an issue with their room when they arrived. This all took place at 1:30AM and people were loudly talking and doors were slamming until after almost 3AM. We ate at restaurant twice for lunch. The service was great and the food was so good! Do not let the lack of people dining deter you. The pool area stayed busy as did the beach. Only other thing I would like to see change is having an extra bar tender at the pool bar during the day. Both Friday and Saturday waits were about 5-10 minutes. I would highly recommend staying here and we will be back!

The younger guys in the parking area werent as friendly as the two listed above... The night guys seemed to be more interested in flirting with the female guest... We will for sure stay here again and recommend this resort to everyone...

Everything was perfect as soon as we arrived. The staff /the room/ the view/ the pools/bars/ food and drinks at the resort were amazing! I especially had fun at the treetop lounge. First time here and let me tell you it was worth the ride. The hotel is very well kept with a beautiful view of the ocean. M son delivers to the hotels all along North and South Myrtle Beach. He recommended Avistas and we have found our place. It has Wonderful and thoughtful Management (Chase). And very clean rooms. Ocean Views are remarkable! We have found our permanent hotel every time we visit!!!

Enjoyed it very much! They did have problems with their alarm systems. Was irritating hopefully they have it fixed.

At what breaks down to 180.00 a night...the room could have been cleaner(tv remotes,lamps,mirror behind the door all gross) bed was uncomfortable and the pillows also...both felt old and worn out..wifi is nonexistent unless you are in a certain spot in the room. Shower has hardly no pressure and the hot water is just barely warm water no matter the time of day. With air temps of 108* outside dont think you can kick back with a good dvd either, everything they carry is already out on regular tv. Restaurant had a VERY limited and over priced for the choices. 4 alchohol drinks and 2 burgers and fries was $60.00. The parking across the street is a little inconvenient and the entry gate was ALWAYS up which makes the parking deck accessible to just anyone. The staff are super nice though.

I only stayed one night with my family and my experience was awesome. The check in was fast, rooms clean, beach was so close to walk to. My only regret was should of stayed longer.

This is my 3rd time at this resort and im from Ohio so its a 12 hour drive been satisfied every time I cane until this time got bit up every night sleeping told them.onnour second night they had someone come and spray still getting.bit my 6th morning here luckly I leave today everything els is grade A great workers great beach and lots to do in the area

The room is amazing. The beds are very comfortable. To help conserve energy, the rooms are set up to turn off the A/C when the sliding door is opened. Fantastic setup.

The night supervisor, Jasmine, was amazing! She has great customer service that made me feel special. She is the epitome of a staff that was alert and responsive, and possessed the will to add value to guests. The overall resort is second to none on Myrtle Beach!

This was our second trip to Avista and really enjoy this resort. It is clean, there is something for everyone and the staff is friendly, especially Angela (poolside bartender). She goes out of her way to make you feel welcomed and her drinks are amazing!

We had a 3 bedroom condo, nice rooms! The man named coach in the parking area should get a raise, and is a huge part of my 5 star review. We had a few disabled people in our family and anytime we called he had the golf cart ready to take them to the parking garage! He always was fast when we called the front desk and asked for anything, and he always took our trash without even being asked when he saw it!

If your looking for a family oriented resort with clean rooms and pleasant customer service THIS IS THE PLACE.

Do not recommend this place! Parking is horrible! People throwing stuff off balconies! Not just food, someone threw a soda unopened and hit someone with it! Pool chairs broke! To many people, kids running around not being watched! Not making people follow rules! People smoking at pool! Bathroom in king size room to small, couldnt barely shut door if sitting on toilet! Kitchen to small! Horrible place, will never stay again!

The resort was awesome! We had a king ocean view room. We had an actual bedroom, kitchen area and living area that included a Murphy bed. The balcony was pretty big and had 3 plastic chairs and a plastic table. Our view was part ocean and part city. The room included a washer, dryer, mini stove, mini dishwasher, fridge, dishes (including blender) dining area, couch, and jacuzzi tub. The tub was AMAZING!The resort text us a few hours after our arrival to make sure everything was ok which was unexpected but nice. I noticed the dishwasher had some water standing in the bottom so we text them back and informed them. They promptly sent a repair man who fixed it quickly. The only thing I could complain about is the a/c didnt seem to sufficiently cool the bedroom. We were able to get a box fan from the office so it was tolerable. The pool areas were great! Indoor lazy river, indoor pool and large indoor hot tub. Outdoor had 2 pools, 2 hot tubs and a bigger lazy river. The resort also has 2 restaurants on site including a bar with a pool table. We will definitely be back to visit again!

Loved the hotel room and balcony, check in process was a mess but the overall stay more than made up for it! Just needed another cross walk or more safety getting to and from the parking deck to hotel otherwise wouldve been a 5. Saw another family nearly get wiped out crossing.

Great place to be with my Red Hat Sisters. The hotel was very nice. This was my first time visiting this hotel. They offer a Lazy River, pools, whirlpool right in the access area to the beach! How convenient and just beautiful. We had a three bedroom suite with a kitchen suite. We were so comfortable.

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel...somewhat.... The only downside was that house keeping neeevvvverr checked on us to see if anything was needed. We continuously called front desk for sheets, towels etc....

When youre looking for a public parking spot, you want to be near property well maintained and not sore on the eyes. Both the Avista and Maritime are gorgeous. Good food, too

We gave a nice unit with a living room, small dinning area and 1 bed room . side ocean view, which still had a gray view. Very clean.

Loved it so relaxing and are view was spectacular of the ocean. Will be returning very soon.

The people around the area and who work in the company are so nice; the resort has some nice features for both adult and children.

Our family stayed here for three nights this past weekend. When we arrived, we found out we were in room 108, which is really on the second floor. As soon as we walked in, I really loved the spacious room/condo. We had a nice size bedroom, a large bathroom with huge tub, and even a washer and dryer (loved this!). Unfortunately, as soon as I stepped onto the balcony, I was very disappointed. Our room description stated that wed have a private balcony, but they are using that term loosely. Our balcony actually jutted out from the hotel. The balcony is very large for that room, but when we walked out to the front, the people that were in the room to the left of us were just feet away and they were able to see us out there. Its like we were sharing a balcony with them. Also, the balcony to the right is only separated by a cement wall that is about four feet tall. I didnt like that we couldnt leave our balcony door open, because anyone could have jumped over that wall and entered our room.Just a few minutes later, the people to our left had a boom box on their balcony and were blaring country music. I was so disappointed, because all I wanted to do was spend a relaxing weekend at the beach looking at the ocean and hearing the waves. From our room, we were going to hear music blaring and barely could see the ocean through the Palmetto trees on the low floor.I ended up going to the front desk and asked if they had any other rooms on a higher floor. The girl, Rachel, said they didnt for that night, but my husband asked if we could change rooms the next day. Luckily, she was able to accommodate us and were were able to get a room on the sixth floor for the next two nights. Rachel was very friendly and I appreciate her helping us out.Now, just a note- the way this hotel is shaped makes it very hard to see up and down the beach from the ocean front rooms that are located inside the curvature of the hotel. I really like being able to go out and get good views both up and down the beach and you just cant see that here. If youre in the north side tower, you wont be able to see the sunrise either and if youre located right in the center of the hotel you will only be able to view the part of the ocean that is directly in front of the hotel. I dont know what the architects were thinking that built it.I also didnt like how the floors above the fourth floor are not joined. If you park in the registration area on the southside, but have a room on the north side on the fifth floor or higher, it is very inconvenient. You cant take luggage carts through the lobby, so youd have to take the elevator to the fourth floor on the southside, then get off and go to the elevator on the northside, and then proceed to the higher floors. My husband and I became very frustrated at how confusing it all was. Several other people seemed to be that way too.Cons:*The parking garage is a hassle. Its tiny and the parking spaces are difficult to get into if you have a larger vehicle.*There was a good bit of mold on the bottom of the shower curtain in our first room.*The first morning there, there were ants on a closed Mountain Dew bottle that my husband had on the table the night before.*When I went to the desk to pick up our new keys, I had been waiting, but two women cut in line. The employee apparently didnt care and he served them anyway.*The elevators were extremely slow and was made even worse due to them requesting that only one family get on at a time due to a certain virus.Pros:*The majority of the staff was very friendly.*Love the washer and dryer in the room!*The fitness room was nice.*We had breakfast at the onsite restaurant and it was very good. A little pricey for what we got, but wasnt completely overpriced and was worth it for the convenience!*Convenient location- everything is close!If I could, Id probably rate this hotel a 3.5 due to the layout, but if we can get a room on a high floor, we would probably go back.

Went with my sons family. Checkin was good. 2bedroom unit..we wiped down everything...handles, knobs, toilets, tvremote..everything..cautious with Covid, but do it anyway. Beach access was a bit trashed from guests..our stay was quite comfy..staff helpful..plenty of parking...ocean front...well stocked with linens, kitchen stuff, and bathroom toiletries..tks..see u again..

Very good beach resort. Staff is friendly and helpful, there is quite a bit to do even off season. Has very good beach views, indoor/outdoor last rivers, pools, and hot tubs. Rooms are fairly well equipped. Enjoyable to stay off even during the off season. Just make sure to check in to figure out which tower you are in before unloading your luggage.

We loved it, clean, spacious friendly staff. Pools were great, view was great. Would definitely recommend.

Everyone is so nice and helpful. In house restaurant was especially reasonable and staff were wonderful. I was traveling with my mom and sister and I went down by myself and then brought back leftovers.The room is very quaint and more than enough room for us.We woke up to the most gorgeous view for Thanksgiving. I want to enjoy the day GOD has made for all of us.

My first time staying here and I loved it. The rooms are amazing the pools are great and employees were just awesome. Will definitely stay here all the time now.
