Stayed here for a few days waiting for a home renovation to compete. The A/B unit we stayed in was perfect for my family of 4, and we were able to cook and do laundry for the duration. The views and location are outstanding, and the pools are fantastic additions. The amenities are a little dated, but not so much as to take away from the experience. Convenient, functional, very comfortable and very clean.

The best resort to stay in Newport, for couples and families alike! Easy walk to everything along waterfront, but quiet and scenic at night with beautiful views of the harbor and great amenities to enjoy on site and nearby! Especially love the tennis courts and outdoor & indoor pool on site, plus the Clubhouse and ease of going to other parts of Newport without all of the traffic on Thames St. to impede you. Units are nicely furnished and equipped, and spacious for a family or group of friends.

I love coming here every year. It is the perfect location on Thames but yet it is still very private and you can not beat the views. Staff is friendly and very accommodating, and the movie selection is great for families.

The pros and cons during season they charge 400-500 for the room. Pros the suite is large, beautiful view. Love the washer/dryer full size fridge. Excellent cleaning in room and shared areas. Location is end of Thames so decent but a long walk to more of the action. The cons it is very dated which could be easily overlooked if not for the back breaking beds. I called to ask what could be done and I got a defensive nasty manager that attempted to tell me they were good and other guests love them. Than followed up by housekeeping saying they could try to help but nothing was wrong. She was helpful said she had a mattress pad. They needed to put it in. Well she did again lovely housekeeping. We ended up with 7 layers on our bed. The pull out additionally got padding.If nothing is wrong how are they so prepared with mattress pads to “fix it.” Which made it somewhat more tolerable. At the end we peeled back all the layers and looked at the mattress which was yellowed showing its age, and we looked up brand style it’s a 200-300 bottom of the line mattress. My point they know it’s bad, so why get nasty and defensive. Nothing that cheap should be used at a hotel plus it’s age was a disaster. A simple I’m sorry were trying to change things heck laugh about and offer something complimentary. Just bad management. If I’m paying close to 500.00 a night the bed better be like sleeping on a cloud. Honestly a comp night would have been appropriate considering our rate. Also the pool was like a ice bucket not heated and absolutely filthy filled with hair and dead bugs. Zero amenities nothing but your room. Last when I explained that her story was not true that guests love the bed and ask what kind it is, I said oh you have plenty of reviews that talk about outdated furniture and beds. She said she would look, funny many of those disappeared and over night they had tons of 5 star reviews. Honestly, if they get appropriate quality mattress I would have stayed again if not for the nasty bs response. Size of the room is great, clean not worth the price charged.

The condo was clean and had a beautiful view of the pool and harbor. We had a bedroom and a pull out sofa, kitchenette and washer dryer. Was in a great location and could walk to everything on Thames street. The kids loved the pool and the condo, and they loved the free popcorn in the lobby. The beds were not too comfy and the units are older (dated), but again, they were super clean and in a great location. Can’t wait to come back!

Amazing location. Lovely views at sunset. Helpful staff. Can walk to all the major sights. Pool was nice temperature on a cold night. Get directions from staff to go to the pier for live lobster and then come back to the clubhouse to steam them. Rooms were huge and clean. So many good restaurants and pubs nearby. Grocery store also very close.

Positive: We had a wonderful time! The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. The location was great! It was very easy to walk to the shops and restaurants. The staff was courteous.

Spacious, luxurious flat situated just far enough from the shops so you can walk to the stores and restaurants and enjoy the quiet while being here. I definitely recommend Wellington. This has been my third consecutive year staying for a week and Ill be back next year.

Enjoy our week here every year. Beautiful view of the Newport Bay. Great place to see the July 4th fireworks. I would recommend staying here.

I rented a 2 bedroom/2 bath condo for 2 weekend nights for a weekend away with my husband and 2 adult children with their families. In all, there were 6 of us; 5 adults and a child. Our kids only came for 1 night. Check in was friendly & helpful. They gave us parking passes for all three cars and parking was including in the cost of the room. They also gave us a fantastic, spacious condo. Love the layout. Daughter & her family had an attached, separate suite with their own bathroom. Only drawback was that the room had 2 twins. The main part of the condo was larger than expected. Full kitchen with every necessary appliance including ice maker in the full sized fridge, full stove/oven, toaster & toaster oven, coffee maker, microwave & dishwasher. The view was spectacular from the deck off of the dining room (additional deck off the master bedroom with view of the parking lot).

One of the best views and locations in Newport. The resort itself is directly on Thames Street surrounded by restaurants and nightlife yet once on resort grounds, your away from it all. The view is unobstructed and showcases the entire harbor, bridge, neighboring island and the bay. Beautiful outdoor pool and sundeck. Great staff and super secure parking

Nice pools. Good location. Great sunset views if you are on the third floor on the water side. Having my own washer/dryer and kitchen is a must with an infant. A little noisy so we brought a white noise machine.

Our condo was super clean, the staff was attentive, and its close enough to everything, without being IN everything. Super convenient location. There was plenty of space for our group to be comfortable, and make it feel like home for our weekend.

Loved this resort! This was a birthday gift from my husband, and we arrived and were treated very well! We had a townhouse suite with 5 rooms and an ocean view! We had logs for the fireplace (but we didnt use them) we received a map from the front desk person who was extremely nice and informative. He drew out all the best dinner places, shopping and other attractions! It is a bit exclusive, and off the main tourist trap area of Newport, so it was helpful to have the map. Although it snoweed we were able to sit on our deck with our Oceanview and watch the stars and water! The restaurant he told us about was excellent! We will stay here again whenever we have the chance!

Was pleasantly surprised by the size of the apartment. Huge 2-bedroom apartment for the price of a hotel room during off-season stay. Knowledgeable and engaging staff, fantastic location, great restaurants. Couldnt have been happier.

Beautiful location with a great helpful and very friendly staff. The units huge, but in dire need of renovation (still in the 80s). The kitchens are just large areas with a refrigerator, sink, some utensils, hot plate, micro and small toaster oven. If you like to cook this is not the place you will do it. The furniture is not all that comfortable, TVs are old. A really nice place looking to come into the next century.

Dated rooms, even though the resort had the amenities you might want. Rooms lacked comfort and quietness. The additional rooms to the suites were small, no mini fridge, microwave or extra blankets. The suites had all of those things but lacked up dates, the caulking was dirty in the bathrooms. Both rooms had elevator noise that woke us up. At 1am, the sprinkler system repressurized which sounded like a fan with a bearing going out that was over your head. Sauna was sub par but worked alright. Pools were nice, what you would expect. For an event and to be around family it worked. If it wasnt for family time, we would have choosen a different less expensive more comfortable hotel. Word to the wise, descriptions on website are misleading to say the least.Best wishes and safe travels.

Lovely indoor and outdoor pools - sauna was small but heated quickly and comfortable. Suite was spacious and comes with a full kitchen (stove and dishwasher and plates/utensils/pots) dining table great for games. Tv with cable and DVD player. pollout mattress was terrible but to be expected. washer dryer worked very well. Good proximity to main drag without being loud. Convenince store, liquor store and gas station steps away. Would stay again!

Was only there for a few days, everything was perfect aside from a small complaint about the room temperature - always really cold despite the setting on the thermostat. Otherwise the view from the room is the best possible for watching the sunset!

Ive been going here for over 20 years. It is the only place we stay when in New Port. I love it for the memories. The units are large and cozy. Perfect for a family or a party crew. They are slowly stepping it up with modernizing the facility with painting and free Wi-Fi. Im sorry but a time share not to have gas grills is something from the 80s. Town is too expensive to eat out every night. Honestly gas grills/ovens would be a game changer for this place
