Excellent service and attention to social distancing. Due to pandemic we had to call the office to schedule for pool time but no problem since occupancy was down significantly. Daytime security at the pool was very nice. Called the office for extra toilet paper and it was delivered within 15 min. Stopped by the office on our way back from a walk and asked for more coffee filters. They were delivered promptly. Caution: be aware of aggressive seagulls. They will divebomb your deck and fly away with your snacks!!

Gorgeous views from the property. Within walking distance of the piers, downtown, and historic St. Marys church. Has both an indoor and outdoor pool.

Great stay! Super clean and fresh. Really nice size suite with full kitchen. Perfect location, super prompt service when requested. Would def stay there again!

The location was great and had views of the water. The 2 bedroom was big enough for multiple people but the living room furnishings were just not comfy. They were a bit modern and not geared towards comfortable seating. A couple of design issues with the closet door being directly behind the bathroom door and the bedroom door when open jutting into the bathroom opening. Not insurmountable but weird. Construction going on outside so some unwelcome noise. In general though, I would go back again in a heartbeat.

The 2 bedroom suite was newly renovated and offered every amenity you could think of. The view is beautiful, and the private balcony offers shelter from the wind. The pool room had been just painted, and there was no place to actually sit to enjoy the pool. Small fitness area, with a sauna. The staff was very professional and was quick to help in any situation.

Hello....is anyone there? I have a fixed week time share July 4th weekend. Over the last 20 years, I have always enjoyed my vacation there. The resort itself is lovely. I understand COVID 19 has made doing business difficult, but what I don’t understand is why it is so hard to find out if I should show up at the resort next week or not. Over a series of phone calls to Wyndham Customer Service (10 or more and hours on the phone) I have been told the following: we are closed, we are open, come down on July 7, if you have not been officially told the resort is closed assume it’s open and drive down, call the resort directly every day to see if it’s open and on and on. Frankly, the whole thing is a headache. The resort, as I said is lovely, but customer service is very poor. I have tried calling the resort directly, but the phone just rings and rings....I guess no one is there.

One of the nicest hotels we’ve ever stayed in. It had an amazing view of the harbor, a kitchen with everything we needed, and a spacious bathroom. It was within walking distance of everything we enjoyed it so much.

We came from NY to celebrate a special birthday. We traveled with 15 people and rented three units. There is plenty of space for a family of 5-6 to spread out and enjoy the room. i love that there are so many balconies to step outside and enjoy the views.

Great location and the 2 bedroom room was nice and big! Plus, it had 2 balconies and 2 bathrooms. Wonderful! Some of the furniture was a bit too tired and really should be refinished or replaced but the price was so good...

We had a two bedroom suite with one king bedroom and a second queen room. Excellent location in an exception destination! Friday night featured a wine and cheese reception. Very friendly and helpful staff!

Loved the location and was pleasantly surprised at the size of the unit. I would have liked some information about the local shops and eateries perhaps compiled in a desk book. Im old school.

The Wyndham Newport Onshore offered plenty of living space for our family of four. Members of our family enjoyed relaxing in the jetted tub (even though the tub could use some repairing). I liked having an assigned parking spot. The pool worked out well (we had it to ourselves for over an hour). We witnessed some great sunsets from our balcony. We were in walking distance to restaurants. We would definitely return to this property. Our main reason to be in Newport was to tour the Mansions and experience the Cliff Walk. These destination were easy to travel to and from, however, our visit took place in late April (not the busiest time of year).

Great location, spacious condo, but the hot water heater cant adequately fill the bath tub. The elevator groaned trying to get up. The after 5 pm check in was in a completely different resort down the street. The kitchen had good knives but no frying pan

Good points: enough room for a family to stay all together. 2 bathrooms. Mini kitchen, but fully stocked with plates, bowls, cutlery, etc. Has a dishwasher, oven, and micro. Washer and dryer in unit, if it were summer definitely would have needed this feature. Bed very comfortable.The bad and the ugly: Mildew in the bathroom and surrounding the non-functional jacuzzi tub. View was of the parking lot and back of pool room. Despite early booking and vacancies, this was the room they gave us. This makes me think they dont care at all about guests. They do not offer daily housekeeping, Ive never stayed anywhere where they dont offer that, so it seemed strange. It ended up being very inconvenient because we had trash and towels to be removed and that just had to hang out with us til departure. We couldnt access the pool because the key card wasnt working, but theres no staff here after 7pm apparently to help out with any mishaps. Check in time is late, out is early. On booking and payment, I felt like I got a good deal, but on arrival I feel like I overpaid.

Rooms were large. Beds were comfortable. Location was great.

Fabulous Family Get Away, Indoor outdoor Pool, Weight Room, Nice Size Sauna and close to all our Favorite Restaurants & Shops.

While not luxurious, our suite was a true two bed, two bath that was more like an apartment. It would be great for a family of even six people. The place was very clean. Some of the furniture was a big dog-eared or wobbly, but it all worked. Two nice decks as well. The walls are a bit thin, so sharing a floor with partners could be an issue. The front desk staff were so lovely and helpful. They were fab!

Place was great! Time for a refresh but they have already started renovations. Even so, place was clean and the layout was fantastic!

GREAT location, very secure, no annoying noise from above or below, and hit the basics for the Wyndham Resorts ... but the rooms and amenities are on the lower end compared to many other Wyndham resort locations in their portfolio. This whole complex is scheduled for a full refresh so hopefully the small and dated kitchen and poorly laid out space will be addressed soon. But the beds and bedding never disappoint me at a Wyndham!!

Large units. Everything I needed. Great location on Thames St. Walk to shops and restaurants. The building is older but clean. My 2 bedroom had 3 balconies. Also full kitchen.

The location was great and the view from the room was very nice, but I came during an unfortunate time, so the indoor pool was under maintenance. The area is very deserted in the the winter, and there isnt much to do (no resort activities either). I would love to go back in the summer when all the shops and restaurants are open.

I stayed here for 4 days and it was horrible! They did not inform me that the resort was under renovation until I got there. The unit was out of date and very dirty to where we had to wash our towels and linen and also start cleaning the unit until I called and the front desk sent housekeeping to clean it up. It was dusty and I was too upset to take pictures as this was supposed to be a memorable trip. I felt like I was in a motel and further more the place looked so deserted that I’m surprised they even have people still booking there. I don’t really recommend booking here until after the renovation as you will be very disappointed. I spent unnecessary money and time when I should’ve just went to Colorado.

Check in was just awful. Units are in terrible condition. Two buildings shut completely down for renovations. Choose any other place to stay.

We had a two bedroom, two bath unit, and also two balconies, one off the kitchen, and one off the living room. Unfortunately it wa too cold to enjoy the balconies, but had the weather been more clement we surely would have taken advantage of them.But at it was, the interior was very pleasant, We had a full kitchen, wirh complimentary coffee, popcorn, sugar, etc,Our two bedroom unit had three TVs: one in the living room, one in the master bedroom, and one in the second bedroom.The apartment was immaculate, and we love everything about it!

We live in NY. Have been coming to Newport for years mostly in the off season. Never looked at the Wyndham Onshore. No particular reason. This time we booked it. Nothing to loose. It exceeded our expectation in everyway. Staff, communication, room, cleanliness. Two bedroom, two bath, 3 decks and a kitchen. all perfect. Parking right under th unit. Perfectly located on the water with a great view.

Location is next to Multimillion dollar Condos, so it goes without saying the resort is situated as good as it gets, on the waterfront of Newport Harbor. Also, as it is at the beginning of Thames Street, You are all set for being within walking distance or a short drive to any and all things, Newport has to offer! The units are designed with balconies and bedrooms at both ends, with the living room, dining room and full kitchen in the middle, so it is not only super spacious but perfect for early birds and night owls to vacation together. The Staff is so professional and well trained that, you have a sense of a real world class experience. The amenities including an indoor and outdoor pool, BBQ area, Sauna, etc., all within fishing pole distance of the water. Its not brand new, so if you want to find imperfections, you can however, therell be inconsequential to the Fun, Cleanliness & and Affordable Luxury, of the Wyndham Newport Onshore experience!

Been coming for several years. I will say his is he first year we’ve been able to check in on time usually the units aren’t ready to 1 to 2 hours after checking. They don’t monitor the pool . People reserve table and chair and never use them. The one day I came early this obnoxious woman bullied her way into getting the table and. Hairs she wanted. Wyndham should be embarrassed. The let kids cannon ball and have balls although the rules say different. Put in another pool for adults if you want to allow this. Rap. Don’t waste your money.

We were given this vacation as a gift from someone who owns a timeshare with RCI and we chose Newport Onshore. We didnt realize how many wonderful things there are to do in Newport. Ocean Drive is a must, the mansions are superb, so many places to eat (Red Parrot on Thames was our favorite), and just an all-around wonderful place to vacation. The resort was excellent! The people at the front desk COULDNT have been friendlier or more helpful, our room was so comfortable with a wood fireplace that was cozy, the jacuzzi was delightful and the view from our room was exceptional. This was our first experience in a timeshare resort and we are hooked. We are planning (when we can afford it) to purchase one ourselves as this is THE WAY to go with vacationing. We will definitely be back to Newport someday and would be delighted to buy our timeshare at Newport Onshore!

We enjoyed very much our stay at Wyndham Newport. Everything was fine, and we felt at home. The apt was very spacious and confortable.

My family has been coming here for 30 years and over the years weve had great experiences and amazing memories, but this year they wouldnt let us into the room for over an hour after our check time, which we were here a few hours early and expect to wait and walk around but an hour past check in is rediculous for the price of the room, and the concierge was rude and nasty about it with an attitude, terrible tone to set for welcoming guests. Broken doorknobs to the bedrooms, broken jetted tub, broken washing machine. This place has fallen apart over the years. So sad.

Have been coming here every year for the last seven or eight years. Fantastic views from most of the units. Every unit has two decks one on each end.

The employees are friendly and helpful. The location is nice, but facilities are dated and could really use some updating.

The location is ideal, and the room sizes are great, but the maintenance leaves something to be desired. The bathrooms are out-of-date, dingy, and need to be renovated.

Suite arrangement with kitchenette works for our family of 5, but interior suffered from old cheap colonial decor. Maybe they could remodel the rooms with the bright white and blue nautical/Nantucket furnishings of the main office? Prime location on Thames but exterior facility noise and smell from garbage and pool system. Bad weather kept us in the room way more than I liked but we did use coupon provided at check-in for Breakers and Rosecliff tours.

Mostly good, but some changes needed.The location is lovely and the room was clean and in good order. There are only two things that bothered me about this place.One, we were at the end of Northwinds thats right by the little Beach and the Newport marine building. This provided lots of great people watching during the day, however at night they have this horrid security light with a bright orange glow. Since they didnt bother with any blackout treatments for the bedroom windows, the master bedroom glowed orange all night long. I get asthetics... The blinds that they have do look nice, however, if theres a bright light shining through the window all night long, please provide some way to block it out.Two, another guest witnessed an employee dumping all of the trash and recycling bins into one container to cart them away. Upon asking, it was admitted that they do not sort it, but rather it all goes to garbage. So, essentially, they are pretending to be environmentally consious by providing separate recepticals for guests, but nothing is being recycled. Thats not cool, Wyndham.I hear the rooms are being updated this fall. This is a good thing as they are not appointed as well as normal Wyndham rooms... The kitchen was miniscule and very hard to work in. They should also consider some storage or extra hooks in the bathrooms as they were large, but there was no counter space and only one towel bar.Overall, a very nice place and I will most likely return to stay again.

We spent 5 days in Newport doing the mansions, cliffwalk, winery, shopping... The first morning woke up and saw ants crawing around the kitchen, kids bathroom, outside hallway by our door. They gave me a can of ant spray. To keep within our budget, I cooked alot. Wish there were nonstick pans and at least a cookie sheet. No dish detergent/sponges but there were packets of automatic dishwasher pdr. We arrived a little after 7pm and had to go back around the block and check in at another Wyndham hotel to get our keys. Pain in the neck after driving for four hours. Gave us expired coupons to use for $ off Mansion tours. But Mansion wouldnt accept them. Also, the living room furniture was so uncomfortable you didnt even want to sit. The dining room table was on its last leg.

Room large and clean. .. conformable bed. ...the couch is made for the trash...one slides off while sitting on it...the floor is much more comfortable,even though there appears or feels like there is no padding !

The hotel itself was beautiful, and the location was perfect. The elevator was slow and there was an odd smell, but other than it was great

Run down. Small kitchen. Rude front staff. Bld fire at midnight no customer relations to handle problem (like open front lobby to get us out of cold or let us in our room once cleared to do so had to ask fire department myself . TV in spare room from 1990s no TV in 3rd bedroom, no remote for master TV. Half channels didnt have volume. Worst wyndham experience we have had since becoming owners 7 years ago.

So incrediably noisy at night were woken up every night from buidling and elevator noises. heat would only work when left on close to 80. Could not park in assigned spot until the last day due to someone without a pass being in our spot for the first three days.

The room and location are great. The WiFi is terrible.

The hotel didnt let me check in until after 7 pm when check in time is 4. The staff didnt offer compensation or amenities for this lapse in time. This is the second year in a row for this to happen. Also, their pool cover obstructs the view from our room of the water, said view was a selling point.

My wife and I have been coming here for 28 years, it is our memorial day week vacation,all you have to do is park your car and then you can walk to anywhere in New Port harbor, plenty of things to do and see.
