It is a great place to get away and relax for a few days. No rush to be somewhere or some place at a specific time. Read a book by the water or rent a boat. Take the Ferry over to the peninsula for a day. Then return via the Ferry. There are many things to do if you want or do nothing and relax. We will be returning regularly

Balboa Island is suprisingly cool and not that many people as you would expect from a touristy place. I mosty come here for a Balboa bar from Sugarn Spice. Parking might be hard to find on Marine st. But overall you can find parking in the neighborhood just be mindful of residents.

Too busy many other great places to go but a good experience if youre not driving

A wonderful little area tucked away in Orange County. It really feels like youre in a different world when walking around the island. Its just got a small town vibe to it.If you plan on driving to the island & parking, just know that parking is at a premium. Give yourself extra time to circle around and find something. Especially during busy season like Christmas (man, the houses have some spectacular lights).
