No matter the day or time of year the fairy is always a great time. It only spans about a hundred and fifty yards, but is always a beautiful scene. I live locally and will often take it just for the three to five minutes of Tranquility.

Its a summer tradition for our family. If the crossing only lasted twice as long, it would be twice as good! The views are amazing. Since it is so short of a ride, when driving I avoid it if the line to get on is longer than a few cars. In that case and if time permits, park nearby and walk on.

Oh my gosh, this was the best excursion! The ferry ride is entertaining and the cost to take the car over is more than fair. The island is gorgeous and we did some shopping, lots of great items to buy, my favorite buys were coin and sunglass cases as the print on both had memorable icons to visit on the island. We bought icecream cones which were average tasting. We also bought an XL slice of pizza on the mainland which was also average tasting.

Its an amazing way to get across the channel. The staff is friendly and polite. My wife and i enjoyed the ride

Had a great day out at Balboa. Had some pizza, hit the water, and than had a burger and fries.

Its a small ferry. 3 cars. Its very inexpensive and the kids loved being in a car and on a boat at the same time. It was my first time and I thought it was equally as exciting. Maybe even a little more.

This was really cool I havent been to Newport Beach before and spotted the ferry when we were just exploring. we decided to take it over to the peninsula and the ride was $1 and it was really quick and we were able to walk on and get down to the peninsula and have some quick dinner it was really beautiful to watch boats and the sea and the cute little area they have set up to enjoy yourself out here.

A very fun, cheap but quick excursion for when you want to do something but youre too poor and have to rush because your baby is with your parents.

Bradley welcomed us a board as we drove our car onto the auto fairy.It was so fun and entertaining. The view was absolutely amazing with all the boats and yachts were incredible.I WOULD go back and take this Ferry.

I remember when I was younger and took my very first ferry rides, enchanting, the ferris wheel, the scenic panoramic view of boats, beautiful homes and the channel of ocean you see, I loved it then just as much as I love it now, it always fills the space for great memories whether riding alone or with company...the guys that steer and collect are always super pleasant, a big shout-out for this great crew and excellent work they do!!️

A great white shark tried to jump on the ferry and devour the patrons aboard but the captain steered clear, positioned the ferry over the shark and used the props to cut this creature into mini steaks so we all had shark sashimi as an appetizer!Just kiddingActually just went across to the fun zone and had a corndog.Safe travels yall

Easy as can be, cheap and quite cute. Ferry takes 3 cars and pedestrians and bicycles. There was a ferry every 5 mins or so. Romantic little element to our walk around the island.

Super fun shortcut! Quick voyage (about 2 min), super affordable and able to accommodate cars! Ferry is first come, first served so there can be a line-up.

I love this little ferry ride. I only wish it was longer! $2 per car and there are additional nominal fees for passengers, bicyclists and pedestrians. Only 3 cars fit per ferry so during holidays be prepared for LONG lines. It runs until about midnight but check for times.

There’s really not a good reason to take this ferry, other than because you want to. But it’s definitely something worth doing. Your kids will think it is amazing!So do this: go to Balboa Island and enjoy yourself. Like around the shops and grab a chocolate covered ice cream or banana.Then, take the ferry across to the peninsula. There’s an arcade and small fair over there. $40 will allow you to look like a hero of a parent as your kids goof off. You get plenty of pictures that will last a lifetime.Next, take a very short 3 minute drive over to public access and enjoy Newport Beach on the peninsula. It’s a full-day affair, but you’ll have the night to yourself and your spouse, because your kids will be sleeping with drool on their pillows.Your welcome.

So nice! The wait for cars might be a little long since they can only take 3 at a time, but they have more ferries at peak hours. Each person is $1, and driving a car is $1 extra. The view is nice and the ride is only around 5 minutes!

A harbor cruise for $1.00? Not quite, but darn close. Hands down, my favorite attraction since I was old enough to walk.Great views, especially when the sun is setting.Regardless of the weather, the Balboa Island Ferry is always a good time. Ive never met anyone who didnt enjoy the trip to Balboa Island and back.
