Such an excellent experience with Captain Newport! We rented a boat for my birthday with some close family and friends. The service was fantastic and the boat was spotless which made us feel super comfortable and at ease. We were able to bring our own food and drinks but they also offer catering! I got one of the yachts for my sisters bday and it was soo gorgeous and clean upon arrival.. we wanted to take my grandpa out to sea since he wanted to join for my sisters bday and we were a little worried about the process since he is handicap. Ruben was soo sweet about it and made sure our boat was easily accessible for him for his wheelchair. Our captain was amazing too he helped with even bringing my grandpa on board. It was all Above and beyond! . the whole trip was beautiful! We Went to Emerald Bay..will def use this company again!!

Short story: They canceled on us 13 hours before our trip, and demanded +$1000 to accommodate us on another boat!!Reuben was extremely unprofessional and rude. I could not believe how someone can ruin a weekend of 8 people and care less. We had guests coming from out of sates just for Catalina trip and he called 6pm the day before our trip and claimed the boat has issues and we have to reschedule. We all know that they manage many boats in OC so We asked to let us go on another boat. First he said no we dont have any boat then they said if you really want to go you should pay $1000 extra since we have a better boat!! Really!! After we declined to pay extra and demanded that he has to accommodate us, he replied: you cannot do anythins... my ... .We did 2 mistakes I write here then you don’t fall in the same trap if you had to rent from this company:1-we found them on boatsetter but he tricked us to not book there and go directly to him. Don’t do this then you have no one to support you in such situation2- he tricked my buddy to pay him on Venmo!!! Don’t do this either for reasons you should know!

Rented a 27ft Sea Ray cabin cruiser for the afternoon with my family of four. Boat was clean and functioned flawlessly. We spent most of our time in Newport Harbor but also did run down the coast to Laguna Beach. Was nice to have the cabin and head at our disposal if needed, but spent most of our time outside - teens on the bow had a blast. Next time well go out to Catalina, was so much fun. Staff was on time and super friendly. Only complaint is we had asked everyone to wear masks as my wife is immunosuppressed and on dialysis, but person who greeted us at the end wasnt wearing a mask. That of course had nothing to do with the boating experience, which was lovely overall.

The Captain was great, the boat was awful and extremely worn. The starter made a horribly annoying ear piercing screaming noice, the seat had a hole that fell in when you sat on it, the bathroom was disgusting and the blue tooth wouldnt work so we could enjoy music.

We had a great experience on the 43 ft Sea Ray Sundancer! Reuben Pasandi and his entire staff were very helpful and professional! The boat was very nice and our captain Captain Juan Valencia was very knowledgable with lots of experience! Grateful for the experience!

Wouldn’t recommend this place for boat rentals. I rented a boat for the 4th of July and wasn’t told that I was renting a boat with half an engine, no working bathroom and wasn’t allowed to leave the pier. A friend of mine had a similar experience and we were both charged a full rate. Captain Newport’s boats seems to be flying under the radar for working boat inspections.

Great employees! They have great service and really took care of us. We couldn’t be happier that we chose there services because they had great customer service and a lot of great boats to choose from. Will definitely be using them many more times.

This is about the fifth time I’ve rented a boat from Captain Newport but the first time I went on their Duffy. It was so much fun. My girlfriends and I packed up a fun meal with some bottles of wine and headed out. We cruised the harbor and even stopped off at Balboa Island for some drinks. We had an amazing two hours and wanted to extend because we were having so much fun. Highly recommend the Duffy. It’s affordable and so much fun. Comfortable and exactly what you need for a couple hours away from the crazy thing we call life!!

We rented this boat for a day out in the water and it was amazing. The boat was spacious beautiful, well taken care of and fast! We went about half way to Catalina in about 2 hours not going fast at all since my wife was 7 months pregnant. And anchored out past Huntington Beach pier just to sit out in the sun for a little bit! Over all we had an amazing experience especially for the price! We had three couples and all fit nicely on the boat with extra room to spare! So between us all the price was very low.

What a night! Our Sunset Cruise was amazing from the moment we left, right up to the end of our 3 hour trip. Our captian, Niko, was so much fun, but was totally professional and knowledgeable. He went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience. Next time we make it to Newport Beach we will have them take us to Catalina. Cant wait!!

We had a great time and I would highly recommend. Reuben was very responsive, unlike others we contacted, and the boat was great and our captain Dennis was very nice, engaging and accommodating. All in all a great day!

My family and I wanted to rent a boat to go out whale watching. We found the nicest boat for the price. It was beyond clean and the owner was super friendly. We rented the Sea Ray 2013 boat and it was in great condition. My husband manned the boat so we didnt need the captain and we went out to sea and luckily got to see whales and seals. It was the most amazing experience. I would definitely recommend Captain Newport for your future boat rental needs. It had all the amenities and I brought food on board for us. It was the perfect amount of time (8 hours) to explore the ocean and even dock and swim to shore. We had so much fun and didnt want the day to end. I highly recommend using Captain Newport for any and all of your boat rental needs. They answered my email so quickly and were there to greet my family and I when we boarded. It was a smooth process and I cant wait for our next boating adventure. FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY! They have three boats so Im excited to try the newest one 2015 in the weeks to come.

This is our second time renting from Captain Newport to celebrate my birthday. Excellent service provided by Ruben and Captain Bill. We rented the Formula 33 ss and it was in excellent condition and highly maintained and cleaned. It was easy to operate and we had an amazing time.

He had a lot of interesting information to share, was great with the three young children we brought along (they took turns driving - highlight of our vacation!), and gave us an exciting ride while keeping us all safe, as well. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting or living in Orange County. The weather here is beautiful and a day on the water does take all the stress away. Reuben and his team are great! I have had the pleasure of using many of his boats for different occasions from bay cruises in the harbor, day trips down to emerald bay, to long weekend Catalina trips. The boats are always very clean, in great working order, and they are always on time for your departure and arrival back. Whether you want to hang out and relax with a captain handling everything or take joy in being the captain these guys are the best.

We rented this boat for my wifes birthday and had a blast. We comfortably fit 6 people all day . The boat is very clean and everything worked perfectly. The cabin is comfortable and spacious. My wife and I stayed on the boat overnight. Reuben was very friendly and promptly answered questions (via text) while we were out on the water. Cant say enough nice things about Reuben or this boat. Stop thinking about it and just book it. You wont regret it.

I had such an awesome experience renting a boat from Rueben and his guys. My buddy Ross knew these guys and I didnt know what to expect, but it was such a blast and honestly I cant wait to do it again. We had a group of 6 and we rented a 2012 27ft. Sea Ray Sundancer. The boat was clean and in great working order. We were on the boat for about 7 hours or so, which sounds like a long time but it went by really quick. Make sure to bring plenty of water, food, towels, sunscreen, and of course music. I was able to practice steering the boat which was a lot of fun. Great for group adventures, dates, or any excuse possible. Youll feel like you went on vacation. Great staff and very accommodating. Looking forward to the next adventure with Captain Newport!
