A very nice off Broadway theater that can hold easily 200 - 300 people. The seats were a little tight but the theater is in great condition. Upon entering, you need to walk up to the second or third floor to get to your seats. A good view from any seat. Theres no aerial obstruction either. My friend got tickets to see Daniels Husband and it was an excellent show. The set was simple and easy on the eyes. As were the actors. Really enjoyed coming here.

Nice small theatre - very intimate - a great place for theatre. Of course, the show normally determines what theatre you attend, but if theres a show you want to see here, I definitely recommend it.

Intimate theater - perfect for LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS!!

Little Shop was great and the theatre was small and intimate. However, the two box office employees were rather rude on the two occasions I bought tickets. They acted like talking to me was the last thing they wanted to do. After speaking to a kind employee on the phone who was super helpful, it was disappointing to feel totally unwelcome when I asked questions about the ticket limit, etc. at the box office. They didn’t care to help but rather responded, “I don’t know what to tell you.” I’m not usually a demanding customer, so it felt strange to be treated like I was being difficult. Hopefully others had a better experience.

Small venue, close and intimate. LOVED IT! Recommended from my brother who was in NYC off broadway shows for many years! LOVED Little shop of Horrors......so grateful to see a show in this historic theatre.

Small and cozy theater. The seats are a bit low and have little leg room. The mens room is located in the basement with a rather steep staircase. One feels very immersed in shows due to the proximity to the stage.

Absolutely Incredible Performance Of Little Shop Of Horrors. Incredible space, location and cast. Another plus is that this is one of the last double decker theatres. Loved every second of my stay here.

The show was beautiful. The performance was wonderful snd I would definitely go again top ser this talented cast. However I had to deduct one star for the unwelcoming lady at the enterance. When I arrived she did not greet me, but as soon as the family behind me entered a few moments later, she not only greeted them, but she also offered to take a photo for them. I felt very ostracized in that moment.

Went to the Westside Theatre to see The Stone Witch. It was completely amazing! From the projections to the subtle sound scape the show blew my mind. I adored everything about the production. Congrats to all involved on a beautiful production!

Very classic old theater. Up close seating views wherever you sit.

Cagney was a great play. Actors really knew how to dance and roles fit perfectly.Theatre has lovely feeling. Getting upstairs by the steep stairway might be difficult for someone. Staff was not that friendly.

Cozy, old world feeling. Two theaters...upstairs and downstairs. Intimate setting. I saw Daniels Husband. A perfect setting for this serious drama. Every seat in the house is good due to the size of the theater. You wont be disappointed.

Small theater for off Broadway production-The Other Josh Cohen. Visibility was occasionally blocked by columns and temperature in the theater was cool. Also bathrooms were a flight downstairs. Overall theter and show were good given these shortcomings.

Not too big and if you get there early enough for a night performance you might be able to get parking close by on the street. A small area to get beer and snacks. Stage is not too big but all in all a little place.

Small, off-broadway theatre -- usually with innovative programming. I saw The Other Josh Cohen tonight. It was clever, funny, entertaining with musically versatile and talented actors.

Great show: the other josh cohen. Atmosphear was great. Theater is small and very cozy. We had raw G seats 5 and 7, so its was very nice view. In seat 7 view was a little better because seat 5 had a column ahead which obstructs view of the stage for a few moments.

A wonderfully quaint theater and an off-Broadway production definitely worth seeing, The Other Josh Cohen.

Historic landmark building that used to be a church. Small, cozy theater. It provides an intimate, up close performance. Seats were comfortable, with good leg room. The outer area is plain and unassuming. Walking up to the theater on the 2nd floor was like walking up to your documents office. There is no atmosphere or decor. Outer area from the theater was the same. Inside the theater was nice, nothing dazzling. The seats were comfortable, with a fair amount of leg room.

I had an awesome off-broadway experience in this sweet little theatre. I love the cozy atmosphere and intimacy, the fact that youre close to the stage and the plays have different quality imo.

Saw The Stone Witch there and it was amazing. The use of projections was inspired. The theatre space was intimate with good sight lines. Will definitely be back.

Great theater if you happen to be small and handicapable. The seats are tiny with very little leg room and you have to walk upstairs to get to get to the theater, at least I was told the wasnt an elevator. Thankfully, Vitaly, the magician was great but not great enough to lessen my discomfort. Fortunately, the bar BEA, next door, was offering liquid pain killers and delectable morsels which helped ease me on the way home.

Little shop of horrors is a must see here!!

Cool play cozy theater

Play was very moving. Superb acting. I highly recommend.

Little Shop proved that it belongs in a small theatre. Groff is the man.

Seated at Row G at the side, and there was a post/ pillar which pretty much obstructed the view of anything in the center of the stage for me. No prior notice of obstructed view. Very annoying.

Let me preface this review by stating that James Cagney is flat out my favorite movie star of all time, bar none. That being said, I ordered tickets immediately when I got the email from Theater Mania. I was hoping against hope that this show would do justice to Mr. Cagney. Was I wrong, this show was beyond fantastic. The whole cast was amazing. Ive seen many lavish productions on Broadway but this just blew me away. Not only did Robert Creighton look like Cagney, he sounded like him and best of all danced like him, stiff legs and all.The book had some inside jokes/references that only Cagney fans would recognize. My wife kept asking me what they meant and told Id explain later.I cannot heap enough praise on this production, I can see this on Broadway running for a long time.I would like to thank the entire production company for their hard work in presenting such a wonderful delight.

Small theater in Midtown for off-Broadway and comedy shows. Comfortable chairs with enough of a slope to not end up staring at the back of someones head for the entire show. Small cafe and bar on second floor (near bathrooms) for pre- and mid-show snacks.

Great atmosphere and staff, though when waiting for a show tonopen, it can get a bit crowded sometimes. Well air-conditioned, decently comfortable seats, and good views of the stage. A pleasent experience overall.

Went to the Westside Theatre to see Cagney. The production quality was excellent. The staff was very efficient and friendly. The seats were nothing special and legroom was nonexistent, but for a couple of hours it was fine.

A very nice theatre. Very decent seating, nice stage, the musical I watched was fantastic and I conclude that their choices for what to have on stage are very good.Good bar, very clean restrooms.

A great little theatre with about 250+ seats putting on unique shows. Far enough away from the hustle of Broadway to be comfortable for locals, but close enough to be accessible for tourists.

Good professionally run off- Broadway theater that usually has good plays offered.

The theater was quaint, and nice looking. The service was excellent. I felt like I was transported to a country area in this city. The curtains were lovely and added to the decor of this theater.

On Wednesday July 6th, my husband and I owi attended the matineeshowing of Cagney the Musical at the Westside theater. We loved theplay. The performers were super talented and the story was interesting.The Westside theater is in an old church, not too small and quaint. We had a fun time and would love to see more plays at this theater.

Duplex theatrer building so your show might be on the bottom or the top. Good legroom and soundproofing keeps you from hearing what else if going on.
