The Opera Gallery displays old and new artwork, mostly paintings. Some of the paintings sell for a lot of money. It is multi level with stairs or an elevator. It is a very white space although the space in front of the elevator is dark like a cave. If you ask about a specific artist they have a data base to see what their holdings are world wide. They always have first class works by artists such as Bernard Buffet, Butero, Picasso. Very strong on art from 20th century France. I always stop in on my stroll up Madison Avenue on my way to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

I went in to just browse and was treated to a explanation of every painting in the gallery by a knowledgeable young person that worked there! The visit was lovely!

Best place for sales and exhibition in contemporary art and modern Masters. Tidy area and courteous staff.
