I have to say that I have seen my share of art galleries in the past, in NYC and abroad, and Stone Sparrow is, without any shadow of a doubt, one of the most memorable ones. On top of my list, is Marina’s delicate curating; the artists that she exhibits in her gallery are as varied as they are amazing and masterful in their own special way. That balance is sometimes very hard to obtain, but her openness to what lives deep within the artists souls and most important, within the people that walk into her gallery, is what, in my opinion, sets her apart from the rest. Unfortunately, the current situation has prevented me from stopping by as much as I would like, but I know that as soon as normalcy comes back to our lives, I will be first in line to see what magical world of art awaits me. Ever since the doors to Stone Sparrow NYC first opened to the public I’ve considered this fine art establishment my spiritual home away from home. Tastefully curated, Stone Sparrow is NYC’s premier destination to view artworks from both emerging AND well-established representational artists, often at the same time on the same wall. At the heart of the gallery is it’s owner and curator Marina. Marina’s enduring passion for championing the arts ensures that this gallery has a very long and bright future. As an artist I can happily say that Marina is exceptionally easy to work with. She’s open-minded yet at the same time maintains a very clear vision of how she and its roster would like to be presented to the world. Frankly, it’s rare to see such a young gallery run with such efficiency and resolve. There’s only so much that can be said about Stone Sparrow before words fail to convey the magic of this ground-floor West Village destination. Visit and see for yourself!

Stone Sparrow is a perfect addition to the west village. It is lovely space with always a warm welcome and an excellent artist roster. Every time I have visited Marina and Udi have been generous with their time and I’ve seen the same with every visitor they meet. It’s a rare thing in galleries that one is made to feel welcome and an important part of their business. Stone sparrow always makes me feel like I belong there, and as a small collector of contemporary art, it is exactly the sort of space I love and keep coming back to. Can’t wait for the next time I visit New York, this is always my first stop and it’s surrounded by cool coffee shops too!!

On February 5th of 2020, I received an invitation to an art exhibition at Stone Sparrow NYC. gallery. I ended up getting there early that evening. The nearby stores were closing and I ended up trying to stay warm in the cold. Noticing me a few minutes after, the curator came to the door and invited me in to warm up inside. She introduced herself as Marina and was very pleasant to me and offered me some wine while admiring the various works. We spoke a while before more people started to arrive. Before long it was practically wall to wall with people.I’ve been to many galleries in my life and I’ve rarely had the experience I had with Marina that evening. Her pleasant personality made that evening that much more memorable. I would highly recommend any artist to display their art in her gallery. Thank you so much Marina for a memorable evening!

As an artist thats been showing with Stone Sparrow for over a year now, I can say that they are as reliable and dependable as a gallery can be. Not only have they done a great job promoting my work, they also take time to connect with the artists they work with.
