Went inside with some friends, the shop is spacious and uncluttered.The far left portion is an ice cream parlor. Theres more crafts than the name implies! I showed interest in the Cricut machine for printing on cloth. Kind staff and related co.

We celebrate my daughters birthday here by renting the room for a painting party. Great host and great selections of activity. There is a waiting room for parent to lounge on while waiting for their kids participating at the party.

Extremely reasonably priced and a great variety of activities!I was able to create a nice tea mug and use as much paint and time I need for a small price, when other places charge you your time and how many paints you use.The staff was extremely helpful, and really took time to answer questions, helping with the paint selection and how many coats to get the desired color.They also offer candle making, mosaic glass, actual pottery making, and even pottery wheels (with an appointment).I definitely recommend you try them out!

One of my favorite places to go. Never get bored. Never gets old. Fair pricing. Yummy coffee and crepes. Oh and ice cream. Creativity and mental health time is a must and I get it here. I like 40 minutes away and I still try to get out here at least once a month. I only get 4 days off a month so thats saying plenty.

It was my first time attempting this kind of painting medium. I went with a couple family members, and remarkably, each one of us really took to it. It slowed us all down and really made us mindful of what we were doing. Im not saying it was a Zen experience, but it made me realize how creating art can really change your perspective. As for the place itself, it was really clean, the supplies you need are exactly in one section & perfectly labeled, so you knew exactly where the exact color you needed was. Plus, they provide you with a color wheel/necklace, so this shows you exactly what the color youre using will look like after its been glazed and fired. Its quite amazing that even though I thought my painted figurine would look horrible afterwards. But when I got it back, it was actually quite good for a beginner. So if you go, it is definitely worth it to bring your friends, family, and children too. Itll slow you all down and make you appreciate the little details, and will actually help you bond with them. Also, they have pottery wheels for the more experienced so you can make your own pottery from clay they can provide or you provide. And, they have classes to sign up for as well! I definitely will be returning since, it was an experience that you cant quite describe in words, but you can definitely paint it :-)

Great, budget friendly place to bring kids or for cute little dates. They also have an ice cream shop in there. Staff has always been super kind and helpful. Never super crowded whenever Ive gone. Would highly recommend

I was very skeptical about this place at first .. but when I walked in I was blow away! Had an amazing date night with my girlfriend and definitely will be back in the future to experience more crafts here!

Ive been going to the clay date for years and its always been a great experience. Jess and the staff are super helpful and the store has a very nice energy to it. Would recommend.

I went with Sister 2 Sister and we had fun fellowship night out painting, games and eating. The prices where alittle high, but we had fun. It was relaxing.

The Clay Date is one of the best places for relaxation, creativity and learning. I have been going to the Clay Date for over 6 years, every year it seems to get better. The first time I went it was in a different location, but the vibe never changed. You are able to paint pottery, make candles, and do a lot more. I have also had parties here and the space they give you and attention is really amazing . It is ample space for smaller parties. I myself hosted a friends bridal shower at The Clay Date there were many of us and the staff made sure we were prepared and had what we needed. They also have an awesome little cafe connected with coffee, ice cream, and delicious crepes! If you are looking for Me time, friend time, or date night its a great spot! Great atmosphere, great staff, and great crepes. :)

Love this place! The owner is a beautiful spirit, and for the most part so is all of her staff EXCEPT DANIELLE (heavy set brunette). She was super lazy...when we asked for help or refills of colors, she acted as if we were bothering her. At one point she even ignored my daughter.Ive been here atleast 6 times...and never had an experience like that! Everyone else was amazing...great place for date night, family night, or girls night out!

Love this place. My sister found it and been there twice. Planning on going again. Great family time (and were all over 21, so its not just for kids).

Had a fantastic time with my family. The staff explained the prices clearly. They showed us how to properly use the equipment, and gave us tips on how to work past problems we were having with some of our projects. Highly recommend it.

This is a great little place! We have been coming here for years and absolutely love it! My only complaint is the young blonde employee can have a little bit of a rude attitude but the other employees are exceptional!

Great place for childrens parties

Went there for an hour introduction class to throwing on the wheel. I learned more in the first 30 seconds of class than I did at another place in 2 hours. My wife and I decided to give this a whirl as a nice cheap date kind of thing. We are both anxiously awaiting signing up for their 6 week class as this is a lot of fun.

My wife and I came here as a walk in for out 18th anniversary (18 is the ceramic anniversary). We came in at 8:00 and they closed at nine, but the staff was more then willing to accommodate us. We also brought out 6 year old who loved it. Prices were good, and the staff was great at explaining the process. I cant wait to go back, not as close to closing time, and work on a masterpiece!

We LOVED The Clay Date! A great place to drop down with a child or go with friends for a paint party! Both the pottery and candle making are great! The staff is WONDERFUL and the atmosphere is perfect! I highly recommend!

Such a fun place to go! They have a pretty big selection of ceramics that you can paint yourself. All pieces are at a reasonable price. They also have tons of neat colors! The staff is very nice and helpful.

My mother, sister and I signed up for a 6 week pottery class at the Clay Date and we could not be happier. The class definitely exceeded our expectations. The owners Jess and Dave are the absolute nicest people ever. They were patient and friendly with us throughout our learning experience, we never threw clay before so we had a lot to learn. They really helped us get a good grasp on how to throw clay. The entire place gives off a very family orientated vibe which is warm and welcoming. Every week we counted the days until we got to go again. The experience is something we will never forget. The Clay Date is efficiently run by wonderful people and terrific business owners. I highly recommend the Clay Date for any of the various ceramic activities.

My dear friend purchased a 6 class session for making pottery at The Clay Date for my birthday present. It was a fantastic class and a great experience.All the people who work there are warm and welcoming and the atmosphere is very comfortable. Dave was our instructor and did a great job of teaching without being critical. He was excellent at explaining and showing what to do on the pottery wheel.I also loved meeting a nice group of people in the class.Although I have a long way to go, I feel I learned some basic techniques and look forward to building on the skills. I cant wait to go back!

Beth was an absolutely fantastic teacher, she took her time to teach my girlfriend and I how to throw clay on the pottery wheel. By the end of the session, we had made a few half-way decent looking pots and had a ton of fun. The environment was also fantastic, full of happy customers! I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to learn!

I love going here. I ladies nights out with my friends. We paint ceramics, laugh and just have a great time. They offer painting, candle making, glass fusion projects, ceramic painting, pottery classes and much more. I will be back soon with my friends to try our hand at some glass fusion, I am looking forward to making the glass lamp.

Ive been there twice and both times the service was immaculate. The staff are kind and attentive, they check in on you while you are working to make sure everything is okay.

Awful experience. I went in during a non busy time, only about 3 other people in there. We were not greeted by the worker (Danielle) when I went up to her to explain this was our first time here she quickly said “pick a piece and I’ll come to your table” after getting us our “first” round of paint she never came back over to check if we needed different colors. After 15 minutes I was fed up, paid for my pottery which was only painted in a base coat, and was going to get ice cream in their cafe. After waiting in the cafe for about 5 min with not so much as an “ill be right with you” I decided to leave and not give my money to this establishment. Such a disappointment. I would’ve understood if it was busy but it was not, and Danielle was very unpleasant and did not make me or my guest feel welcome or informed at all. Will not be going here again.

I absolutely love this place. Its family fun as well as date night fun. The customer service is impeccable. The staff is very patient, the environment is clean and the cafe is good as well.

My friend and I just completed the Adult Pottery Wheel Class and this class was truly excellent! But not just the class, the studio itself is wonderful.I am not a real beginner (I took a couple community pottery classes 20 years ago) but that didnt matter. Anybody could start where they are in this class.Dave (with Gabbies help) taught the class with just the right amount of instruction.Additionally, the quality of the studios pre-built work to paint is great (I cant wait to glaze my own Halloween skull and Christmas tree!) and the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. (Ive been to an adult birthday party there that was great!)There are three qualities I really liked about this studio (yes, I have been to others in the area):1. A real sense of comfort and lack of pretension there. This is a family-run business and the people are welcoming and want you to feel at home.2. Organized. There is a LOT to keeping all those clays and glazes and fired pieces organized. Jess and her team really seemed to have it down and know what was where at all time and who was doing what when.3. Experience + Flexibility. I put these two together because once you know your way around a business you realize that different customers have different needs. Jess exuded competence and compassion.Most of all I want to say this: while I was at the studio working with the clay, my mind was completely engrossed with the task. It was a great therapeutic escape from the stresses of daily life.I recommend The Clay Date all the way. Lots of parking, lovely people, next to Starbucks, right off the highway, extremely fair prices, and a great escape from daily life.
