Came here on a Sunday afternoon. The weather was nice and view was great. A perfect place for picnic!

Great park and Rutgers boat house, great for fishing while enjoying a scenic view of high rise buildings and listening to the sounds of birds and river. Beautiful mini theater and great for workouts.

The Grass needed to be treated with Bug Spray other than that I enjoyed the Event

Beautiful, peaceful, place to sit and enjoy a late evening take on the stairs near platform. Great for walking, bike riding. Lots of hills to sit or lay to star gaze or for picnics. Fishing great here I noticed for people. Lots of trees.

This is good place to visit with kids, there are a lot ducks there on riverside

Good place for spending evening with friends or to go for a run. You can go boating or just chill on the grass. This place never disappoints.

I been coming here for Many years did noticed is not as clean as it used to be. Maybe due to the pandemic, needs attention for sure.

This is a very beautiful, quiet park, right off the noisy streets and highways nearby. There is a beautiful path near the Delaware Raritan Canal and an area with steps to go and a nice view from the top.

It was fun, it was clean and scenic. The Caribbean food was Excellent.

Nice spot to smoke a blunt n chill

Kids like this park for the water views, playgrounds and watching boats and jetskis dock. However, often times there is a lot of littering and garbage on the lawn, sometimes loud music, sometimes adults drinking and smoking in the prominent areas which makes it less pleasant to visit with kids.

Pleasant downtown park with expansive views of the Raritan River.

Small place. But really nice to sit, relax and talk. Bathrooms doesnt work.

Scenic park. Adjacent to canal so you can run, walk and fish. Lots of ramps and stairs for skateboarders

Beautiful park and Lake

Solid park for recreation, enjoying the riverfront, playground, watching boats, picnics, and the like. Landscape could benefit from some more intentionality, we do really love the london-plane tree-lined paths. Honeylocusts over the childrens playground provide amazing shade in the summer as well.

Amazing view, pleasant weather and fresh air.Definitely worth going on a date or with family.

Perfect for a picnic, we had so much fun, theres boating opportunities, there is also a stage side of the park where sometimes there are performances and there is a lot of seating, there is also a playground for kids to enjoy, and tables to enjoy your picnic on.

Super peaceful, my wife and I exercise there a couple times a week. And we love it.

Very good and quiet place to visit, for morning/evening walks, to celebrate parties and specially for kids.

Great place to relax. Good place to be if you have kids. Great fishing spot. Good place to walk, run, cycle. But the park doesnt have any courts for games like basketball, football, etc.

Its kept pretty clean

Love the fireworks celebration here on the 4th of July. Its nice thats accessible. And they always have some live music on the stage, some local food trucks, and other things. There are lots of trees that can obstruct your view, though. So best to find a spot in a clearing. We like to bring a picnic and make an evening of it.

Need more focus on cleaning the canal of debris and stop the 3-4 c people who come down to the canal and use cast nets to catch fish. They are to be used for bait fish. Apparently not illegal here. Sad sad sad. Needles and empty bags of heroin. Help those still suffering.

Very nice park, good for dogs.

This park varies upon the day. Go on a day when it is high tide. There are nice foot bridges and off paths along the waters edge, an outdoor amphitheater, winding paths. Great for jogging and photo shoots.

I host a festival (along with a great many other team members) each year at the park. The facilities are clean, the park is well kept and we always have a great time. Definitely a nice place to go for a day out.

This place is more than a park where you can walk, barbeque and do fishing. It is the place of historical landmark, the northern terminus of D&R Canal, which played a crucial role in development of central New Jersey. A small museum is needed in the park to tell the histories associated with this landmark.

Very nice. Just happened to be in the area for a Caribbean Festival.

The events here are great! Throughout the summer on weekends & other holidays like 4th of July & Rutgers events theres something for everyone.The Caribbean Festival was really nice this year with vendors, artixts & live music.Even on non event days theres fishing & boating. Its a really nice place to just stop and enjoy a the view. I bring my morning coffee & watch the geese swim sometimes. Since they completed the redo about 15 years ago this park became a must stop in New Brunswick.

Nice park to sit and relax,okay fishing ( though I never had any luck ) and reading other peoples comments about homeless people shame on you! What are they supposed to do sit under a bridge or at the train station? Isnt it a PUBLIC park? Arent they PUBLIC? Yall people need love and compassion! Yall need Jesus ( everyone ) theyre not there to mug you,or to get you.ive sat in that park late at night by myself on a bicycle feet away from a group of homeless people nothing happened.pray for them,write letters to your local congressmen pushing for more homeless shelters,donate to charities,dont complain about them have mercy! P.S to all the paranoid people worried about the homeless people I have a tip.if you ever feel threatened or in danger dont move,they cant see you if you dont move...

We were here for the fourth of July reenactment, the amphitheater is a great place for outdoor events.The park itself is surprisingly quiet for its proximity to route 18.
