Lots of places to go, good music from everywhere. The bands seem to have a price fixing scheme where they all charge the same tips for requests, and have a member walking around asking for tips. Bars like these usually arent my scene but worth the visit if you are in town for part of the experience. Currently due to COVID and the laws there if you dont order food and drink they will bring you a sample usually 5 tator tots and a friend pretzel type thing for $5 to comply with the law. Most places (most) have decent priced drinks and the upstairs/rooftop bars are a little quitter but can be hard to get into.
Amazing to walk down the street and hear all the music coming from each bar/ restaurant. Amazing local talent. Its a cool atmosphere with the various musicians trying to get noticed and get their big break. Also love the southern charm attitude of the locals and people walking the streets. Nice change of pace from Chicago or new York.
Its just what I expected. Lots of people waiting in lines to listen to bands and drink $6 domestic beers. Popular place for bridal parties. I dont recall how many I saw but it was a LOT. Most the poser girls buy Wal-Mart cowgirl hats and boot barn boots. Lots of pretty people around there. Pay for your parking or its gonna cost you $55 like it did for me. Best to go with a couple / few people.
Fun place. Band almost required 20$ from the crowd before playing next song. Really broke up the flow. While I understand playing for tips, the almost begging became a mood dampner.
Had a blast. Plenty of bars/restaurants. Good atmosphere with lots of pretty girls
Wow! Lots of variety. Cool folks enjoying many of Nashvilles finest bars and Honky Tonks. Slammed on Saturday night and wide open and still kicken on Sunday morning. Great time!
Kids/Bobs bar is the newest place to party and be seen in Nashville. Drink prices are amazingly low and the bar tending staff is top of the line. I would have liked to see more of Bobs music memorabilia on the walls! There wasnt much there. I took these pictures and tricked em out a little with some new software. Maybe these could hang on his walls!
This is the beginning of why Nashville became Music City. It is OK to dress western and visit all the places on the street. You will never be alone and that smile will stay with you all day.
It was so much fun downed on the July 4th. Weve been here before but its gotten so much better. Crowd was 340,000, far surpassing predictions. Music was excellent at every bar and on main stage. Symphony playing during fireworks is always a delight. Strong police, security, EMT presence; security screening to get into street. We parked at arena and that worked well. Fireworks were astounding! 65,000 shells! This could become a family tradition.
Great upstairs patio and a little more laid back in terms of COVID, mask still required but they wont yell at you or kick you out for standing up at your table like other bars did!
If you are a fan of Kid Rock I would recommend this bar! Family friendly! Live music. Great food and drinks. Friendly staff. Definitely planning on visiting again.
Had an amazing first time experience. Would love to come back without the kiddos next time. But they enjoyed it as well. Had some lunch at The Diner which was really good.
Great food and drinks. The drinks are great but a little expensive. Cant be all the choices. No cover charge to walk in and look around. If you like the place stay awhile if not just leave and find another. My family had a great time.
Tons of fun. Great music. People are following rules and wearing masks.
A walk down Nashvilles Broadway Street and you cant help but hear the bands from at least two or three dozen bars playing music. If you want to experience what I call a Honky-Tonk Bake-off then this is the place to do it. Jump from bar to bar, listening to band after band, drinking at each stop ALL DAY.
Back a decade ago it reminded me of a smaller Vegas or new years on times square but smaller. Music city was before this era now. Literally you could find every style of music from novice to excellent and professional and could link up personally with anyone and everyone whether local or not. Its not exactly like that now. More corporate but they have other new like five and retro bar lounge restaurants. If you came after 2013 era you missed it. On second Avenue they would have professional street dancers from music city dancers with Ron d. to the zipline and music note drop on new years with lenny Kravitz.
Known as NashVegas by the locals. Great bar scene, perfect for bar hopping and pub crawls. Dont forget the side streets, there are some great bars there as well.
Always a great time. They seem to get some of the best bands in Nashville! Great service. Havent eaten here yet...
Fun place to visit. Very crowded at night
Food was a bit pricey and just ok but the environment was amazing. Sat in an open window side table and took in the breeze while listening to a very good house band perform live music on request. Thoroughly enjoyed this place.
This place was 4/5 stars. Vibe was good for Nashville for sure. Entertainment was pretty good, too. We ordered some food and and the service was pretty slow considering they weren’t super busy but the staff was nice. Food was just okay. I had a steak salad. It was literally steak and greens with nothing else and the steak was cooked well done when I asked for medium. My only complain is that drinks are all super expensive everywhere on this strip and I would baseline all my reviews at -1 star just based on this alone. You can go right off the strip and find much cheaper prices. I still do not understand why drinks are so expensive here. I can go to Chicago in areas just as or busier and pay far better prices.
Wonderful experience every time! Highly recommend!
Im not a drinker at all, but this place is sure a lot of fun!! The live music scene here is incredible. Be prepared for massively huge throngs of people. This place is crowded! There are lots of that people hanging around and one of our group was almost pick-pocketed, so just keep your eyes open.
Good country music artist giving live performances in bars along the strip. Several areas where past artist could have played and socialized in the past. However, some areas closed and not available to educate and enjoy.
What a fun place! 3 floors of live music!!!
Honky Tonk highway is so much fun! The bars are amazing with ALL live music & fun times! I will say that Friday and Saturday nights gets crazy busy, so if you dont like large crowds - avoid the highway at this time. During the day and week nights are perfect crowd-wise.
One of the best places in nashville, great food, great price I will do it again
This street is lovely. Both sides are packed with all types of gems-- food, bars and pretty solid shopping experiences.HOWEVER, there are a lot of homeless. The Homeless dont typically bother me, but twice, I had to stare down some people to get them away from my family, because they were closer then an arms length. Also, they are significantly unwell, talking to themselves, rocking, filthy, wounded. Its very sad.
Beautiful! Historical and just fun all around.
Wow this is an experience unlike much other. If you like live music, crowds and light beer then this is the spot for you! Youll find local and some famous spots to eat along the way as well. Great people watching and sight seeing.
Beautiful area to walk around for a day!
This strip on Broadway is always a good time! There are many, many establishments, both old and new packed full of non stop live entertainment with music, dining, shopping and of course, partying!Honky Tonk Highway is definitely a great place for tourists to take in the Nashville scene!
I knew it was called the music city but I definitely wasnt expecting to hear live music in every single restaurant, bar and honky tonk in this street. So good!!!
Me and the wife love this lil place great music and people!
If you are into bars, good music, and tasty food......look no more! You have found everything you need!
Wear your walking shoes and check out every level of every bar. There are tons of great musicians here and only 1 or 2 mediocre ones. LOL!
Roomy, huge band stand, and decent food. Staff were efficient and attentive.
We ate up on the patio where one of the garage doors was open, nice fresh air. The food was very good. Home made breads and an eggplant tapenade was fantastic. We had the calamari. Just a touch of red pepper flakes and just the right amount of marinara sauce. The brick oven meatball pizza just melts in your mouth. Definitely a place to check out.
I absolutely love Nashville!! We only had one night here but I got so excited when we stepped out of the Uber. There is an excitement here you can feel. We were in New Orleans a couple days before and although I was excited it just wasnt the same as going to Nashville. Want to go again when I have more time for sure!!!
It is hard to describe how great the bands are. I was blown away. Everything starts early (noon) and there are adults of all age groups. If you love great music, nice people, crappy food, dancing, people watching, drinking... This place is for you. Even if not you cant help but like it. If you are a single guy there are tons of girls in Nashville. Lots of bachelorette parties.
We stopped here on the first night back with music and dine in service. We were very impressed with how their staff handled everything and it was great to see some live music FINALLY. Social distancing was done well.
Loved the atmosphere and the food! The key lime pie drink was Amazing! Great views from their balconies!
If you come to Nashville you have to go here its awesome you will find everything youre looking for and more
Best balconies on Broadway. Great variety in music on all 3 levels. The higher you go, the less crowded
Love this place so much talent Delicious food & lots of interesting places
Still had a good time even with all the new restrictions
Non stop party. Be prepared to see some great musicians at any one of the dozens of bars in this area. Music starts most places before noon and lasts well into the night. I went at lunch time as well as the evening. Evening being more crowded but I was surprised at how crowded it was even in the early afternoon.
You dont go for the food. Great music and drink
Broadway is the place to be in Nashville. We had a great time every place we went. Just go!
I visited here just before the big NFL Draft event when they had stage set up and the media stand ready . The quite before the storm . I liked the way it looked and getting a chance to see what it was going to look like before the crowds got there . I don’t do crowds very well so I knew I would skip the event . But at least I could see the pavement which is more than what the visitors were actually able to see at that event .
I have never experienced anything like Honky Tonk Highway, which is simply the name for lower Broadway. Every bar had live music, most bars had multiple levels with a live band on each level. The best part is that none of these places have a cover charge or drink minimum! Great place to visit!
Lots of bars. Very busy place. So hot during the summer and walking made difficult by being up hill in many places. The tourist spots can be a lot longer walk than you thought and a ride sharing app is very helpful to get around.
There are no words to describe the electricity coming from this place. Your walking down the street then you turn the corner and it hits you. Instant fun and it is like a honky tonk happy place!
What a fun place. Lots of bars, each with a unique live band. Music everywhere.
Was alot of fun minus the rain. Family friendly for a day trip.
It is difficult to adequately discribe the insane number of Honky Tonks on Broadway without seeming like you are speaking in hyperbole. Almost every bar has several floors, all featuring a different band. Regardless whether you visit on a Thursday Afternoon or a Saturday Evening, you will encounter people similar in number and density to that of New York City. Lots of fun to be had, but be prepared to be packed in like a sardine.
Nice little outing that includes walking, shopping, sightseeing, and dining...if you like.
The best part of visiting Nashville. People singing in unison to country music and the musicians enjoying as well. A must visit for anyone visiting Nashville.
Drinks were good, food was ok but the live bands were fantastic
Loved every minute in this fantastic city & Im not even a country music fan. There really is something for everyone!!
Honky tonk paradise. Lots of places to choose from. Music food and booze everywhere you look.
We loved visiting and seeing everything lit up after dark. Lots of business closed due to Covid, but we still found plenty to do. Mask mandatory in public.
Its a Friday afternoon around 3:00 and the place is packed. The bands that we saw were excellent. Ill make a point of coming back here when were in town.
Had a blast! Drinks were awesome! Make sure you try the rodeo roundup, it was my favorite! Definitely recommend going to this place.
Nice place! Cool bars, good music, neat buildings, lots of homeless people though
A ton of fun if youre looking to drink and listen to music. Parking is expensive. I had a few homeless people aggressively trying to work money out of me. Its definitely worth a stop if in town.
Great place to visit. Very busy and noisy but a real party town.
Alan Jacksons Bar on Honky Tonk Highway was phenomenal. First time in Nashville, love Alan music, started out here. Bands were fantstic, people were real friendly, bartenders great. Could not leave for HOURS.
We had an awesome, afternoon listening to Tim Waters band, dancing and drinking.
A really awesome bar where people from all over can connect. Great live music, would come back to Nashville just to go to honkytonk
Every place is BETTER than the last! The music is AMAZING!!! We had a GREAT time!!
Good service great live music.
Awesome music great people safe place!
Despite signs and constant reminders, nobody was social distancing and only about 1/3 of people wore masks.
Live music with a great atmosphere! The night got better and better with people that were as great as the performers. Bar service was top notch and made you feel like you were the only one who needed drinks. This is is the way a bar should be!
Great view from rooftop. Food situation is a little chaotic but pretty cool music stage. Kind of a young crowd
Ok Nashville is an awesome place just make sure you bring your fat wallet cause its not cheap. Compare prices in the area to what you normally think of at beach resorts. Other thing to watch out for are all the idiots on scooters thinking road rules dont apply to them. Plan your trip and you will have a great time.
A fun and lively street!
Lots to see, and do here. Its definitely a party zone. It reminded me of New Orleans, but with much more space and it felt like a safer atmosphere than there. Also if you dont feel like walking you can rent uber scooters to ride around on. If youre looking for a drink, or just a good time this is the place to find it!
Nashville is always a great time to set and listen to great country music and have a few cocktails and if youre so inclined kick your heels up and do a little line dancing
1st time ever in Nashville. what a great city! So many restaurants/bars! Live music cant wiat to go back and experience more!
Great time very active with lots of bars and people having fun.
This street was super fun. High energy! Bar after bar with live music wafting into the street. This place is always full of people day and night. Many places even allow children during the day so you can bring the whole family and enjoy the afternoon.
We had a blast during our visit and had so many things left on our to do list.
Youve taken the right street from the main roads to see the nightlife. Great music at every turn and lots of great options for food if you get a rumble in the tummy.
Super nice staff, and a great space to eat and drink in.They have a good beer list of local brews, and their ribs are worth every penny. This place is a must when you are traveling to Nashville.
This was awesome the atmosphere was very energetic. Definitely going back soon!!
If you love good music and great musicians, this is the place to be! Great fun!
Amazing talent up and down lower Broadway. You never know who you might see out and about! Most bars have 3 levels of entertainment and no cover charges. Yes youll pay a pretty penny for alcohol but where else can you see 20+ bands for free in one night?
A lot of fun for adults! Especially if you drink and want to eat a bunch of good food! Shopping for everyone!
Great places with great bars with live music . And good eatry. Will back in the future to more with you all
Huge variety of different bars, love all the live music!
We were there on a Monday. I feared it wouldnt be so lively but boy was I wrong! Every where we turned there was another band playing or another person singing! It was the coolest thing! The places we walked into didnt even have cover charges! I cant even imagine what it must be like on the weekends because there were plenty of people out on a Monday! Great time had by all! I would definitely love to go again!
Iconic location for country music. Dozens of bar are scattered around. Every bar has live music, some have up to 3 different band, each playing on a different floor. A fee country apparel store and music store can be found here and there. You can also find street performers on every corner or so. The place is buzzing with energy, music, and country spirit. The place has to be on every country music fan bucket list.
It had what we needed too stay for a couple days, not a campground where would spend allot of time there. Perfect for parking and going into Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg.
