This location was absolutely perfect for our little gathering for my granddaughter! The pavilion gave us a place to eat with distance, we used the green space under a big tree to experience some shaded sunlight, and the walking path and lake view were beautiful to the adults and intriguing to the children. We will definitely come again and again!
Beautiful walking path around this lake. Lovely little lakes sprinkled along the path also.
Nice and clean even some tall grass spots for the dogs to play in safely. The benches on the small dog side doesnt have any overhead cover
LOVE THAT THE OTHER DOGS PUR MY PUPPY INTO HER PLACE! SAVES ME SOME MONEY
Its beautiful, there is NO shade at all so bring a hat. You can bike walk or run there.
Entrance is on Royce Rd, it has 3 small parks, one for small and for large dogs. The third is rotated out for grass regrowth. Usually not packed, even before Covid-19, overall its kept clean and maintained. Also walking to Whalon Lake albeit leashed is a nice walk as well.
I liked watching all the dogs playing
Great space for small dogs. Dont have a large dog so i cant taste that. Large area, well maintained. Might want bug spray.
Best outdoor place in the middle of busy suburban landscape. Good for canoeing, paddle boat, skate board or just walk/run.A new bridge has made this place even more scenic.A dog park makes it even more attractive for pet owners.Dont forget to take a picture and post it on social media accounts for the park
I love this place. Great time to spend with the family
Glorious large dog park, well kept facilities ample parking and even a clean bathroom. Separate area for small dogs if you like.Be mindful when you arrive though, of my 4 visits over the holiday, two included off leash pit bull aggression.
Great place to hike and exercise the dog
Nice place. Great views, great location.
Always a great choice. Big enough that it doesnt get too crowded.
Dogs are so kind and meeting other animals
Its so big and lush, and the trail is so exciting to walk! You pass by the lake and then walk by and see the cute dogs!
Very clean open area with a little bit of woods in the back a nice secure entrance I joined Saturday been there every day I might go a second time later today
We visited for the first time last weekend and our dog had a blast! She got to meet tons of other dogs and run as much as she wanted. The park is separated into 3 areas. One was closed off for maintainence but the other two were split by large vs small dogs. Most of the park doesnt have shade but there are a few small areas to sit and cool down under covered areas. Bring your own dog bowl and water! Very nice dog park overall.
The park itself is beautiful but beware if there are larger dogs there watch your dog closely as my poor dog got trampled by a group of larger dogs and the owners didn’t call them off as she was knocked to the ground. She’s just at cutoff for weight between the two entrances at around 35lbs so we took her to the larger dog side. It looks like a group meetup as they seemed to know each other. I would never let my dog behave that way and not apologize to the owner. We went to the smaller dog side that was empty and let her play and luckily she had a nice time to running around. I will take her to the small dog side on until she is bigger. Geez.
Great place to commune with nature. Dog loved it. Hoping to see the Eagles next time.
Love this dog park! My dogs love it. It’s perfect how they have a small dog section because my chihuahua would hate dog parks prior to this place. There’s plenty of running room and a trail that wraps around. Permits are not costly either.
Power lines make a weird uncomfortable noise but its a nice long walk around the pond
Love this park! Beautiful and a great space to enjoy walking with my pup. Sometimes you have issues with mean dogs, which is just so disheartening and scary.... but generally just a lot of fun!
Nice place to go fishing.
We took our dog to enjoy the afternoon here. It is a nice place. We had lots of fun.
Great park for everything
Great place to walk around your dog.
Awesome place. People are friendly and dogs have a great time.
Great place to meet other friendly dogs. Noce walking paths to enjoy too. Near Whalon Lake
You need a paid permit to use a public park. Most ridiculous thing Ive ever heard. In the city of Chicago all the dog parks were free, your dog just has to be up to date on shots. Are property andsl sales taxed not enough? And its not just the cost, but the fact that you have to go through that red tape that makes it more difficult for people to use. I saw this park while riding my bike on the adjacent trail and thought it would be a nice place to bring my dogs. Drive down there with them only to have to leave immediately, had no idea. Jesus Christ.
Very nice, spacious dog park. Friendly officer on duty. Very friendly visitors. Need a pass. Cost $40 for one dog, $20 for each of one or two more.
Beautiful well cap space for dogs to run free
Great dog park. Large areas for both small and large dogs to run and play in. Just remember to bring water!
Great park. Lots of space. Clean
Really pretty park and a great place to walk or ride your bike too!
Ample parking big lake to walk around bike or rollerblade, also it is very very sunny. There are washrooms available. There is a dog place separate from the lake. No cost to get in
Doggie Heaven!!! Dont forget to bring your own H20!
Nice location to relax and fish
She loves it here
Very impressed! Clean and spacious for all the doggos to roam and be happy!
Beautiful park. Seems to be well maintained. It has a nice, shaded walking trail. People and dogs have been very friendly and playful. My dog is having a great time playing, running and exploring freely!
Amazing scenery. Peaceful
The park is good, separate areas for small and large dogs. But the gate to the park opens late more often than not, very frustrating when you have work in a bit and are stuck waiting at the gate for 20-30 minutes. Also tons of wild life within the fence, deer and coyotes.
2 large areas + 1 area for small dogs.Been going for a cple months now and have enjoyed it. No issues with other dogs or their humans. Very friendly place!
My dog’s fave place in the world
Awesome big dog park. Nice field in front and a good size path around it! I wish it had a water fountain of some kind for the pups, but not the end of the world. My dogs love going there!
The people here are so nice and the dogs listen to their owners unlike most dog parks weve been to. Dont have to worry about any doggy issues here and the scenery is great.
Great place for the dogs and people are very friendly. I just wish people would all pick up their dogs poop. Their is a lot today on the grown. But still plenty areas to walk around with your dog and not step on poop
Clean park with lots of room for pups to run.
Love this place
Loved it
I take my dog to this park with no issues! The park is kept up and the grass is green. Getting a permit is easy as well.
Would I ever come back here again?? NO! I will NEVER come back here just for the fact that you need a permit for you to bring your dog here. We came all the way here and we had to leave right away. No thanks!
Best dog park in Chicago. The people and their dogs are top notch and extremely friendly.
Nice days. A lot of dogs
Solomon beautiful, and will county keeps it clean
I was only visiting but it seems like a great dog park with lots of space and different areas for your dog to run
It was cool, I rode by on my bike and a band was playing but I couldnt even hear them because I had headphones on, but then I realized I might not have been going where I thought I was and had to stop to end up turning around and as I was looking at maps I took my headphones off for a sec and heard the band and it was cool
Large dog park for your pups to explore and socialize. Well worth it.
Be careful of violent people who use the park without a permit.
Great dog park, paths through a wooded area with hills and places to run through tall grass. You DO need a permit though through the Will county forest preserve.
Excellent place to see wildlife, Dogs and Herons. I love biking here
Love this place! Hope to go back tomorrow!!!
My Bulldog loves playing here!! Great place to bring your pet, go for a nature walk. Easy parking. Just beautiful!
Wonderful dog park. Two large running areas. Clean, well kept. Cost is reasonable for yearly pass.
One of my favorite places. Tire the dog out and then walk around the lake.
Love this park. Very peaceful and open vista.
Love that its Soo clean and even though its a dog park
This is a very well maintained park with lots of paved foot paths and large dog runs that are well kept.
Great dog park but they need to put wood chips or something in the large dog area because the front part you have to walk through to get to grassy area or trails is a mud pit right now.
Very clean park, always enjoy the walks with my woofer.
Great place to go fishing has big walleye and bass
Great for dogs fishing running walking cycling boating grilling
Love this place. And my husky does too
Uncle Rusty loves it here!
Nice Parke.
Fenced in dog park with small and large do sections. Well maintained all year round
Great better than best buy
Great place to let your dog run energy off
This place is great. Nice and breezy. Great people. Pretty little lake.
Its a good park for the dog.
Good place to go for a wak, bike ride or fishing. It also has a dog park.
Very nice park but not many dogs. Probably due to the special permit required to use the park.
Nice place to enjoy with your family and your dog
Bikes need to slow down for people walking!
This place is my dogs Disneyland!
Great overall experience at this park. Its not the biggest one Ive been to but its definitely a good size for your dog to run around.
Two dogs attacked my dog and the owners did not remove them from the park, they didnt even put them on a leash. My dog was so terrified that we had to leave.
