As a family on vacation many times at Myrtle Beach in the past, we had been on these jet boats when they first opened for business. We had an awesome time in the beginning of this attraction. I would have left 5 stars, if it was still operating the same way, however this time was a shocker! The ride was absolutely shortened on us. What a disappointment with the money that was paid and just a rip-off..., but to top things off, the life jackets were in desperate need of replacing with the rancid body odor all over them. Come on Beach Rider, use the fat money you are making and at least buy some new life jackets!
Do not pay cash for this ride!! We were scammed and gave the cashier 100$ and the guy put in the register that we only gave him 50$ and gave us 4$ change. We called him out and he said he “didn’t notice” and gave us 50$ back. He was trying to distract us in conversation and keep us moving quickly doing the process. Scammers!
This is a must do while at the beach! It’s a must have for my family every year.
Kids convinced me to ride with them. It is a little pricey, but a lot of fun! Jason was our driver. Very friendly and a great driver. Made the ride a ton of fun. We did get a little wet, but not too bad, and honestly to be expected. That did seem to be the number one question everyone had. For all the spinning and sudden stopping, you really don’t get bounced around as much as you would think. I posted a few pics and a video. Sorry for the video quality, the person we had take it...well Lol. It really doesn’t do the ride justice. Lots of smiles. Lots of fun. And a great way to cool off a bit!
It was a little bit expensive to do. Was nice to have the boat to only our family. We laughed and enjoyed the 2 laps around the lake. Was worth it for the looks on my kids faces.
