Excellent part of the White River Ford catch and release fishing of the trout. The boat ramp offers easy access and is not too crowded

The resort itself is pretty nice. I didnt catch any fish though and I ALWAYS catch fish wherever I go. Horribly disappointed. Had a huge headache. White river was too high. Beautiful scenery. Wifi sucked. Rooms are clean and cabin was fully stocked. That was awesome! View is gorgeous.

My boat motor broke down out in the water and Gary came and fixed the boat on the water then took me back to his resort and serviced the motor and replaced the worn part. Showed me a few upkeep areas on motor to keep it running well. I tried to give him some money and he would accept or even let me buy from his store or book a night at his resort. Top notch man and will definitely refer to his resort and stay in the future.Thank you Gary!

Stayed for a couple of nights with my family. Rented a boat for 2 days to fish the catch and release area, and also went about 1 mile upstream from catch/release water. Had 2 epic days of trout fishing despite irregular water flows and rain. This picture is my daughter with a 27 inch Brown. Fish was released after this quick photo. We caught and released about 40 trout per day. Caught 5 nice browns in these 2 days. Released all fish. Great owner of lodge that will bend over backwards to help you enjoy your time there at his resort.

Dam opened and had river flooded entire stay there...stayed 4 days...worst fishing in my life...complete waste of time...owners are secretly nosey... Serenity of the nature was only good thing... My wife made awesome food... I wont return or will i ever recommend

The camper cabins are a perfect treat for anyone looking to fish but not looking to break the bank. You have your own personal view of the river, you’re on catch and release waters, the staff are more than accommodating and they have a shuttle service. What’s really need is that they have a tackle shop right on the premise. There’s no need to drive all the way into town.

Beautiful & peaceful riverfront retreat with quaint cottages that offer all amenities needed for a wonderful stay. Excellent fishing in the area, too.

Amazing place to visit can not wait to come back! Clean, friendly, and the White River access is so phenomenal! I would live at this place if they let me! It is rustic and welcoming in all the best ways!

Ive stayed at Rim Shoals several times. Always enjoy the views. Paula, Gary and Abe are friendly and provide the best service. They also can get you a fishing guide for the White River. A truly top notch place.

This is one of the best fly fishing locations in the state! The cabins here are very nice, clean, have comfortable beds, hot water and all the essentials to stay a week or more.

Our cabin was very clean, the bed and linens were great, the view from the porch was beautiful! We dealt with Abe, his attitude was awesome! Will absolutely go back!

You have to LOVE nature to stay in their rustic but comfortable cabins. It helps if you love fishing in a clear fresh water award winning trout river. Wonderful peace and quiet. We nevet go anywhere else!

Gary, Paula and Abe were absolutely outstanding. My 9 yr old son and I went for a couple days and fishing trip and thoroughly enjoyed it. My son commented several times about how nice everyone was and I agree. Highly recommended.

Rim Shoals Resort has been our go-to for the White for almost 10 years. Not only is it conveniently located near the public access, but it is a quick drive into Cotter for dinner or the Norfolk for new water. Gary & Co. also run the most affordable shuttles around making it a one-stop shop.Each cabin has views of the White, and they are always clean with the conveniences one would need on a weekend, fishing trip (fridge, silverware/plates/cups, coffee-maker, etc.) Not to mention the picnic benches, fire pits, and main lodge, which offers guests the last minute essentials (ice, flies/lures, etc.)We love what Rim Shoals Resort has to offer and will continue to visit for years to come. Enjoy!

Where do I start, maybe at the moment my wife enters into our cottage and cant believe how incredibly nice the cottage is, or how super nice the view is or maybe how close the boat ramp is. Not to mention, Fly fishing upstream or downstream was great. I have a jet boat making it easy to go up or downstream from the resort. Abe could not have been more accommodating and allowing us to check in early and the right on the button fishing report. My wife and I really enjoyed our 1st stay here at Rim Shoals. We will be back to catch more Brownies!!!

I like the area of the river, but the boats were not in great shape. Cabins are nice.

I spent three summers at age10 11 12 with my adopted mom Jenny Smith. My mom and dad vacationed at rim shoals since i was 3yrs old. Jenny smith was the greatest women i ever known.im 54yrs old now. The best yrs of my life. Sicerley Tim Bland.

My fishing buddies and I have made multiple trips to Rim Shoals over the years. Abe, Gary and Paula have made us feel like family every time we visit. It is always a memorable experience with very nice accommodations. Rim Shoals is always on our list of places to go again. I should probably mention the fishing can be incredible at times with one trip to Rim being the best fishing ever, in 2 1/2 days we caught and released over 250 Browns and Bows between two of us. Wow, what a hoot that was, we were laughing all day long, but we have never been let down yet at Rim Shoals. Give Abe a call and book some time, you wont regret it.BTW if you like good barbecue KTs Smoke house is just up the road and is AWSOME!!!
