This was our first time staying at the resort. The staff was above and beyond genuinely concerned with making our stay enjoyable. The cabin was spacious and comfortable and clean. The resorts dock is on a private cove.. we saw bald eagles, deer, and cranes. There is a very clean pool, a hiking path and game room. The town of Mountain Home has many thrift stores and flea markets we enjoyed. This is a place to relax and get away from daily stresses.

Our family has been staying at the Rocking Chair since I was a toddler. So many wonderful memories! Cannot wait to go back next year. Jane and her family always make us feel at home and welcome! Excited to make many more memories at the Rocking Chair.

It was a 2 bedroom cabin we stayed in. It didnt have central heat and air but it did have a window unit in the kitchen like in a hotel. They had a king size bed and rocking chair and dresser in 1 bedroom and 2 queen size beds, a rollaway bed, 2 night tables and chest dresser in the other bedroom, a older recliner, rocking chair and a older pull out sofa, coffee table and a end table and a mounted smart tv in the living room. A older stove, a regular refrigerator and big table and chairs and dishes and your pots and pans in the kitchen. Nice outside deck plus good amenities on site

This place exceeded all of our expectations, the rooms had everything we needed and Jane and the staff were super nice and helpfull. The little convenience store has anything you may forget. We rented a boat for a day, it was great.

First off, this place is perfect! We stayed in condo #16. The backyard was fenced in, perfect for our fur babies. The condo itself felt like a true home away from home. If we’re back in the area, we will definitely be coming back. Jane and her family were very welcoming and super friendly!

We stayed here for a trail race which was great because it was super convenient being right at the start and finish line. The cabin was clean which is a number one priority for me. However they dont have central heat and the little heater that was in there barely kept one room semi-warm. Im thankful we didnt end up bringing our kids because we closed off the rooms we didnt use because it was cold. As well the bath towels, while they were clean, they smelled like cigarette smoke which grossed me out. The people there are super nice and the location was great.

I can’t say enough good things about Rocking Chair Resort! My husband and I just left there from our honeymoon trip, and can’t wait to get back! Jane and her family are the nicest people! The cabin was perfect for us. The dock and lake were amazing. The fishing was awesome! I would stay there over a 5 star hotel anytime!

We just had a family reunion and several of our family stayed here. Great staff, very friendly, rates are great when you think about everything you get... An AC cabin with fridge stove and microwave, nice bath room, TV, Wi-Fi, chosen linen, great pool, rec room, lake access and more. I will recommend staying here and plan on returning for a weekend get away. Some of my family where already talking about doing our next reunion here!

My girl and I wanted to get away for a few days to reconnect and spend some time on the lake. We had an outstanding time! Jane and her family took great care of us. All of their Cabins, condos, and houses come with a firepit for making a cozy campfire. They also have a store on site so you dont have to make multiple trips to town. If you want to escape, without taking a flight, check this place out. We will be back again!

This is the quietest, cutest setup for a getaway in the woods. The owners are so nice and helpful! They have a store, a game room, pool, boat dock, and trail that kept us busy exploring. The condos were super cute and clean! We will definately be back and next time we are bringing more family!

Rocking Chair resort is an awesome place to stay with family and friends. The owners of the resort are very accommodating and are willing to help out as much as possible. The cabins are simple but nice and are perfect for getting away from the busy life. Their are boat rentals available to get out on the lake and restaurants are a ten minute drive away. You will not regret staying here.

Wonderful acomodatons I extremely nice people.

What a fun experience! We came down to participate in the Davids Trail Endurance Run in January 2016. Rocking Chair Resort was the trailhead and base for the race, and all the after race festivities happened around the resort as well. The resort was easy to find and well laid out. We stayed in one of the condo units, #16. The resort is very pet friendly, and my dog was greeted warmly by all the staff. Our condo was great, very large and airy with a lot of natural light. The kitchen was well stocked and had modern appliances and all the items necessary for cooking up a feast. The living room had plenty of comfortable furniture and doors that led out to a nice, wide deck. There are two bedrooms, the master bedroom also has doors leading out to the deck. With central heat and air and lots of hot water in the bathrooms, our stay was very comfortable. We enjoyed ourselves so much, we are going back in just a few weeks! The access to Davids Trail is just a short walk from the resort, its so nice to get in a full day of hiking and exploring and then be able to go back to our room for a hot shower and soft bed! We recommend staying at Rocking Chair Resort!

This is our newest family tradition. We discovered Rocking Chair by accident 3 years ago and had an incredible week there. Last year, we decided to get a cabin on a lake in OK to recreate the experience, but in a different location just to try it. We quickly learned how wrong we were. There is no other place like Rocking Chair. We came back for the summer of 17 and had such an incredible time again. Super reasonable prices, great boats, pool, game area, a store that my kids could visit for their midday ice cream treat, everything you could want or need. We already cant wait to go back!

Located in a seemingly private bay. The friendlys people. You cant ask for a better staff, knowledgeable, hard working and several are family so theyre vested interest showes. On the worst rainy day, just go down to the boat dock for fun fishing. Pool, game room, trails, camp fires or just hanging out with such nice people.

Love the people here, some will treat you like your part of the family! First time going here. Good activity area (pool + game room).

This resort is the best around if anything happens they are there to help. They have many styles of cabins for everyone and boats and tubes for the lake and a great pool that is nice and deep at on end for the taller people and a cute kiddy area too!!! This has been like my home away from home. I have been going here for 11 years and still counting!!! The staff is welcoming to everyone and is like one huge family and they welcome you like your family too!!!!

Beautiful area but the cabins are not worth the money. They were dirty, space heaters for heat and small.
