Great place! Great folks! Edgewater Resort is a great place to bring your family and play on the water or relax in a quaint, clean cottage. Very friendly staff, great location, and right on Bull Shoals Lake. This resort is wonderful!

The male owner of the establishment was a know it all. I had invited only a few of my family for a bbq, because of the covid-19 they stated that due to this pandemic we could not have more than just a few at the establishment. At the time of my stay social distance enforcement was twenty people or less. Also stated that my family had to leave and harassed me and my family. Also everything was out of date they stated we had to ask permission to have someone come over even though we were renting the place for a week. This was the worst establishment I have ever ever stayed at thank you for taking my money and making this the worst experience of my 53 years

Its nice and quiet. They are right on the lake and have a boat ramp and boat docks. You can rent boats from them or the marina. Though if you rent from them they dont allow their boats out after 6 pm. The cabins were a decent size but a little out dated. They only have one air conditioning unit in the main living area though there are ceiling fans in the bedrooms so it was a little warm at night. Other than that its a great place to go. Definitely recommend.

This place is absolutely beautiful. My family really enjoyed our stay here and my kids loved the lake and the pool. Our cabin was really nice and clean and the beds were comfy. The lake here is so amazing and my kids loved seeing all the fish and turtles. Its so nice being out in nature and being able to enjoy the scenery. Sue and Bob are really great people and they make your stay enjoyable. My family will definitely be back for many years to come.

I have been going to Edgewater Resort and Lodge for many years and have had nothing but a wonderful time and experience. Bob and Sue are always accommodating and try to make the vacation the best it can be. The cabins are always spotless and clean and nice bedding. Sue is always coming by asking if anything is needed as well as replacing towels and other items during the week. When you ask Bob about fishing he is always helpful in showing you where to go and making sure you know how to read the map of the lake to see where good spots are. This resort is not far from the lake and offers you the ability to walk to the dock and you can easily walk around the resort and down the road for a nice peaceful walk. This is a nice resort with wonderful owners and you could not ask for better. If you are looking for a nice place to stay Edgewater is the resort to try.

My family and I have stayed at this resort for over 25 years. Owners, Bob and Sue, have always made our stay exceptional. From the built in swimming pool, cozy cabins, and family like service, we wouldn’t stay at any other place when traveling from Chicago. Nothing more reassuring than always having a clean and safe place to stay with a beautiful view.

Beautiful property, one of the closest to shore on the entire lake. Boat slips and grounds were well maintained, and the cabins are clean and cozy. Like everything at this lake, its on a pretty steep hill which can be a bit difficult to navigate at times, but that is to be expected from the terrain. All in all it was a good stay and we would book here again!

Located deep in the woods of seclusion, you arrive to find a lovely property that is well cared for, under the maintenance of people that quickly become like family.Bob and Sue went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant (and Bob even saved our sinking boat). If youre looking for a place that is comfortable, clean, with outstanding service yet is away from all the hustle and bustle of the city, this place is for you.Bull Shoals is one of the most pristine lakes of the Ozark Mountains and this cottage resort is certainly one of the best kept secrets.Edgewater is certainly on the water. The boat docks and slips are nicely maintained. The pool is lovely and pets are welcome, including our parrot. The only tip I would recommend for travelers not familiar with the area is to stop off in the Mountain Home area for your provisions before you arrive. It is a good hours drive to a grocery store in any direction, and if you suffer from motion sickness, you may want to stock up on Dramamine for the rides on the hilly country roads full of twists and turns. It is relatively simple to navigate a trailer with a large boat, however care is needed. We stayed for a full week in the 3 bedroom, 2 bath cottage without a hitch.Lovely place and I would highly recommend.

If you’re looking for a place where you will be cussed at, questioned about the status of your relationship (because you have children), or just enjoy feeling super uncomfortable...look no further. We came down in a group of three couples (6 adults) and a 3 year old child. We stayed in a house with four full beds, so another couple planned to join us later on in the night. By the time they arrived, it was early in the morning around 1 am, so we decided we would call in the morning to update the owners. Instead, the owner came down to greet them at 6 a.m. with questions riddled with the “f word”. We also went to park a vehicle down by the dock, and there was one marked with a handicapped sign, and one that was not. So we parked in the one that wasn’t marked. Instead of just informing us that they would like to keep the spot open for handicapped as well (which we would’ve totally respected), we were literally yelled at from the top of the hill, “ONE OF YOU IN THAT BOAT BETTER BE HANDICAPPED”...it was incredibly unprofessional and furthermore not hospitable in any sense of the word. I have been many places, and never had an experience like I did here. I could deal with the musty smell in the cabin, but I can’t deal with the attitude we faced throughout the weekend.

My wife, kids and I have been going here for years. One of the most beautiful places on earth. The resort is amazing and the family loves every minute of it ! Bob and Sue are so accommodating every time we stay there. When we do leave the kids already are asking when we can go back.

This is the BEST resort on Bull Shoals-the owners are excellent-cabins are great-great family atmosphere. We have been going to the same place for over 10 years and would not even consider going somewhere else. Boat docks are great-I would rate it 10 stars if I could.

Worst boating trip ever. The male owner/manager watched all the females anytime we were outside of the cabin. Not just from a distance but actually pull up a lawn chair and watch like a creeper from the next cabin over. They made my wife and her friends extremely uncomfortable to the point we left 2 days early. We were all mindful and polite adults and still got treated like garbage from the owner the minute we pulled in. Its a shame that he was like this because not only did the owner ruined our groups time but he also ruined another families time that was staying there as well. Making smart remarks, saying bad words around kids, and watch every move you make around the cabins or dock is extremely uncomfortable. If this place was $5 a night we would never stay there. The lake is too beautiful to have to deal with this.

Our family has been vacationing on Bullshoals Lake for 52 yrs and just arrived home from our 19th consecutive year of staying at Edgewater Resort. Every year we reserve from 4 - 5 cabins and have never had anything but a great time during our stay. Bob and Sue have always been very accommodating to all our needs over the years. If I had a complaint it would be that I wish we could stay longer while were there?

Surprisingly abhorrent show of professionalism and hospitality by the owners, Bob and Sue. As soon as our group was being directed to our cabin, they were visibly arguing and yelling at each other. Then, while moving our luggage into the cabin (the first time seeing Bob), I was impudently informed that we were letting flies in as the door was aggressively shut behind me. There was no offer of introduction or greeting from Bob. The rudeness and uncomfortable presence did not stop there. As soon as we got down to the boat docks, we were being intently watched from another dock. This was all just within an hour of getting there. They counted and charged a couples 3-year-old as an extra person and stumbled around their explanations of insurance occupancy requirements; if you go to other resorts in the area, they assume that children under 5 sleep in the same bed with their parents (like reasonable people do). While clarifying this charge, the mother was sarcastically asked if the child was a human being. Afterwards, Sue expressed concern to the father that they were not accounting for their son as a person and how this could have possible ramifications in the child’s life. I am not making this up. A snide remark was also made about the couple having different last names. Please keep in mind we were a group around the age of 30, and entirely respectful. To be quite frank, this experience was surreal in the worst way possible. Edgewater is entirely unwelcoming and out of touch with reality. Staying at Battys resort yielded no issues at all.Side note: the cabin had a pungent smell and good luck catching either of them at the office for assistance.
