This photo is from the postcard I purchased here. It depicts the parlor. This off the beaten path house is a must see for any Revolutionary War or Alexander Hamilton history fan. Its run by the Daughters of the American Revolution I was impressed by how much they are truly committed and passionate to keeping and preserving our national heritage. We were fortunate enough to gave two very knowledgeable women explain the history of the house and how it fit to the Revolutionary War. Mrs. Eliza Hamilton s bonnet, collar and a lock of her hair were on display. Go to Fort Nonsense afterwards...its a short drive from there with views to NYC. Really makes one appreciate our freedom!
Wonderful place for people who are interested in Hamilton, Revolutionary War history, or local history. It is a small house, but the tour guides make it a big experience, making you really feel the connection of this place to the important events unfolding in Morristown and New Jersey.Only $5 for the tour, and the ladies who work here are among the most knowledgable and dedicated Ive encountered. Well worth the visit. Suitable for older children or those who are interested in history.
Pat gave an amazing tour, with lots of fascinating facts. I really enjoyed my visit. She took her time explaining different historic events in Morristown. Highly recommended...takes about an hour for the whole tour.
I love you lin manuel miranda
Its a cool place to visit while Alexander Hamilton is hot. Not sure if that moment has passed yet, feels like its getting close. The ladies who work there are great local history ladies.
Nice little museum
Good history.
