This was my 3rd trip to Montgomery, AL., all were business trip but, this is the first time I brought my family and had time to enjoy this beautiful city. We all had a wonderful time learning about the unique history of Montgomery outside of the Civil Right history. Riverfront Park provided that insight.

I think the are is beautiful you can walk around and just have nice time there, I’m sure in regular times it’s much alive . They have some boat tour on the Alabama River. You can find different thing to do there, the Amphitheater looks cute and unique, the historic Union station train where you can find some restaurants and amenities, for the lithe one an area of splash water.

A nice walk in the park today. It looks like a great facility when there is music or baseball happening.

Walk through the tunnel gate, we reach to the beautiful riverside walkway ! Don’t miss this place when you visit Montgomery

It is a very pretty area and quiet for it to be something around downtown area in Montgomery. Actually its about the only thing to do in downtown Montgomery besides watch the biscuits play and go to the alley.

Great place to have a family reunion or a party with friends and family.

If youre staying close by its worth checking out!

Great way to make history fun. It was beautiful, clean and very easy to navigate thru.

I was very disappointed to realize the location was closed the day that we went. It looks very interesting and I hope to get back soon and itll be open.

Even during COVID, this is a pleasant area to visit. Nice views of the river.

Very cool and relaxing place. Not alot of activity after 5 on Sundays but well worth the visit if youre looking for tranquility.

Clean, nice place to walk with wide walkways, grassy and shady spaces, amphitheatre, picnic tables, restrooms, and the river.

I really enjoyed walking around the area. It is very close to some incredible museums that are must see places! Dont miss the Equal Justice Initiative or a little further out the Legacy Museum.

The views were beautiful and the sites were educational and inspiring, its always good to see the road thats been traveled.

Nice little river stroll and evidently a place for music and other community events. Met many nice people walking along the river checking out the scene. This is a great thing for Montgomery and it is so close to food and other great spots. Parking is easy and it is very walkable.

If you are coming to Montgomery, this park would be a nice place to spend some quality time!!!

We traveled all the way from Texas with the whole family, and we enjoyed this city. I wanted to take the boat but was closed hopefully next time. The museums were great.

Nice and calm park, its kinda small however.

This is one of our favorite spots to go for a walk or take a picnic lunch. The river is beautiful, and the facilities are always clean and well maintained.

Very nice i really enjoy going down there! So if you enjoy being outside get down to the riverfront! Lots of walking and lots to see! You will enjoy yourself!

A great park with a cozy view

All I can say is Fabulous!!!!!!! I think they need to host the boat party during the summer ️time. I know we all want to see the beautiful ladies in a nice bathing suit.

I wish they would have posted the hours of operation, me and a friend took my boat up from Gunter hill and docked it where the River boat docks went through the tunnel and up to the different restaurants and when we go to get on my boat to leave was shocked to find the gates were locked at the entrance of river front park and couldnt find anybody to help or even tell me when they opened the gates again, so I ended up having to spend 25 dollars for a ride with Lyft, which was not planning on at all, then had to make time and find someone to go with me the next day and was not planning on that at all need signs explaining your hours and if you want people to come downtown by boat need to give them access to somewhere that either doesnt lock the gate or at least stays open late. its a beautiful area and maintained well

Montgomery did a great job with the Easter Egg Hunt this year! I loved seeing all the excited faces everywhere! I especially appreciated this being a free event so that many people could join! There were several activities. The people putting this on were helpful & organized. We really had a good time! Thank You!

My trip to Montgomery Alabama to the harriott II Riverboat Cruise was amazing. Me and my wife enjoy the whole Adventure immensely. The added attraction was alive band playing I forgot the name of the particular band but they were very entertaining when I ride along the boat. Everyone on the cruise seemed to enjoy themselves. I wouldnt mind taking or partaking in the cruise again.

Best place in town for a laid back relaxing evening and special events... when its open, which is not often enough. Primarily open on the weekends when there are special events, and closed during the weekdays so check online before going. It should be constantly open for walks along the river front, lunches, and just hanging out... but not.The Harriet II riverboat offers a nice one hour dinner cruise down the river and back with a blues or jazz band on the weekends and perhaps Friday evenings, too, but again, check before going.

The city went out of its way to make the Easter egg hunt a total success! My family enjoyed themselves. The place was quite amazing as my kids were able to run around. The view was also quite amazing and definitely not the Montgomery that I remember from a decade ago...which is a really good thing!

Love this place! Its one of the best family places to go they have events all the time throughout the year especially in the summer time for families and kids making playing the water fountains usually theres food and vendors the harriott II all kinds of things to do! Its one of my favorite locations in Montgomery! I recommend anybody to go even just to walk around

Cool place to visit. Check park hours- it was closed on the Saturday afternoon we visited.

I loved the park .I was able to walk right outside of the Embassy suites to Union station .This lovely old building was a step back in time .I could almost hear the train whistle .The river was directly behind Union station .This made for a lovely evening stroll and a great easy stroll.The heat made it a little muggy.

The park was clean well maintenance as well as family friendly and beautiful very peaceful I highly recommend this park to everyone

Beautiful! Gorgeous, historic area with a beautiful view of the water. The steamboat is awesome! I was amazed at the mark for the water level. Definitely a nice place to have lunch, enjoy the water and go for a steamboat ride!

A close relative & I took a lunch cruise on a river boat. We enjoyed it immensely. We recommend it to all in Central Alabama.

Unfortunate. Its mid day Saturday, this place is developed with close by beautiful attractions, scenery, restaurants, museums; however there is practically no foot traffic from tourists. Its as if an unwelcoming spirit dwells here. I wish my experience was different, but it wasnt. A beautiful ghost town.

Took a ride on the River boat for my birthday. My hubby paid for the birthday package which meant I got to drive the boat for awhile. Loved every minute of my River boat cruise. Plan on going back at a later date.

I moved to Montgomery in 2016. The riverfront has become nicer with more fun things to do every year I have been here.

Beautiful day and the kids loved the Easter Bunny. Always love going downtown. Keep up the good work.

Great atmosphere money well spent drinks were fantastic live band done a great I liked how each level of the boat was for different age groups and different music playing on each level if you have never been (like me first time) its a must Im not sure about the food didnt eat but the plates I saw the waitress bring out looked great maybe next time Ill try the food had so much fun

Place to be to walk around in the evening- downtown Montgomery

The trail overlooks the river and has some excellent views. Is perfect for walking, running, biking, or whatever activity you have in mind. Gets fairly busy on weekends and the evening in the summer so you have to be extra careful if in wheels not to run into people who aren’t paying attention. I’ve even been in quasi traffic jams. Trail could use some repaving in quite a few places and getting back across the street can be a huge challenge.
