Enjoyed playing the course on a Tuesday afternoon. Narrow fairways and small greens offset the length of the course. Pace of play was excellent and the staff, especially the starter, who gave me some good advice about the holes on the front nine. Back nine is short, but the par threes are great.

Was here early Sunday morning for a Sygma drivers meeting. Great experience the only bad this it’s winter so no golfing.

I highly recommend this beautiful course for groups. The clubhouse staff were very friendly and accommodating towards a surprise 30th Birthday of 12 people.

Old country club style course. Challenging slopey greens. Only played front nine, really fun. Well manicured for the most part. Nice course, well play again.

The golf course was in great shape!!

Not a bad course, but I expect better for $50. Ive played better local courses for less money. They served the most disgusting hot dog Ive ever eaten, in a rock hard bun that was a month old if it was a day. Thats just cheapness and laziness, and theres no excuse to serve garbage food like that.

Weekday afternoon rate was $42. A little high for this course. Overall, this was a very nice nice old world Donald Ross course. Tight fairways and small green. Course was in pretty good shape. Greens rolled true. If if was just the course, I could play it every day. The issue begins there. The course is now available for public golf. The lady running the pro shop was less than polite. This course is semi-private. The members (well at least 3 of them) were less receptive to non members. We had a foresome and played in 3:50 . The 3 members called the ranger for slow play. The ranger (good for him) stated that we were well within time but the member like to play in 3 hours. When asked if they would like to play through, he stated no. We stoped on the next tee and made them play through. No other issue after that. Long story short is that if this course wants to make it semi-private, they better make the public feel more welcome. Monroe isnt booming........

This the best kept secret in the metro area. Five star dining at three star prices. Outstanding bar and kitchen service. Can’t wait to come back and further explore the menu.

The bartenders here pour a pretty stiff drink. If you want some coffee, they do have it and its good to the last drop!! Dont expect it to be brought to your table immediately though. The dining chairs are very comfortable.

I was there for a wedding shower. Food was exceptional! Great selection for all including vegetarian and gf! Management did an excellent job making sure I was satisfied and had food I could eat. The grounds looked beautiful and I saw a pool there too. Only thing I did not see were handicap parking spaces.

Had a very nice lunch. All the food was very good and service also very good.

Awesome place.... The new owners have done a tremendous job bringing the club back. Our family loves the summer at MGCC! I never get tired of playing the club too as every round is different. Great value and highly recommended!

Went there for 50th class reunion. The prime rib was excellent and so is the bourbon. Service was excellent we had a great time .

I had the Cod Sandwich with a fruit cup. The breading on the Cod was crispy but the fish was not overcooked. The Carrot Cake dessert was very moist and tasty.

Attended a charity event here and it was amazing. The hall we were in was beautiful and the wait staff and bartenders were friendly and attentive.

Was a guest at a party here, the food was excellent as was the service!!

Yesterday, September 1, 2019 I hosted my husband’s 70th. birthday party at The Monroe Golf and Country Club. Everything was 5 star from the planning stages to packing up decorations at the end of the event. Connie Bruck, events planner a pure joy to work with. Food, service, ambience and excellent value! We’ll return!

Great venue! 90th birthday party for a dear family member. Food was excellent, wait staff was professional and very customer oriented, always taking away table clutter, refilling beverages, asking if what youd like to drink. Venue was awesome, clean and orderly. Bathrooms were well attended and very clean. Also you didnt hear noise from the kitchen.

I was there for a brunch buffet. The eggs were runny. They ran out of bacon and sausage. It was not replaced.The dining area was clean. The host and server was friendly. We ran out of water and it was not replaced.The chairs were comfortable. The space was well lit with natural light. The dining room was spacious.

I had never played here before. The guy at the counter was friendly. So were the ground crew who pointed out where to go when we were not sure where the next tee was. The course was well maintained. It had a good mix of short and long holes, water and trees to offer a challenge for everyone. All four of us said we would come back again.

If you are considering hosting an event here, congratulations you have excellent taste. Just book with them! Having previously worked in the private club industry, I will admit I went in very skeptical. Its hard not to do that when youve done the job before. On top of that, Im a foodie who loves fine dining. Needless to say; I tend to have high standards for food and service.I was here for a bridal shower brunch last weekend and those standards were definitely exceeded. Everything was amazing! Please tell the kitchen and wait staff that everything they did for us was fantastic. I so appreciate their hard work and dedication to excellence. The quiche was prepared so well- that fluffiness is unprecedented, the potatoes were phenomenal (but its not hard to get me love a carb!), and the pastries were perfectly fresh. Steps of service were perfectly executed. At MGCC, my cup runneth over- literally. Our iced tea was never empty. Well done, team!

This course is in amazing shape for this time of year. Recommend this course for all skill levels. Greens are true but slow very good conditions for scoring. Staff members are friendly and helpful. Great time

Ive only gone up there once seem to be a great little track. held in event in the clubhouse and the staff was wonderful and food was way better than anticipated.

Came in for dinner on Mothers Day and felt extremely disappointed for my mother, grandmother, and aunt after a severly overpriced and poor quality meal. While we had a few issues with service, the issues with our server were minor compared to the issues with our food. We actually felt sorry for our server as it seemed like maybe she was new and still training or was a bit overwhelmed.My fiance and I ordered the filet & lobster at $45 per plate. We received mashed potatoes with a dime sized drizzle of gravy (we suspect they were running low on this in the kitchen and didnt want to make more). Other family members didnt even get gravy on their potatoes and had to ask for it. Mind you, these were plain and possibly instant mashed potatoes, not garlic redskin, etc to where you would eat the potatoes plain without gravy.My lobster smelled awful and I did not eat it. It actually caused me to lose my appetite. We suspect the lobster was not cooked while alive which is a health code violation. The melted butter had an odd taste, which I later figured out was due to the fact that it was melted margarine and not real butter.The rest of the family ordered the Ribeye and BBQ shrimp dish which was roughly $35 per plate. They felt their intelligence was extremely insulted as they realized about a quarter of a way through their steak that it was a large new york strip and not a ribeye. From a cost perspective this is so deceptive to customers. Shame on the chef for thinking that because the steak was so large people wouldnt figure this out.My family has experience working in restaurants, myself included, so we are typically patient and understanding but there were too many issues to not say something. I looked at other tables and noticed we were not the only ones sending food back to the kitchen.Every person at our table was offered free dessert for our troubles, but I would have rather had money taken off of our bills. The carrot cake was absolutely amazing, but this was the only part of our dinner that we enjoyed. My advice to upper management is to hit the reset button on your staff in the kitchen.

Went for a Baby shower. Food was wonderful they served chicken salad and French fries. Parking lot is under construction so its a little messy but overall a good experience.

Attended a bridal shower there on Saturday. It was wonderful, the way the bride, family, and guests were treated. The food was amazing, with a beautiful presentation, and taste. I ate way too much.

I had my daughters baby shower there when the new owners had just got possession of the building. They went over and above to accommodate us.The food was fantastic and the comments I received from our guests were all positive.

Food has improved, facility is the same. Much to improve to catch up to neighboring Country Clubs

The Monroe golf club was an amazing place to have our event it looked very elegant and beautiful and the staff was outstanding.

Lovely course and any course that opens itself up for our special Olympic tournaments deserves a five star rating. But this course truly is gorgeous, challenging and well maintained with challenging greens and well designed layout.

Attended a fundraiser for a charity. The club was recently purchased by new owners, once again and renovations were being done. You should not expect too very a decent or even good vegetarian meal here. Otherwise the venue was nice for the event.

This is the finest course in the county. The greens are the truest you will find. The maintenance crew does one heck of a job throughout the course.

I have a group of 8 guys that travel on sunday morning to play different courses in south michigan. Well we found a gem in Monroe Golf and C.C. people were friendly, play was at great pace, fairways were like carpet and greens were in great shape and ran true. Thanks for delightful round of golf. We have definitely put you on our list of repeat play.

Restaurant was empty when we arrived but I cant understand why! We had lasagna and filet mignon and it was perfectly delicious. The service was great and the environment was very pleasant. We highly recommend!!!

Wonderful facilities, but our recent Easter brunch was a disaster. They were understaffed, the food was cold, and the waiting time was lengthy.

When I attended a banquet in their hall, there was an unfortunate incident that was through no fault of the servers. The way the staff sprang into action to help was great, and the dinner continued with minimal interruption.
