Nice views up here. They are really putting work into this area after taking the damn out. It has a nice place to picnic with a view of the river. They put in historic signs giving you pictures and the history of the damn. There are bathrooms and a paved walkway at the top which makes it easy to access if youre in a wheelchair or find walking a bit hard. We joined in on a day the park service had a wildflower Walk. They new their stuff. Told us all the flower names and even the weeds.

The State really did a beautiful job on this park it is awe inspiring and a photo in any direction of incredible landscaping.

If you float from here be careful. my sons tube popped on a hidden under water log then he himself got snagged on it. thank god he had a lifejacket on. he can swim but Im overly protective. I will never float from this point again due to Im sure Id get flashbacks so please be careful!!!

My favorite place to fly my quadcopter, usually very quiet and peaceful. It is close the the interstate but wouldnt be a bad spot for a picnic.
