Terra and Maurillio are very experienced teachers who deliver the information in a kind and thoughtful way, working with each student individually to ensure progress and success no matter your level of experience. This was perhaps the finest instruction I have ever received! Terra and Maurillio provided me with careful classical training that allowed me to draw in a way that I had not thought possible. Both Terra and Maurillio come to us fresh from distinguished fine art schools in Italy, trained in the traditions of the old masters.I am a beginner, but during the two day prep class I learned techniques that allowed me to look at my subject with a new, measuring eye. I strongly recommend this class as the best you will find in Missoula.

There were many “ah ha” moments of discovery. One example, when you can finally visualize and draw the lines, planes, and shadows on the face/figure that eluded you for so many years. Thank you, Terra and Mau. I would highly recommend Missoula Fine Art Studio’s Russian Portrait Drawing and Long Pose Figure Drawing classes. Both Terra and Mau have helped me improve my drawing skills with their knowledge, talent, and experience teaching students with their method modeled after the 19th century European art academies.
