Beautiful, if quaint Japanese garden. It has a gazebo, where reportedly weddings take place. Perhaps it once had a real water pond that dried up and now has a zen rock and gravel. Its open sunrise to sunset. On a working day, it had its fair share of visitors. A modest place of solace on a busy street just a block away. Worth a visit.
Our Pack, Pack 108 did a service project here racking leaves. It was a peaceful fun project. We will definitely be back to be visit outside of community service.
Peaceful place to see, popular for weddings. Great place to sit and relax.
Very nice Japanese garden, its really small but clean and peaceful.
Beautiful park and a lovely setting for prom, senior, or family photos. Quiet and off the beaten path. This park is open SEVEN days a week, Sunday-Saturday but Google has it open M-F(which are the office hours.)
Nivel place. Great for pictures!
Beautiful authentic Japanese garden in Mishawaka. I love taking a stroll through this garden and it so beautiful when the cherry blossoms bloom. Also beautiful for weddings, my sister had hers here and it was so perfect!
Not at all what I was expecting. Really not anything to see here and doesn’t provide much of a walk either.
Was here for winter opening. Decorations were geat and staff very friendly.
Such a beautiful place. Always needs a little maintenance but it doesnt take away from the beauty. My husband and I were married here and it was just lovely.
Nice but very small
As someone who loves Japan, this was about as close as Ive been able to get to being there. It was beautiful, and tons of fun!
The garden was a lot smaller than we expected so we didnt stay long. I liked the idea of this type of park more than the actual park if that makes sense.
One of the most beautiful gardens Ive ever seen
I visited this place with my daughter and I took pictures of her birthday I loved it
Lobed it was so peaceful took alot of pic at home hrte my bedroom in orrntisl design just loved it
Amazing place for photo shoot. Great trees and bridges! Lots of seasonal changes that make it different. Love this place!
Very beautiful great wedding site
Absolutely wonderful. Very beautiful, and very well kept. Its gated, so its closed at night to keep people from vandalizing, which is awesome. The trees and flowers are beautiful in the spring and summer. Its nice and quiet and a great place to relax. Also a wonderful place for photoshoots and weddings. Definitely worth the trip to visit!
The garden trees are just starting to bloom out. It is smaller than I thought but crowded. But I liked it and I think I will return when it gets nicer outside.
Beautiful and Serene place. I love going here to take pictures.
Absolutely beautiful. A huge part of its beauty is in its simplicity. Very clean and very fun to walk around.
So peaceful! Stress relief great picture
Enjoying a peaceful respite in the city.
Beautiful place to take a stroll or do a photo shoot, especially during the spring/summer/fall.
Shiojiri Garden is a little gem nestled in the heart of Mishawaka. The scenery and visual aspects make it a wonderful place for weddings or just simple photography.
Beautiful ingress portal
This is, in my opinion one of the most beautiful parks Ive ever seen. Probably about as close to a real Japanese garden as youll see outside Japan.
Nice and peaceful right in town.
Wonderful little garden tucked away near the river. Mishawaka is sister city to Shiojiri, Japan. Gated, but accessible. Great place for pictures.
Beautiful but very small. Not enough places to sit. One couple was sitting under the shade and we went to sit and it felt like we were intruding
Nice to see a little bit of Japan in suburban Indiana. Very peaceful.
Fun park to visit.
Great garden to see spring flowers
This is a cute little park. It is near a free water park and also a pool (which might not be free). There is also easy access to a trail along the river. Since there doesnt seem to be a lot to do in South Bend, this is probably one of the better attractions!
Great views and it is very peaceful and calm.
This place is the most awkward wedding venue.
Really pretty place
Beautiful little garden. Even got treated with a mother and her ducklings.
This is a very tranquil and beautiful spot.
Cute gardens - just on the small side. Very enjoyable to walk around.
Beautiful japanese garden. Been there for a walk and for a wedding. Worth time to wander, reflect, and take pictures
First time being there. Thought it was very beautiful.
We were married here it was perfect
Married here. Beautiful
I’ve been to Japan. Reminds me of Some of the gardens.
Its well kept and does have some pretty flowers and landscaping, but its pretty small. If youre planning on walking through it youll probably be done in a minute or two.
Very well kept, no trash or graffiti seen during our time there. Excellent spot for taking pictures
Gives a realistic veiw on Japan honicaltur
Beautiful area. Close to a road (only bad thing ). Good for a small wedding.
Beautiful setting for my daughters wedding
Clean garden, great for taking photos
Great place for quiet.
Peaceful, quiet and well-kept area
I got married here...it was beautiful. Lots of flowers and blooming trees in the spring.
Beautiful. Just very small
