I really enjoyed the place, would like to come back in warmer weather to see all the animals, but my only complaint is that its hard to navigate this place with a wheelchair. Its very bumpy and in some spots theres no pavement at all. Hopefully they upgrade it into smoother sidewalk in the future, otherwise we loved it!

No many animals but the ones we did get to see were well taken care of... it might also be the time of year we were here. Covid has put a damper on many things.

I used to volunteer here all the time. The staff are super friendly, and the exhibits are really cool. The new tiger exhibit is really cool. They have some cool animals that I have never seen before. And they even have a kids side of the zoo where you can interact with some farm animals and have a great time as a family.

First visit since the Big Cat addition was completed. It is impressive. Simply a nice zoo. Highly recommend.As a side note, I enjoy visiting on cooler days, ad most animals seem a little more active. Not scientific, just my personal experience.

Nice small zoo. The new tiger and lion habitats were very well done. I liked the bridges for the tigers to go overhead to another area of the habitat.

Best zoo in ND hands down. Recently opened a new modernized big cat habitat. Been going here since I was a child and now I bring my kids there. Must visit for visitors with kids.

Wonderful zoo with many more upgraded this year alone. Lions, tigers, and bears and many more exotic animals to be seen. Plenty of clean bathrooms and they also have a wonderful concession stand thats very reasonably priced. For a small town like Minot to have a zoo of this quality is unheard of! Reasonable entry rates and a super affordable yearly pass for the family! What more could you ask for!

The zoo is tidy and it is nice to go there with family. My nieces loved the penguins and petting the goats. The new tiger exhibit is nice and spacious. Good for a few hours with the family.

Awesome park, Zoo. Not the biggest zoo, but very well kept. We went on a wet day to see the giraffe and were very disappointed that it wasnt allowed to come out. The 1 person with us went only to see the giraffe and was not happy that she didnt see it.

Much improved from my last visit six years ago. Im glad to see it coming along. If the rest of the zoo improves the same as the lion and tiger enclosures, this could be a strong regional draw.

While it may not be the largest zoo, it is well maintained and the staff is super helpful and informative. I would recommend everyone visiting at least once, especially if you have small children.

The Roosevelt Park Zoo is a great place. Sadly though this zoo is aged and a lot of enclosures are not up to standards for some animals. The big cat exhibits were particularly small.

A large variety of animals who seem to enjoy the attention of visitors. Great staff & volunteers. All were very caring & knowledgeable of the animals. Bring $5 to feed the giraffes. Its a great experience & the money is a donation to the giraffe program. Definitely a great little zoo!

It is small with a decent amount of animals some I hadn’t seen in other zoos across the US. I liked that for the most part the animals were close enough to truly sit and watch them. And they were all out. Disappointed to see that the Alpaca and Llama had no grass to eat on. It was clean but hardly saw staff out and about. My biggest issue had to been the workers at the concession area they were not friendly, seemed bothered by anyone approaching the window. Other then that it was a nice little outing for my family.

Always love this place. Love all the work that has been done for the big cats.

Nice zoo. We were given a long lecture upon entrance that we would be unable to use our plus pass because of the Bismarck zoo. It was awkward and unnecessary since I obviously cannot get my Bismarck zoo pass without having a worker complete it.

Sweet zoo, clean, and you get close to the animals. I dont know why the lions are now so close to the giraffes, the momma giraffe couldnt stop staring and glaring at the lions exhibit, she seemed stressed looking right at an enemy! She hears their close roar, too.

The Zoo staff are so friendly and helpful! Its a small zoo but they are actively making improvements to it. Its a great, inexpensive way to spend an afternoon with your family!

A wonderful place to visit and spend time with family

Extremely sad... the tiger was pacing because it was extremely stressed out (along with no mental/physical stimulation) in its small, muddy enclosure with nothing but wooden stumps around in it... the okapi was closed in a small room with ONLY a little bit of sawdust in the room, nothing else.... that was the final straw for me (among several other things) in my 20 min visit that caused me to abruptly leave. No photos because frankly it was too sad to take any. I do not expect this to be like the Zoos in San Diego, Toledo, etc... but they should at least be able to properly accommodate their animals... would give 0 stars if I could.

Giraffe feeding is only reason we came here...Zoo is a zoo, we get that, there isnt much we can do as visitors but to support. Zoo is great place for fun & experience for the kids and some adults, its just most likely always going to be around.Either way animals are going to stay in the cages. But i do strongly feel that the quality of cages & exhibits can be greatly improved. Some are way too small, and only have barely foilage for most of animals here.Im sure zoo business may be more complicated than this, but I feel that little details can help the animals and the visitors too.Overall, didnt like it much, but I do have to give credit for many varieties of animals

Small zoo but very nice. Wish the enclosures for the animals were bigger but you are able to get really close. Looks like they are expanding.

It was really cold, but overall you can tell the zookeepers love their job and the animals are really happy. We got to feed some billy goats and my family has lots of fun!

The cages could be a little bigger but they feed and treat the animals very well! They get as close to their diets in the wild as they can and the staff are very nice

This zoo is making huge improvements to the animal enclosures right now. The new enclosures are beautiful and what these animals deserve. The landscaping and upkeep of the zoo is just beautiful and really well cared for. The zookeepers love to share knowledge and help families get to know the animals better!

Even though it rained the grandkids and us had a great time. We will be back next year hopefully.

Omg we had an amazing time at the zoo here we got to feed and pet the giraffes for only $5 they also let us take pictures with them the staff was really nice about everything! I really loved watching the otters play in their water! You can also feed goats there they are doing a lot of renovating I can’t wait to go again we went twice this last week because they had a free day sponsored by midco then we took my fiancé’s family this last weekend.

The Minot zoo was pretty awesome my grand kids just loved it

This was a nice small zoo. Not as nice as Bismarcks but great for the kids. I would say my only complain was that the big cat enclosures where tiny. I am normally not a person so complain about something like that. But they are so small I would not even keep my dog in something that small.

Honestly this zoo is pretty much the only highlight in Minot. Definitely worth going to. Affordable prices. Beautiful exhibits and a wide variety of animals, including some rare species. Great place to take the family.

This is such a nice zoo! Its better than some of the zoos Ive been to in cities twice Minots size. They have a kids train zoo tour (I think its $5) and concessions and bathrooms throughout. There are lions, tigers, bears,giraffes, monkeys, lemurs, penguins, some local wildlife(wolves, buffalo, etc) and much more! Its in Roosevelt park, which is a beautiful park and also has a public pool. Highly recommend!

Cute little zoo, but I feel the cages need to be.bigger for certain animals but I do like the setup as how they have cages going across trees for theLemers and Monkeys which is cool but for the bigger Animals, I feel they need bigger cages. Still a nice place to go on a little adventure.

While we were sitting at the snacks stand someone went to throw away their garbage a squirrel jumped out the scared the s*** out of them best moment of the day.

The zoo is busy building new exhibits which will be a huge plus for bringing in visitors. It was a beautiful morning when we were there so we were able to see most of the animals. Our granddaughter loves feeding the goats

We visited the zoo during the winter and we had a great time here.Even though during the winter a portion of the animals arent out, you can still have a lot of fun and is definitely a place you have to see when you are in town.The tigers are great and this zoo offers the closest view to them I have ever experienced. You are litteraly feet away from them and they are actually out in the open instead of behind some glass.The staff is very friendly and passionate about the animals. I love that they like to give you random interesting facts about the animals.

Who would think Minot USA had a zoo? Its fantastic! Lions, tigers, bears, exotics, bison, aviary, leopards, monkeys, lemurs... More all here in Minot. Recommend the family pass for people that like to take their kids to the zoo!

The zoo is under construction to improve the habitat for the big cats but was still a really fun place to visit. The bears were awesome, as were the giraffes. We will certainly visit again when we return to Minot.

Right now (July 2019), the zoo is just okay. They are renovating many of the enclosures so Im sure in the future it will be quite nice. Very cheap prices!

What a cool little zoo. In two hours we saw more animals actively engaging in their pens than I have in an entire day at larger zoos.

Great little zoo. A nice variety of animals in very nice habits. There are a couple new habits under construction to give those animals a larger living area.

As always it is amazing

For a small city this zoo is pretty great! They have a great volunteer contingent among their staff and you can tell they care for the animals. They are always trying to raise money to improve the housing for the animals. They always seem to have community outreach events going on and there are often lots of people.

Great zoo! not as big as your big city zoos, but the Minot Zoo has a lot to offer, and reasonably priced

Pretty fun. Fair pricing. We went when it was 90+ with 40 % humidity so most of the animals where shacked up. All in all the family had a great time. Cant wait to return on a cooler day

We love the zoo! We have the zoo pass, and for convenience and how often we go, it is worth it. The animals are always asleep. And they are under construction. The gift shop is somewhat reasonably priced. The bathrooms are generally clean. The zoo is a nice stroll with animals

The kids always enjoy going to the zoo. But the last few times it seems like most of the animals are not too active.
