New MTB trail still needs to be broken in, but has great potential. Feels like a mini Cuyuna. Great combo of climbing, tight corners, banks, jumps, and fast gradual descents.

Great little park. Very picturesque and quiet. Lots of wildlife to watch. There are a lot of bugs due to the nature of the lake, but if you come prepared, they should be no problem.

Beautiful park with native trees and plants in forest, prairie and fresh meadow around Lone Lake. Native and migratory songbirds, waterfowl, and raptors with uncommon nesting birds. Spring ephemeral wildflowers, American lotus, many pollinators including butterflies, dragon- and damselflies, and rusty-patched bumblebee. Recent addition of pickleball courts tore out trees and other pollinator habitat; proposed new trail construction will fragment habitat, compact the soil, remove trees and plants, and damage others; wildlife will be displaced and erosion will degrade the park.

Its a quiet pace and very beautiful. It has a very nice shelter which is great for outdoor parties. It can fit around 40 people. There are two grills near it, a clean restroom, a playground and a basketball field. The sceneries are spectacular specially in fall with all the yellow and red leaves. The trails are very nice too.

This is one of my favorite parks in Minnetonka! It has a big and nice soccer field, basketball and tennis courts, childrens playground and ... Of course its beautiful pickleball courts! You can also walk or run on a number of trails there, but this year (2019) most of them are flooded and impassable. Many people come to enjoy the fields and courts anyway.

Very peaceful spot - other than the guys playing basketball by the parking lot! Interesting glacial topography - which means some steep hills. We went on 5/2/18 hoping to see some migrating birds, but none there yet. Massive old trees! Plenty of recreational opportunities as you drive in. Hopefully, theyll vote to keep mountain bikes out of the park - that would be disastrous to that sensitive area, which has been rehabilitated.

BEAUTIFUL little park tucked in a quiet corner of Hopkins. Nice soccer field, tennis court, basketball hoops and the trails through the woods are divine. Itd be nice to have an extra tennis court or two as leagues use the park sometimes but if the court is taken its a great place to take a walk or run instead.

Nice soccer field with an inconvenient placement. The road that makes the ball go all the way down the hill and the woods isnt always thick enough to stop the balls. But its plenty thick for lots of mosquitoes.Still a nice field though. Cant complain, could be worse.

Great Park that includes full sized soccer fields near the entrance (also used for lacrosse) a large hill that is too tree-covered to sled on, hiking trails through pretty wooded areas, a small dock (cant imagine Lone Lake has many fish worth catching), a playground, amd picnic shelter for rent through City of Minnetonka Park and Rec.

Sunday April 5th, 2014 was one of the first warm and sunny days after our epic winter. It was a perfect day to re-create the Sunday drives we used to take back in the 60s and 70s. After a late brunch I found myself heading toward Lake Minnetonka when all of a sudden I saw a sign post for Lone Lake Park. Deciding to do some exploring I drove in and parked. On a day when the chain of lakes were clogged with pedestrians, bikers ad joggers this lovely park was empty. While the driveway to the lake was still chained off it was possible to park and then walk to the lake. Once there I found a lovely little lake set into a bowl of hills and woods. After a short walk into the park it is possible to feel like one is up north on an isolated lake. The park is large and there are no buildings along the lake shore. With birds singing, sun, and a warm wind blowing it was a lovely treat to be in a natural area just a few miles from downtown Minneapolis.
