My husband and I did the your and tasting. Our guide was Andy. He was Awesome. Good mix of educational information and humor. ASK HIM ABOUT THE DISCO BALL IN THE BASEMENT OMG. The tour was interesting. He was also our bartender when we went up for the tasting. Polite, professional and funny. We had a great time definitely recommend it. We got a deal on everything in the shop with the tour price. So shirt and lemon honey vodka for me and rye whiskey for my husband. The lemon vodka didnt get tested but the regular one did and it went down smooth, so I got the lemon which is fantastic. Smells like lemon pie . All the tasting were good and well made went down smooth. No harsh burning throat feeling.

Fun experience, great atmosphere, typical prices. Not too crowded. Seems like they do a good job keeping the place Covid safe.

This is a great place to have a reasonably priced craft cocktail. The drinks are great and the staff is awesome. Do a tour sometime. Educational, fun, and you get to sample quite a variety of their stuff.

The tour is great and very informative. Fun for the non-drinker in the crowd to hear about the prohibition history as well. Had a drink afterward on the patio, great bourbon old fashion on tap.

My wife and I had great time. Really great bartenders/tour guides. All of their products are really good. For me, the gin and still oak bourbon were the best. Its a great local company with a unique product you cant find anywhere else. Give them a try if you havent already done so. You can order your tour tickets online to make sure you get the day and time you want.

Girlfriend and I walked into GLD as we spent a few days in Milwaukee. Tour was sweet. Learned a few new things on some of our favorite liquors and some facts on how the company began its journey. We picked up a few bottles after the tasting samples they provide at the end of the tour. We will be coming back to reup our home bar!

Food was great! So delicious! But the service I received was so sub par, I wont be back. The bar tender with long black greasy hair.. Ben I believe? Hes very arrogant, and for quite literally NO reason. I just wanted a drink, and apparently he just had a bad attitude. I guess if you dont wanna serve paying customers, dont have a job? Food was 5 star. Service 1 star.

From the minuted we enter the Distillery they were welcoming. From the second we sat at the bar, the team were friendly and attentive. Brendan was our tour guide and he was amazing! After spending a week down at Louisville exploring the bourbon trail - it was refreshing to have a more organic tour. Not a tour which felt just recited every hour, on the hour. He was informative and funny and answered our questions! So much fun, and had lots of fun...

My boyfriend and I went this past weekend and had a great time! I learned so much and I cant wait to flex my new spirits knowledge on other people. The tasting experience was amazing and we met a hilarious couple. To solidify our bond, we all ended with absinthe --rosé for me Great way to.start a date night out with high quality spirits and an awesome staff!

Stopped here the last time I was in Milwaukee. Ive never done a distillery tour before, but the tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny and the tour was very informative. They had plenty of free samples of the different liquors they make at the end of the tour. After the tour, they have a gift shop and retail store, along with a bar with craft cocktails featuring the liquors they make there. All the cocktails I had tasted great. I look forward to coming back again soon.

I attended a wedding this weekend at Great Lakes Distillery. It was a 5 star event. I enjoyed everything. Purchased an Apple Brandy to take back to Minnesota!! Delicious on the rocks ALL of the staff deserve credit they were fantastic. Thank you GLD

First time here and I was very disappointed I heard great things about this place and wanted to see how it was. When we got there the atmosphere was very uninviting wasnt created had to wait at the bar to ask how we order food. I had ordered a drink and it wasnt what I had expired had asked if I could get something else they said unfortunately we cant switch the drinks. The only good thing was we got a free shot for Ireland New Years. While we were eating they had music out and about 4 times we could hear the tv loud and clear and couldnt hear the music which I thought was very rude knowing its a bar and they had the Irish music off. Half way during our meal one of the guys came and asked for our plate because they needed more plates and we werent done with our food. Sad to say I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone especially for someone coming out of town as we had a friend from out of town and it was embarrassing.

First time being to a distillery, the bartender Scotty was awesome went above and beyond when we were there, and gave us some good drink recommendations. Their Gin was delicious.

We did not take a tour, just stopped in for happy hour. Pretty ok for the price. The tots were super tasty and the cocktails were good. Didn’t feel connected to the place.

Very knowledgeable of the brewing process and the history of brewing. Enjoyed it very much. This is a great one to do if youre really interested in the history and process of brewing, not only just beer, but whiskey, gin, and vodka. Got to sample six different liquors towards the end.

Just made my best Manhattan EVER. All my usual ingredients, with one new change. Your Still & Oak Bourbon gives the other $100/ bottle brands some serious competition at a ⅓ the price... Well Done!

Stopped in for their 10th anniversary party. $5 cocktails, not too shabby. The decor was very nice, as was the outdoor seating area.

I love this place. Was in Milwaukee for a business trip. Being a whiskey fan I stopped into this distillery for an hour and had a great time. Friendly and helpful bartenders who treated me like I was a regular. Fun twists on classic cocktails made using their fine crafted spirits. The Rye Whiskey was my favorite.

The best part was the popcorn at the end of the tour (which is not saying much). Please avoid this site. The tour guy is boring and lacks excitement. I was bored and more bored on this tour. I will never visit this place again. They try to act like a big Distillery when there not. They bore you to death before giving the tasting and only give a drop of alcohol for each tasting. This was a HUGE let down from what I remember. Everything in the gift shop is over priced. Id give this establishment an F+, if that was a thing.

We went for the distillery tour. Although small and short the tour was very informative and entertaining. Our tour guide was awesome. Bonus part was you get 6 free samples at the end. $10 well spent. It was a great place to do something at during the week.

My boyfriend and I stopped in for a couple of drinks, and we were the only people in the bar. Our bartender Andy was phenomenal and gave excellent suggestions when I was having trouble deciding what I wanted. The drinks were top notch and tasty! We will definitely be back again, for both the tour and the amazing drinks/service. I cant wait to try some new things and learn a little about distilling in Wisconsin!

We thought it was pretty good, our tour guide was very informative and knowledgeable of the distilling process, the tour was in just one room but it is a small distillery so that’s what you get with a small distillery. The samples were good to try and it was a nice bar

The tour guide I had was very knowledgeable but it stops there. He acted like giving a tour was such a drag and a major inconvenience to him. As far as the spirits go, the whiskey was alright. I think a bottle of Russels Reserve single barrel would be a much better value. The vodka was pretty good as far as plain vodka goes. The rum, on the other hand, made me almost throw up. It sounds trite but that was probably the worst rum Ive had. Even a Captain Morgan or Bacardi would be more deserving of consumption. I always think back to the rum from here whenever I have a rum drink and I just remember that awful taste in my mouth. It seems more like a place for older people trying to jump on the bandwagon of a younger crowd interested in quality spirits.

We did the “tour” which consisted of standing in one room. We were then given six 1/2oz. pours of a few different liquors. If you are looking for a fun place to hang out afterwards, the bar was busy and there were tables to hang out at. It also looked like they served food. Fun to do once.

The staff is always very friendly and informative. They have a great selection of cocktails on their regular menu as well as an interesting rotating list. The tours are fun and packed full info (especially the historical tour on Sundays).

Loved the different spirits, the very knowledgeable guides, the jovial attitude, and the service. Cant say enough about this place. I actually had bought a bottle of rum and had gone to a Dave and Busters with the bag, the bag tore open and the bottle shattered. Went back the next morning to the distillery and they replaced it for free.

The Great Lakes Distillery is fantastic. Amazing cocktails (I highly recommend the honey-citrus cosmo!) and an amazing $7 tour. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the tasting at the end of the tour is the best. Delicious spirits for sure.

Wow. We didnt even stay for a drink. There was a street party that day, cops everywhere, they were fine with us walking around with beer from other brewery but the bartender at GLD was so angry when my husband walked in with a beer, told us we couldnt stay and took the beer and dumped it. He was psychotic, needs to get off the steroids or take some Seroquel. We left before we even had a drink. The guy was so pissed my husband came in with a beer and lectured us about how it was illegal he had to leave and collect himself before coming back to bar. Needs some medication.

Interesting place. Booze is unrefined and has distinctive burn. Not my taste, but would seem well enough for others.

Gin, mint, lemon, soda. Rotating on tap cocktails and custom crafted drinks.

Cleanliness was mediocre - a soda longer broke before we got the and it hadnt been cleaned up by the time we left a hour and a half later. Bartender was terrible - she barely acknowledged is when we came in, and the drinks were mediocre. She admitted to not measuring out the alcohol due the first drinks and poured herself a whole drink and drank it in front of us. The owner and a manager were at the bar the whole time. Food was OK, nothing special.

Bartenders are amazing and the drinks are even better. Seriously, the cocktails are out of this world
