Absolutely stunning! We didnt get there until 20 minutes before closing. The caretaker was wonderful and let us stay an extra ten minutes since my visitors were from out of town. It was a little difficult to find the entrance, but well worth searching!

A beautiful space. Looks recently renovated so everything sparkles. Theres a downstairs area with bathrooms and a gift shop. Erected by Polish immigrants at the end of the 19th century.

An absolutely stunning Church with an amazing choir. The architecture and stained glass are truly inspiring and an inspirational story built by polish immigrants. When I was there they did a tour after the 10 a.m. Sunday mass that was very informative.

Beautiful historical Basilica that has been preserved very well. Friendly staff for the tourist area/shop. Highly recommend to experience the sacraments there.

This place was absolutely stunning. We hate to have missed the inside (got there a few minutes till close but it seems like their clocks run just a few minutes fast). May come back to visit Milwaukee just to see this again.

Went to Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra concert and it was amazing both acoustically and aesthetically. Have not been to the Basilica in at least 20 years and was more than pleased. It is so much better than I remember, they did a remarkable job of cleaning and lightning restoration. I definitely plan on returning to enjoy more of its absolutely stunning beauty.

The most LEGIT Catholic Church in Wisconsin by far. The community is friendly and welcoming. The music is sacred, traditional, and beautiful. The staff leadership is excellent. I am so glad to be a member of this parish. They offer tours after the 10am Mass. There is a gift shop and historical exhibit downstairs as well as the undercroft or lower church with multiple saint relics and sacred art. They host various events throughout the year including Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra concerts.

Beautiful. Gorgeous. Just amazing. I highly recommend making time for mass here if youre from out of town. Its super ornate, massive, has a really high ceiling, lots of stained glass, paintings, shrines, etc.I come here for the awing beauty, but as an added bonus Ive yet to attend a mass I havent enjoyed.Note: Down the street is St. Stanislaus Oratory, you can go there for a traditional Latin mass. Its hard to follow so read the scriptures before hand. Its very cool to see though.

Beautiful church, I had wanted to see it for many years. I was so happy to finally see it. Seeing the chorus sing, it was a wonderful experience. We plan on going back for future performances.

Someone once told me that going to this Basilica is like going to Europe, without ever leaving Milwaukee. Now I know what they mean. It is absolutely gorgeous.I came in here and just wandered around. They have a nice little exhibit that talks about the history of the Basilica. However, apparently they have a tour Sunday after mass. I think it would be worth you doing a tour to hear more about the architecture and the history of this fantastic place.

One of the biggest, amazingly beautiful Basilica I have been, I went during the week, so I was the only one enjoying this amazing place, it was very clean and well-maintained, must see place in Milwaukee.

We didn’t go here for worship, but we came here for an exquisite concert by Frank Almond, Concertmaster of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. He filled the gigantic room with his spectacular violin playing, and this facility was so beautiful, it became a character in the drama of his musical explorations.This place is an environment of exquisite and classic beauty. There’s an atmosphere of grandeur and calm that’s unmatched anywhere, especially here in the Milwaukee area. The building has a storied history, and a visit here will not leave you disappointed, even if you’re not religious.

I spent a few hours in Milwaukee and found this place on a list of things to see. The outside if amazing but inside its even more beautiful and awe-inspiring. The stained glass windows are especially amazing but the statues in the basement are also great, dont miss them

I went to a funeral at St. Josaphats Basilica. The church made a beautiful place for that service. Rather old school, some Latin, some Polish songs. The music was angelic echoing through the church. I would love to see a concert there.

A place definitely worth visiting if you want to see lovely religious art and great architecture. And dont forget to buy a piece of chocolate to contribute with maintenance and restoration

We went on a weekday so there weren’t tours but the gift shop attendant offered us the Visitor Guide and Tour pamphlet so we could look around at our own pace. The stain glass windows and paintings are breath taking. The Reliquary was open and staffed so we were able to see relics such as pieces of fabric from the veil of the Virgin Mary as well as bones and hair from many other Saints. They have an incredible collection of relics. It’s also air conditioned so it’s peaceful and wonderful to just sit in a pew and relax.

If you are visiting Milwaukee this is a must see! Even if you arent religious, the architecture and beauty of the basilica is absolutely breath taking. Open to the public the majority of the time, and there is parking outside and a gift shop inside.

I have never seen such a place like this. It is so ornate and beautiful, with attention to detail, its hard to wrap your mind around it all. Its totally different than anything else, a great getaway and reprieve from normal life. I cant believe someone was able to even conceive of such a design and decor. Amazing experience.

The outside is nice enough. But the interior is something else. Amazing amount of detail. Words and pictures dont do it justice. They also have a large collection of relics in the basement. (Likely) volunteer staff welcomes visitors with a quick into about the Basilica. There is no entrance fee but please do make a donation at the entrance. There is a small gift shop as well. We had a little trouble finding the entrance, it is at the right side facing the building.

Its an amazing Church. History is great. It was built from all the bricks from a dismantled federal US Postal Customs building in Chicago. Front door handles have the scales of Justice:) Take the your or attend mass.

Visited secularly for doors open Milwaukee, so I can only review it as a tourist, and it is gorgeous. Worth a visit. Such a lovely place. Its incredible that its in Milwaukee.

Its just a shame the neighborhood dont do more to help keep the area look great with what they have in their backyard (so to speak). When you enter the Basilica (near the gift shop), immediately to your right there’s a large crucifix hanging on the wall. A gentleman working there told us it had been saved from a church that was destroyed during the Battle of Monte Cassino in Italy during WWII.Incredibly historic and beautiful landmark and church in Milwaukee. Go for mass, but if at all possible take the tour as well.
