Cool place! This was the 1st time I visited, but Milwaukee really needs places like this! It keeps little ones safe, off the streets, they have games, events, and even live animals! A lady even hand painted the walls downstairs with different animals! Amazing!!! I highly recommend for everyone to check this place out!!!
Great staff! A nice ecology program in the city. Educational childrens programs. Friendly walking paths.
We visited with a group of Cub Scouts. The volunteer guides were friendly and knowledgeable. The venue itself is really cool, and situated in a really cool area along the Hank Aaron trail.
Cool, cool space. Site of SWAN art exhibit. Opened the day i went. I want to go there again to see the exhibit and. Explore the Center. Theyve grown to 3 locations. Wonderful addition to the city.
I enjoyed going to the Werq dancing class that is every Tuesday starting at 6pm. Its a good way to lose weight, and meet some great people.
Pretty place. Great rehab of an old building. People were really welcoming. I just stopped in to eat lunch somewhere warm while on a winter hike through the parks but it looked like they had some really fun classes on offer.
Love this place! Clean facilities and they always have many different activities going on. The staff is always super friendly and helpful!
Meh was expecting more but upper staff comes across as passive-aggressive. Eye rolling, indirect messages, or not remembering others doesnt get you anywhere. Front desk person is always nice however! Also have tried volunteering here in the gardens...and have never been given a chance to...its only for people who rent a plot, stewards, or volunteers who attended an orientation. Orientations are given on selected times and days, same day and time selection each month which not everyone can accommodate to. Not to mention their alleged/apparent long list of signed-up volunteers. Sometimes communicating is an issue for questions, getting bounced from one person to the other to get a response that doesnt seem worth the time. System is odd. Good mission and place but definitely needs work. Parking is hard to find and through traffic can be hectic when kids are getting dropped off to the center, narrow streets dont help either.
Very beautiful building and surrounding. I love the trails you can walk on they r nice and peaceful. The people who work there r very friendly and helpful as well.
Wow! I really cant say enough about this space and their staff. I enjoyed my time hereThe kids look so happy and are really smart. One told me that she comes everyday and she hopes to work there when she gets older. I plan to donate art supplies and have already donated coloring sheets for their children. Wonderful space. Cant wait to visit again!
Great place to bring the kidsYou can get a membership for very cheap which allows you to borrow their equipment. Nice trails. Very educational.
Beautiful facility and friendly staff! The Urban Ecology Center makes exploring nature and enjoying the outdoors accessible and affordable thru the rentals and programs they offer. A true treasure for the city of Milwaukee!
Cool place. Kids loved it
We always enjoy visiting UEC and participating at their various activities. No matter the seaso this place is always beautiful.
Was here for an event. Great space and the slide was an added bonus!
Beautiful place! I would recommend for everyone to go. Everyone who works and volunteers there are amazing and nice people.
The lounge are inside is a little small but we always feel welcome to stay awhile. Love the staff at this and all locations and love the work that UEC does with the community!
Nature preservation consciousness. Educational for children. Animals in aquariums, nature walks, nature science studies. Family friendly. The workers there are friendly and kind.
Me and my daughter are members here and we love it . we go sledding in the winter, or kayaking in the summer. These are the benfits of urban Ecology center and so much more thank you!
Easily one of Milwaukees best hidden gems. This place has great community programs and activities for kids and adults alike, you can help fed the animals, plant trees, vieq exhibitions of local artists and rent outdoor equipment for free.Kayaking, skiing, snow shooing, cross country skiing, skating, bicycling, camping gear and a lot more you can use and learn to use with great classes that they offer.
When I started I just feel in love with this place now I am a young scientist and a volunteer and go there all the time
Urban Ecology Center is a beautiful place with lots of helpful volunteers. I highly recommend its annual membership for people who want to explore nature on their own. Especially for families with kids, there are a lot of programs and events happening throughout the year, and more frequently during summer months. We could have our first camping trip - thanks to all the gears (camping, fishing, kayaking) courtesy the memomonee valley center of urban ecology center. We will have our second trip really soon.
It is an amazing place to go and learn more nature like birds, plants and other things in the area and some history as well.
This is an awesome place to enjoy nature in the city. They also do so much for the neighborhoods around their 3 centers
Best deal in Milwaukee. If you live here, join! If your from out of town, join! Just taking a bike out for a few days will cover the cost of membership and you are supporting a great organization.
This place is a natural part of the Silver City neighborhood and Menomonee River Valley. Thank you for positively contributing to the quality of life here!
Great place. Good bikes. Nice trail and garden areas. Every community needs these.
This is such a fun and friendly place to relax, maybe have a business meeting, field trip, or to just hangout with friends!
Awesome team they have and the people are polite.
Every time I go there I feel like its my home away from home.
