Went and saw Slash ft. Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, with opening act Joyous Wolf last night. Best show Ive ever been to. In terms of the theater, it was beautiful, fun, and a very cool place to be. The staff were all friendly and were very attentive to what was going on around them. They answered any questions I had. The bathrooms were very clean. The drinks were cold. There seems to be just a little more history around every corner. Definitely worth going to this theater!
I just wanted to say that I have been a HUGE fan of the Pabst but recently with all the stuff going on was treated rather poorly by the representative that returned my call. She was rude, very cold and didnt really care about what was actually going on and shouldnt be answering the phones. A simple question about a gift card I received and COULDNT use for obvious reasons was not handled with insensitivity and with a cold cold heart and I dont know if I will go back.....what a shame that people like this are allowed to handle the phones and deal with folks in my position for such a great great venue.....I WONT be back.
Had a great time and enjoyed the show in this historic theater. I recommend seeing a show here if you have an opportunity. The venue itself is an attraction. In the area of the theater there are a number of great restaurants, and we parked in the Milwaukee Center. I also recommend a stop in the lobby of the Saint Kate - a truly unique hotel!
The Pabst is just a gorgeous venue for any event. We saw a performance of A Christmas Carol. It was excellent, so well done by each and every performer. Put us in the Christmas spirit!
The Pabst Theater is easily accessible downtown near restaurants and other entertainment. A cozy and beautiful entertainment venue. The large bar in the front Lounge is well stocked with Beer & Liquor and other beverages. Plenty of staff with great service. Most seats, including the balcony allows you to feel close to the Entertainers. If you are buying tickets for any shows be sure to stay to the middle and even in the balconies rather than to the sides for a better view. the only reason I could not give a 5-star rating was because I had fourth row seats on the far right side which ended up to be an obstructed view and not being told that when I bought the $150 ticket.
Great old venue awesome place to see a show I dont think theres a bad seat in the house. The front row the balcony of this theater is nice and close. Dont be afraid of the balcony it might be better than equal distance back on the floor the first front rows for sure.
Great place to see a show. It feels very personal here with the shows.
I finally went here to see Michael Schenker Fest. This theater is a piece of History. Very ornate and not a bad seat in the house. Its in the historic part of downtown Milwaukee right next to the Milwaukee River on Water Street.I managed to get some photos so I hope you enjoy them as a picture paints thousand words. If you have tickets to a show get to town a little early and go over to the safe house for dinner. There is also a very nice Brazilian Steakhouse around the corner.
We attended a comedy show here last night. The venue is beautiful but they ran late getting us in. They were still cleaning from the show before and at that point we were 20 minutes past seating time. Not an issue for us though, were not too picky! Staff was very helpful and friendly! Hope to come back soon
The Pabst Theater is a jewel of a performance spot, with good sight lines and acoustics. It has been kept up in beautiful shape and the entrances and box office are easy to find. Because it is an older, elegant building, know that the stairs to upper seats can be steep and harder to navigate. Parking is $15.
Went to see A Christmas Carol here. Really enjoyed it. The stage management was nothing short of amazing and the actors were extremely talented. Also, the architecture of the historical Pabst Theatre was a sight to behold. I loved the experience here and would definitely do it again.
This theater is a very beautiful place. It has been 30 years or more since weve been back here to see A Christmas Carol. The production was fantastic. Actors were superb and special effects were very nice even the look of falling snow in the audience. I am hoping to come more often to see A Christmas Carol and I highly recommend it to anyone who is considering at this theater is quite an experience.
This theater is a great gem of Milwaukee. If you have never experienced it I highly recommend taking in a show there. It is a beautiful place that has wonderful acoustics. There is so much history here.
Have been to several concerts at this gorgeous and intimate theater. Acoustics are excellent for music concerts, and the theater is small enough that you feel a connection to the performers. The higher levels can feel extremely vertiginous, especially when walking along the front row of the second balcony. I often wonder whether throughout the theaters long history, anyone has ever plummeted to a nasty end.I am deducting one star because the seats are very cramped and uncomfortable, especially for those who are tall. I think the forebears of the people who design economy class airline seats consulted on the seating at The Pabst!!All joking aside, this is a great place to see a concert or a play. Intimate atmosphere, great views and acoustics make up for the bad seats. They can be endured for an hour or two!!
I went to the Prince Experience show here. The staff was great and well organized. The show was amazing.
I saw an Andrew McMahon concert here on a Tuesday night, after just seeing the same show in Chicago the past Saturday, and this one was SO MUCH BETTER. These photos are from the 3rd-ish row of seats, which are all on an angle, so youre basically guaranteed to have an amazing view.Theres a few rows of standing room in front of the seats, but they count how many people they let up there, and mark your wristbands, so it doesnt get over crowded. It was crazy cold outside, so I was worried about getting there early, but theres a giant lobby where everyone was allowed to wait and line up.I highly recommend doing the $5 parking add on, if its an option when you buy your tickets - the garage is a couple of blocks away, but most other parking in the area seemed to be much more expensive than that. The hardest part was waiting to get out of the garage (took a solid 20 minutes), but at that point, we had all just seen such a great show, that no one seemed to care!
The venue was beautiful, my first time in the Pabst theatre was for the Dave Chappelle show and the line to enter the event was down the block and around the corner at 9:45 and the show was supposed to start at 10. Most shows that I have attended at other venues open doors an hour before the event. I probably wouldve rated it 5 stars had it not been for the ridiculously long wait time just to get inside the theatre and then try and figure out where you needed to go once you got inside.
Was an amazing amazing place from the outside you wouldnt expect it then you walk in and its so elegant and just leaves you in awe. I went and saw ATWWD and it was amazing I had so much fun and the venue made it that much better.
Historic monument. Love the acoustics and sound. Feel of histroy as you walk through the halls
Stunning old theater thats preserved and maintained like the architectural gem it is. Great place to see a show. The list of performers they host throughout the year has something for just about every musical taste. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
First time at The Pabst Theater. What a wonderful venue redone. We saw A Christmas Carol what a great production. The sets were fantastic and must see how they transition for one scene to another. All the actors did a great job. Very professional production and staff from the door greeters, ticket takers, bar staff, ushers was a wonderful date night. Must see show and venue
The Pabst theater is a great space for an intimate show. Even the seats in the balcony are nice and close to the stage. Take in a show or two or three.
Great historic theatre, with a beautifully decorated ceiling. Acoustics are very good, and there really isnt a bad seat in the entire place! I personally prefer this over the Riverside (which is also nearby) but they are both nice places to catch a show, or other performance.
Beautiful theater wonderful staff little river band was really good! Clean as can be no seat in the house had a bad view
Went to Ballet Russe by the Milwaukee Ballet. The three performances were absolutely phenomenal. The talent of our ballet is truly amazing. Was so enjoyable and to watch it in the beautiful Pabst Theater made it even more incredible. Great night out in Milwaukee.
Beautiful classic theater. Easy to access downtown. Restaurants in walking distance in good weather. Plenty of good hotels nearby for an overnight stay. Keeps a busy schedule of a wide variety of events. Great acoustics.
Love this place. My first time there and say in the 3rd balcony. The seats up there are just as good as the ones down below. It is a beautiful small theater. The interior brings you back to the time it was built. And the feel is like its being played just for you. Cant wait to go back!!!
Beautiful theater, great sound. The staff was friendly and helpful. We used ticket will call, no hassles and got thru security quickly. I dont think there is bad seat in the house. We were in balcony 1st section and had a great view. Although the seats are small and outdated. If the seats right next to us were occupied we would of been uncomfortable. Overall great experience, will consider for future shows.
First time at the ole Pabst Theater!! Here to see a fabulous show..
My husband & I come every year for A Christmas Carol its a wonderful show. Actors are all very talented and is fun, they bring in the audience to participate at times. Parking is very convenient in the underground lot.
Its a beautiful building inside and out. The staff was very nice and very helpful. The sound system was really great. But it was very very warm inside. The seats are very close together so if youre there to see a comedian you feel like youre laughing directly into the ears of the people in front of you. Altogether it was a great experience and I wouldnt hesitate to go to another event at this location.
Great venue. Daughters graduation. Truly a gem of a theater. Perfect for this occasion.
The Pabst Theater is an absolutely stunning venue for all manner of staged events. The theater seats about 1,300, giving it a fairly intimate feel. It boasts wonderful acoustics, great views of the stage from every seat, and Old World charm and style. The Pabst Theater does not disappoint!
Beautiful theater.Nice bars and selection.Near by parking! And pretty cool staff.Highly recommend going to a show here.
I saw Marc Martels UQC and had a blast! Second row felt like I was on the stage! Beautiful venue. Parking right next to the building as well. Highly recommended!
Amazing experience had an great time at this historic Milwaukee theater
Been here for many amazing shows. Love the aesthetic! This is a beautiful theater that provides many opportunities for more intimate shows!
This theatre is the most beautiful, historically significant site in Milwaukee. They always have top-notch entertainment. Go there not only to see the events, but take a tour to hear the rich history of the theatre as well. You wont be disappointed ! Just another great reason to visit our wonderful city.
Love the acoustics in this theater. I saw Squeeze there last night. Staff is great and a nice bar to boot
Awesome historic theatre. Smaller and more intimate seating. The sound for the concert I was at was great!
Love the ambience. Not enough bathrooms on all floors. Elevator doesnt go up to all floors so walking up/down many stairs can be an issue. Too easy to trip over side step getting into seat row
I really enjoy attending performances here. The venue is beautiful and its such an intimate space where you can feel like its just you and the performer. Ive seen the MSO perform here along with a variety of concerts. Drinks arent terribly priced espwcially when compared with the Fiserv and the seating and atmosphere for me are far better as well. Its very comfortable with dynamic accoustics and worth the experience. Plus when you buy tickets you can do a $5 add on for a parking structure nearby which makes it a pretty decent add on!
Great time a Christmas carol. No humbug here!
Small and historic venue. Nice and intimate but acousticd less than desirable.
Great theater, a bit on the tight side as far as seating but still good place to catch a show. The acoustics were solid and the stage was plenty big to see the action.
Always enjoy this venue for concerts and plays! Beautiful building with so much Milwaukee history.
Very classy venue. Great place for shows and entertainment. Easy to find parking nearby.
Wonderful venue, lots of character and life in the building. Acoustics were great as well, had no issues with sitting in the third balcony.
The Theater is fantastic, beautiful and I had a great time. The only criticism is the house sound was not good. It appeared they had adequate equipment but the audio engineer was off.
This place is beautiful. I went there to see Melissa Etheridge and everything about it is beautiful. I would love to find a cute small section in there and get married.
Beautiful old theater, with tons of history and charm. Its a great place to see an show because of the intimate size and victoria style architecture. My only complaint is its very cramped so once seated i felt like a sardine lol other than that i highly recommend seeing a show here or checking it out during Doors Open Milwaukee which takes place in late September.
Attended the play Only God Can Judge Me by local Play Write Mr. C L WOODSON III at this theater. We had tickets for a 2nd row seats and 2 of our guests seating was totally obstructed by speakers. They should know the set up before selling tickets to assure everyone can visibly see the stage. But the play itself surely made up for it!
The Gufs are still the best band to come out of Milwaukee. What a blast! Great way to spend New Years Eve. So fun seeing the band members kids there watching their Dads perform. You could see how proud they were of their Dads. We were a little hesitant about a show like this at the Pabst Theater, but our concerns were unfounded. Got to stand right in front of the stage. Even did a fist bump with the guys in the band! Dont miss next time they are in town!.
Such a beautiful and wonderful place to see a musician play at. Any breaks between acts, I just stare at the wonderful designs and architecture of the theatre.
Omg Clasic place I just love Milwaukee.. cant wait for another opportunity too go to the threat. Every seat is a good seat.
A stellar performance by Lyle Lovett, with great accoustics, but the seats are too low to the ground and uncomfortable...plus, the glow of cell phones from idiots taping the show, and people constantly getting up with the small spaces in the seat aisles, made the show very distracted...next time Ill forego main floor seating and get balcony close to the edge. .
Historic, beautiful theater. Comfortable seating, even in the nose bleeds lol
Came here to see Last Comic Standing. attached parking garage is easy and not too expensive. The venue has a good view of the stage from all seats in the house. There is a lack of bathrooms so the wait can be very long before the show or during intermission. They is one located at the basement that no one seems to know about.
This is an extremely beautiful theater. The sound is amazing. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable about the theater and the area.
Went to Christmas carol, this was my 4th use going and I love it every year. Only complaint I have is how small the seats are. Im A bigger girl and couldve used just a little more room
The seats are not the largest, but it is a beautiful theater!
Very unique, historic experience. We were up on the third floor and having to go all the way to the lower level for the restrooms was a pain. Outside of that, we enjoyed it.
Wonderful old theater. Every seat is a great seat. We saw Scrooge. What an awesome play!
Really nice theater, although it can take a long time to get through security at the doors - come early!
Another great show in this beautiful theater.Tesla rocked the place!!
Saw some phenomenal productions here as a child.
Beautiful venue. Great performers. Surprisingly, they have had unreliable spotlighters during two shows I attended that the performers called them out on
Amazing theater and absolutely beautiful building. Thanks so much to the people who run things for having such a cool event like An Evening with Bruce Campbell this weekend. We will definitely be back.
Its an icon of a bygone era. These palaces of the arts are rare and beautiful. The acoustics are fantastic. The seats are a tad confined. The bartenders are generally quite quick and the long lines at intermission can move a lot faster than you expect. The drink prices are reasonable. The Pabst organization gets some really great shows and should be commended for their hospitality and focus on the arts.
I wonder if a bad band could sound good at the Pabst, because good bands sound great there. The auditorium is so classic from the velvety seats to the multiple balconies. It looks beautiful and the acoustics are fantastic. Add a full bar with a wide beer selection and its really a special place in my heart.
Beautiful theater but the seats are extremely small and close together. There is no indication that will call tickets are at the box office which is actually down the block. It was also pretty warm in there. When youre sitting shoulder to shoulder with strangers you dont want to be sweaty and sticking together for a two hour show. Even if they took one chair out of each row to space them better it would be a vast improvement.
I love the Pabst! Ive had such a great time every show weve been to.
Went to see the xmas carol. Great play and cast. My daughter was in it in the 80s so brought back memories, lots of changes tho. The only bad thing .. the ushers should assist elderly to their seat and most importantly tell people that there is a step to get in the row they are sitting in. I tripped and I saw another lady fall on her butt
Beautiful, but poor bathroom placement, and I ended up in probably the worst seat in the house up on the top behind some big box thing. Would have been fine if I werent 52 ...
Gorgeous theater, great venue for an intimate style of music or any other performance suitable for the space!
Beautiful place. Lots of comfortable seating.
Beautiful theater with a lot of seating area. Great concert/show venu. If you get stuck all the way at the top, there is a bar and bathroom on your level.
It is an interesting setup for live plays
Wonderful night at the Pabst Theater. Saw Ken-David Masur conduct the Milwaukee Symphony orchestra. Amazing performance. Parking could be better. Lots of construction in the area.
Beautiful. The acoustics are so good, that there band (Mandolin Orange) did their encore without mics?
This is a beautiful venue! The interior is guilded and intricate with a beautiful chandelier. It makes me think about what theater going was like a century ago. I went to see the OK GO video show there (it was one of the best concerts Ive ever seen!!). The theater has great acoustics and makes a concert super enjoyable. Some of the sight lines are a little challenging if youre all the way at the end of the row, but the beauty of the theater almost makes up for that.
Beautiful historic building. Staff always nice and helpful. Have been to many shows here.
Beautifully preserved gilded age theater, fantastic atmosphere and acoustics. An indoor courtyard connects the theater to Saint Kates art hotel, another must-see, and several theaters, including the Stackner. One of the jewels of Milwaukee, shows here rarely disappoint.
The historic aspect of The Pabst is both a plus and a minus. The plus is definitely its age, beauty and craftmanship. The minus is that, because of its age, the ease of use is just not there. No bathrooms on the first balcony and death-defying stairs with no railings. We understand that to make any changes would be a major undertaking for compliance purposes so we will live with its shortcomings.
I had a bad experience due to me having an Adidas bag on my back the day of a concert. This lady wldnt let me in. The bag was my actual PURSE. The person checking me told me to ask the police or security person outside. He told me 2 take my purse down the street to some STANGERS to hold til it was over!!! This is my PURSE mind you.. with my wallet, ID, meds.(pump) In it. I figured that if I put it on my back, I wldnt have to keep up with it through the crowd. I got dropped off that day, so I had 2 call them BACK to come get my Adidas bag, which means I didnt have my wallet, ID, nor meds. The security lady was so nasty towards me and the security. They looked in to see what I had even. I was clean. The other thing that put a bad taste in my mouth was, I SAW SEVERAL PEOPLE INSIDE WITH BIG BAGS!!!!! So I will NEVER attend any events AGAIN thats scheduled there.
What a charming theater here in downtown Milwaukee. Weve enjoyed a number of performances in this space and have been able to sit in different places and levels. Not sure theres a bad seat in the house - its all good.
Pretty good seating and didnt take long at all to get into the place. Got to see Bert Kreisher and it was definitely something to remember forever and hilarious as f*
Really awesome historical little theater. Great place to see a concert!!!
Beautiful theater with great acoustics and lighting. We saw the Post Modern Jukebox there and it was an amazing venue for a unique show such as theirs.
Saw Gabriel Kahane and The Punch Brothers here and it was absolutely great! The theatre is beautiful, and the staff are skilled and efficient at their jobs and running a smooth show.
Great show Christmas Carol
Its nice here. They could use a better selection of wine/drinks tho!! #Keyshiacole Row A seats
Cool building: BUT VERY Hard to hear actors when seated on 2nd floor. Snacks and drinks extremely expensive for size. Extremely. Their Boxed water tastes absolutely TERRIBLE. Not kidding.Great actors
Beautiful old theater thats been preserved. Always enjoy it as a venue, and have seen acts such as the four tops, Dita von Teese, and Post Modern Jukebox there. Rows can be a little cramped with smaller seats but it is worth it.
Saw A Christmas Carol and it was very entertaining and well performed. The set was really amazing too with three nested circles creating a rotating set on the stage. Ive not see anything like that before so I was impressed. We had pretty good seats but it looked like everywhere in the house had a pretty good view though; I didnt notice any significant obstructions for the cheap seats.
Great place to go to a concert.
