Small but, with exquisite details. Where else can you see a full block of F.L.W. designed homes?
My mom and I were on a weekend girls trip from Minneapolis and this was a must see for us. The tour guide was so friendly, knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the organizations efforts to restore these homes to their original glory. They have a ways to go but with the help of fundraising & the tours, they will get there. So cool to see the homes in person and get to go into a few of them. One major suggestions to help raise more funds is to have water available for those there for the tour. We were there on Saturday July 13th and it was incredibly hot & we forgot out waters at the hotel so we were very thirsty and would have gladly paid a good amount for bottled water. you could put it in a cooler outside of the done home on the deck. Easy $ to help the cause! Otherwise, fantastic tour & cant wait to visit again once the other homes are restored if they open those to the public as well in the future!
I live right down the block from these historic houses so I see them every day. They do give tours of the houses about once a month but I think you might need a reservation not to sure about that. I have been inside one of the houses about 40yrs ago and it is really nice
Great small house museum shows off Frank Lloyd Wrights ideas about how the average American should live. These were the homes that he designed with the idea of making it possible for everyone to be able to live in an architecturally designed home and the ideas he incorporated were far ahead of their time. It is a very small house. 800 square feet i believe, but well worth seeing.
Beautiful buildings. Great presentation. The care taker who lives on the block is knowledgeable and friendly!
We didn’t have the time to go inside (so I can’t give my experience a full 5 stars), but they were really cool to see from the outside!
Very disappointing tour and houses. Only one was restored to original beauty. Others are in shambles. Can only go into 2 of the houses.
Beautifully preserved private home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and available for rent. This is not a rich mans house but part of a failed effort to offer housing for regular folks. Many interesting architectural features
Always nice to visit a Frank house. The staff was very knowledgeable.
Awesome tour of home would like to have seen more
Its an ok place with some interesting history, but not something you need to see twice and certainly something I am glad I didnt pay to see.
A great place to visit if you love architecture
I would catch the bus on 27th + Burnham and always looked at Wrights house without knowing whos originally it was.
Enjoyed walking through these beautiful historic homes
Very interesting tour. A must for architecture geeks.
The houses are privately owned. We walked out side.
Love his homes!
Docent was very knowledgeable and kind.
Its pretty disappointing. Couldnt gain access. Properties are in need of maintenance. One duplex had been covered in vinyl siding!
Beautiful area to live
