What a great spot for a musical/show. We were out hiking and ran across a rehearsal for Grease. What a nice treat. Would love to attend a full show here.

Nice views, good theater. I wish the sitting was more organized though. More shade would be nice. Another nice thing, the shuttle was free and parking situation was fairly organized.

Bring your cushions or rent them. Sitting on stones is hard on your _____. Bring hat, sunscreen, and water. Be ready for pottys. Sound system was great. Saw mama mia and it was great. Bring your blanket in case the sun goes down and it gets nippy. Picnic basket is a great idea but you have to lug everything up. Parking was online only. Buses were arranged down near mt tam high school. This is a family affair. Organization is fantastic.

We saw Mama Mia here on its last performance, and absolutely loved it. I hope to go again when Im in Mill Valley. Shows run from Mothers Day to Fathers Day.

Saw Mama Mia here! It was excellent, and the band played 3 extra ABBA songs for all 2,000 of us to dance to after bows! Have to hike in at least a bit... I wore ABBA clothes, so my hike was challenging. Didnt want to wear jeans but it would have been easier!

Came here on a Sunday afternoon and absolutely loved the place. The views around the place are absolutely breathtaking.

A simple rock and concrete open-air amphitheatre. Its on the sheltered side of the hill top, mostly protected from chill breezes and direct sun. Theres a great view of Marin and the Bay bridge, a decent restrooms facility, and a play area for kids. And after sunset the stars. The theater is a 5 minute walk from the parking lot. Bring a snack, bottled water, and dress in layers as the temp will vary widely as the sun and wind cycle through the day. Bring a folding camp chair or a cushion if you trouble sitting on a rock ledge. Even with the wind, the accustics are acceptable.

Take the easy trail not the boot jack trail if you dont want a stressful hike. The view from the top is beautiful.

I was there for Sound Summit with Bob Weir and Phil Lesh. It was amazing!!

A wondrous backdrop to put on a musical. It can be a little harsh in the summer sun, but in the past several years, the production company has constructed temporary shade canopies around the seating area. You can hike to the theater and back if you dont choose to take the shuttle bus. There is almost zero parking if you dont get there very early.

This place is amazing! Absolutely consider attending the theater productions here in the summer. Mountains, ocean, and theatrical scenery in one glorious backdrop.
