Really enjoyed the visit. It was great to see the aircraft still in use and to hear the stories behind them.
Wow! What a well put together museum with so much information! Its open only on Saturdays, but I called because we were going to only be in town in the middle of the week, and I just thought my husband would really like to see it. Amazingly, the lady in charge opened the place up for us. It was so worth it. If you get a chance to visit, please do. There is so much history in that building, and all the old planes are in working condition and used for air shows and reenactments. My husband is a major history buff, so it was a special treat for him. My girls and I learned a lot just by looking at the different exhibits. Theres a whole section on HW Bushs rescue from the Pacific. They have all this information and equipment related to aerial photography during the war. You can also touch different types of plane engines. Theres a lot to see. Julie, thanks for making this visit possible for us. We are grateful and impressed by the work yall are doing there.
Its like stepping into a time machine to look at a piece of history. Glad some of it is still here......
Nice place, lots of history. Would have given it 5 stars but some Wilfred Brimley looking fella kept trying to do wheelies on a small motorcycle. Had he actually done it, 5 Stars all the way.
The staff is amazing. My 4 year old had a fantastic time seeing all the planes. Cant say enough good things about the people here.
Very educational. You can walk around close to all the different planes, they just ask that you dont touch them. The videos and history they had was awesome! We will be going again once it gets warmer to see the garden and enjoy the outside while reading the awards and biographies displayed.
Wonderful place to go to. Staff was very friendly, we let the grandchildren, all girls age 10, 9, & 5 go on a flight in the beach craft air force plane. They loved it! Would recommend taking a flight while you are there, every staff member was eager to make your museum trip memorable and enjoyable.
Interesting airplanes and stuff. You will get to learn about some great looking planes and cool history facts
Theres a great selection of aircraft to look at and I enjoyed the interesting information in all the displays
Amazing !!You will need most of the day if not multiple days to see, read and enjoy the entirety of the Museum.
Went to air show, husband drags me every year. Always hot and its a blast. Good food. Cold beer. History is important. Kids love it.
Very educational... Grandkids loved it and I learned alot about women flying during World war 2.. And fell in love with the plains of course.
My grandsons love this place. Plenty of hands on exhibits in museum too!!
Really cool history planes.. nice staff.. good place to bring the kids
Amazing experience, the tour guides are so helpful and full of stories. If you have a couple of hours to spare go check out and learn about U.S. history as well as World war planes
Anyone in the Midland area needs to visit this place, it will not disappoint. Unbelievable to find history and culture at our disposal in this area. Do not miss it.
Has a excellent selection of some nice aircraft. A lot of the aircraft are still flying or are operational. Nice exhibits, very friendly volunteers.
Amazing. Love it. I had a good time with my kids..
It was AMAZING to see all the airplanes so close and to read the history of our nation wars was breath taking... to all the uniform men and women of our nation Thank you...
Great to see so many veterans and military that have passion for those who gave or gave all.
If you love this country and respect the men and women who sacrificed for it please enjoy this museum.
Highly recommend this place. Our guide was very knowledgeable and nice. So much military air history and awesome displays. Plus its free (Donations recommended)
Took the scenic Christmas lighting toyr from the air. It was so much fun. Will do next year also.
This place was really top notch, greeted at the door by two really nice guys wanting to know where we had come from and if we would like a guided tour. We opted to go on unguided due to our little one being impatient, we’re handed brochures and info about the air show and were told thank you for coming in today and enjoy. Phenomenal fellow. We walked through what looks like a working museum, absolutely amazing displays of historical hardware and the story to match. This place allows you to walk up to working projects that keep planes in the air and get a feel for how meticulous the building and repairing process is. It appears this place is funded by the people who visit so we donated some cash however were never asked nor made to feel obligated to do so (you will personally feel the desire to donate once you meet the people and see the exhibits) I would go back there and I recommend this place highly.
