I have been to a number of concerts and plays there and they do a great job. In addition, it is a beautiful venue. They have two theaters - the large one for concerts and the smaller one for plays. Their Saints and Sinners lounge has a nice ambiance and is enjoyable.
My 2 year old son would never leave this place if given the chance. He has so much fun exploring and it is such a good learning experience for him. If everyone remembers to use good hand hygiene before and after entering the facility and only go out when them and their children are healthy, then it is a great place for children of all ages to learn and easy to navigate! Prices are reasonable and totally worth it.
First time attending a show here, and will most definitely be back! The show we went to was sold out, but even so there was enough parking spaces to accommodate everyone. Thankfull for the drop-off lane as there werent any handicap spots left for my elderly grandma when we arrived. She was able to get out without rushing, and we didnt hold up traffic either. Inside was very clean, well-lit, and decorated for the holidays. Staff were all friendly, cheerful, and helpful. Several entrances into/out of the auditorium made traffic flow smoothly. Seats were large, comfortable, and had ample leg room. The show was phenomenal as was the lighting and sound. Cant give this place enough praise!
I took my children here for the dinosaur exhibit. The cost of admission was $10 for an adult ticket and $7 per child. It was well worth the price. The dinosaur exhibit was fantastic and there were crafts and hands on activities for the kids. Not only were we able to see that exhibit, but we had access to the rest of the museum as well. The artwork at present was fabulous. The staff was extremely friendly. We will definitely come back.
This destination always leaves young and old visitors with something good to take home, whether memories of theater, sounds of orchestra and song, visibly with artwork, and mentally and physically through interactive museum displays including a large salt water aquarium. And dont miss the MCFTA store with unique gifts trailered toward young, inquisitive minds. Weve been attending events here since the opening!! A true gem for the Saginaw, Midland, Bay areas.
The Center has been a part of my life for over 40 years. Its awesome now, just as it was for me as a kid. First piano concert for this organization, but I know some of the teachers, the show was great, all the kids, even the munchkins were great. Thumbs up to all!!!
Had such a wonderful time. Took my daughter, 19 and her friend to see Momma Mia for her bday. AWESOME PERFORMANCE. Couldnt have asked for a better time. The backdrop for picture taking in the lobby was a great touch. I enjoyed a drink in the lounge while they checked out the adjacent garden art. Our seats were perfect. Just wish there was signage to direct you better. Loved being able to chat with the performers afterwards. Truly made for a memorable time.
I always love the center and miss working there at times. It was nice to walk through and feel like home again. Shout out to all the co-workers putting in work and keeping the building alive.!
Offer a wide variety of entertainment for a wide variety of interests. No bad seats in the house although only aisles at either sides of theater. The Broadway touring shows and musical acts have all been great.
Overall, nice facility. Just saw the Blue Man Group today. Came here a while ago to see Rock of Ages. For a smaller town, there are some pretty interesting performances thar they get here, they were able to get Brain Candy Live, which was really fun.
Was fantastic. Went to see the Blue Man group. Seating was great. A very great place to go. The staff was awesome and very helpful...
Great theater. Sound is good. The stage is a little small. I was in the front row and I felt like the actors would end up in my lap lol
Great family fun.
MCFTA is one of the most creative places (in my opinion) that you & your kids can enjoy in Midland. My kids enjoy going & I enjoy taking them because they can touch & learn so much at the Alden B. Dow Museum of Science and Arts (one of their favorites). For example, there is The Hall of Ideas where kids can actually play a variety of musical instruments, very cool interactive artwall that you can email your kids drawings to yourself, see themselves on a screen while sitting at a news desk & stand in front of a green screen like a weatherman & see themselves on the monitor, even learn a little about Midland geography & history, AND SO MUCH MORE!!! Theres the Spark¡Lab where kids create cool stuff at different stations. I couldnt list everything on here if I tried! Its literally layers of fun! There is so much to see, learn, & do there!Last year The Art of the Brick (Lego) Exhibit by Nathan Sawaya was there. I was blown away by the artwork of all his creations & my kids, who are Lego Lovers (Master Lego Builders lol), were in awe! Check out my pics to see a little of what was there....Today, we visited the Space Exhibit. It is only on display for a few more weeks. Whats nice is you can purchase annual passes and family passes which work at other exhibits nation wide. Theres also a nice gift shop (also in my pics) that has unique things and kids stuff. THIS IS A MUST SEE IN MIDLAND!
Fantastic place! Have seen several performances and have loved every one of them. The staff/volunteers are amazing and the location is great.
National talent. Very nice venue. Well staffed. Always a joy to visit.
We saw Carousel. It was an awesome performance. The acting, the singing, the orchestra were amazing.
This is an outstanding venue with great entertainment. Definitely first class. Last nights Holiday Pops were very well planned and executed. The venue is tops.
Midland Center for the Arts, this is a gem in a small town. Two theaters, both with excellent seating and stage. In addition to theater and music, there is a museum inside as well that receives various travelling displays during the year. If in MIdland area, attend a performance or see the museum djour.
Very clean and well organized. The service was excellent and the staff was really nice. Id go see any theater play here.
We watched The Blue Man Group and although I had better expectations for the show the venue is fantastic with great friendly staff.
Went with my neice here the other day, we had fun. Nice that its hands on, wish there was a little bit more historical exhibits though. Overall, cheaper entertainment compared to some.
Very cool place to visit and bring the kids! I was fascinated myself in all the hands on educational items throughout the exhibits. I came with my daughter on a field trip and we ended up staying an extra 2 hours after the rest of her class departed. Theres plenty to do for kids of most ages from music, geography, history, engineering, health and much more. I watched my daughters imagination run wild and ended up being just as excited as she was, well worth the price of admission! I plan on returning with the rest of the family, a perfect place to spend time indoors during winter.
Great variety of items, beautiful flowers, and friendly and knowledgeable associates! I love this store!
Love this place. Ive been here many times and look for shows regularly. Will always come back!!
Awesome...just awesome! Great place to visit. Highly recommend for fun with the family.
Great way to experience science and the arts. We spent 2 hours there and could have stayed another 2 hours to fully immerse ourselves in the excitement.
Good venue no seat is badYou dont pay for parking too rated shows
Amazing place to take the kids to especially even the younger ones. I have a 4 and a 2 year old it was awesome
Super kid friendly. My boys loved all the hands on exhibits.
Absolutely a beautiful venue. Very large facility with comfortable seating.
We dont come to Mcfa much any more because I have no small children. It was a rainy day so we decided to make the drive and check it out. My daughter loves oriental culture so we were pretty surprised that that was being featured. We had a very nice visit and there were lots of young families there learning...
One of my favorite place to take young adventurers, lots of hand on and knowledgeable things to learn, highly recommend
I didnt go to the museum. They had a musical going on, very good production. The place was very clean. Cant wait for them to do another play
The staff were warm and welcoming! Very helpful with finding seats and great experience with kids!
It is a fun place for my son who is 5, but I was disappointed in how much there was to the exhibit. Some of the things on the middle floor were not in the best of shape. The interactive exhibits are fun for kids and he really enjoyed his time. We went for an hour and thats all he needed, the price for 3 people seemed a little steep for what you get.
This is a beautiful venue. The auditorium is spacious for a large audience, with a good sound system for performers. Free parking out front is also bountiful. The art museum provides sales display space for interesting artists and changes the theme frequently. An associated museum is also interesting.
Awesome place to see Broadway traveling shows or concerts. The seats are high enough behind the rows in front that there is no problem seeing the stage from anywhere in the theater. I have sat all over the place here and not a bad seat in the house.
Amazing performance by the MSO! Was a wonderful night, and we look forward to returning soon.
Lots of options, the museum, performances, and limited- time presentation s, demonstrations and classes. Very welcoming and designed to include children. One of our favorite places in central MI.
We did a fear factor goose bump night and it was alot of fun! Cant wait for the murder mystery one.
Kids (6, 3 and
Went to Bill Engvall comedy show.... He was great. I wish the auditorium had fans though, it got rather stuffy during the show.
A wonderful place. And the best employees _ volunteers I have been around in years. Everything about this trip was perfect ! Not a bad seat in the auditorium. Great design.
Classic Theater for the ages. Its the same interior from when I was a kid going there back in the 70s
I enjoyed it. Its more like a kids science museum, but I still enjoyed it.
Great show. Katie Travis was wonderful.
Went to see Brain Candy Live. It was an amazing show. The theater has great acoustics. Everyone was super nice and the staff was great. We never had to open a door.
So much to do and the kids have a fun time learning as well interaction with many things !
My husband and I attended a play here. Parking was very good, close and convenient. Lovely facility.
Went to see Blue Man group. It was great.
Nice little theater! Always something going on and definitely a little something for everyone.
Took my family here to see The Piano Guys. The show was great, Midland Center for the Arts were fantastic hosts.
I saw the matinee of Cirque Dreams Holidaze on Sat, Nov 23. The show was fabulous. A must see.
I love Midland Center for the Arts. Youd think Mid-MI wouldnt get any decent anything because its considered hickville by people from Metro Detroit (I know, I live down here now) but some of the best shows for the best prices are here! Beautiful, Mamma Mia!, Rock of Ages, the MSO, the Midland Concert Band, movies, and weve not even talked about the museum. Great place for a show or to look at awesome art. $8-$15 gets you into the museum depending on what they have displayed, and the Hall of Ideas is included in the price. Great for kids!
I went with my ten year old daughter and her friend. We toured all of the museum and went to the maze exhibit. The exhibits were well spaced and the right age for the girls. We spent a couple of hours there. The girls loved the modern hands on exhibits. I am glad there wasnt loud music. Even with all the hands on stuff it never became overwhelming. It was a fun day of learning.
Cool exhibits, but a lot of them were out of service.
They have many great programs but dont share many of them
It was just like I remembered it when I was a kid full of knowledge and fun!
Wonderful place! The shows they put on are some of the best ones!!
I cant say enough about this wonderful theatre. Wonderful performances and not a bad seat in the house!! A real gem!!
Fantastic addition to Midland. Love going and watching the different shows they bring in.
Lots of fun, a little overwhelming! Loved the dinosaurs
Great shows, great performances. Blessed to have this in our town.
I love this place!! It is so much fun for kids and adults too!! You learn a lot and they have so many hands on activities!! Highly recommend going here!! And its reasonably priced at $10 for adults, $7 for kids. 3 and under are free!
Piano guys. Great facility. Great show.
Went on a field trip with my sons fifth grade class. The did a great job exposing the kids to many different mediums.
A nice museum and theaters- 2 places to attend events
Saw Blue Man, what an awesome venue, perfect acoustics
This place is great for kids. Lots of interactive stations for them to play with. Great time with the family.
Fantastic place for learning and fun with kids. It’s nice to see updates happening around the museum. Was bummed that the wheelchair elevators weren’t allowed to be used for our stroller, had to traverse a lot of steps
Very kid friendly! Hands on fun
Seen Bill Engvall wonderful venue!
Additions to the lobby and interior make it more inviting. Really like it.
The Midland center for arts is one of Michigans best childrens museum. Our kids love the exhibit and they are always featuring some amazing special feature!!!
The Alden B. Dow Museum is a must-see in Midland. There are a lot of hands on activities for kids and a wonderful educational room. The special exhibits are usually great, as well. Its a great balance of art and science, and its fun for the whole family. One of my favorite places in Midland.
Went to hear Carmine Burana with the Midland Symphony Orchestra. Amazing. Great performance. Marvelous orchestra. Wonderful location.
The science exhibit is fun for all ages. I took my teenage daughter and she played with everything which is not typical. I did not see one person not interested in multiple areas. Great information and lots of fun.
My nephews loved the canopy walk and the team that built it did a wonderful job. Would recommend if you havent been there yet !
Nice venue to see and hear a concert.
Great venue to see Arron lewis
Large, clean and great seating just about wherever you sit.
Awesome show!
Excellent facility, friendly atmosphere, comfortable seating.
I love this place! Ive taken many clay classes here but the reason I was there a few weeks ago was a Christmas music performance. It was wonderful!
Great Shows!! Would highly recommend!
A great outing. Great for all ages and the variety is sure to provide something everyone in the family will enjoy. By the way... did we mention they have a gigantic Light Brite style fiberoptic board to play on? Nobody can possibly outgrow the fun of that.
A very enjoyable evening, went to The Sound of Music. The show was spectacular, also the staff at the Center was very courteous and helpful. As always this made for a wonderful evening.
My son loved the dinosaur exhibit
Great theater only there is no center isle.
Fun day of exploring and learning for the whole family!
This is where you go if you want to be amazed by the talents and history of Midland. There are so many shows and exhibits that take their turn throughout the seasons. Bring a loved one and share the experience.
