This place is definitely worth a stop. There are many interesting facts about the history of Dayton and surrounding areas. It is free to visit and it is located across from the historic Mound Park. It is not a huge museum but had a lot to discover inside. Bathrooms and parking are on site.

Extremely fascinating insight into Dayton’s secret history and innovation. Free admission, some interactive for this kids. Plan to spend 1-2 hours here. A great place to visit!

What a lovely museum - secret gem that everyone should know about

We toured the mound museum back in 2011 when it was only open one or two Saturdays a month from 0800-1200. We look forward to going back and seeing the changes.
