We were excited to visit this seaquarium, never went before. My son is 5 years old and he was boring. All playground are closed due to Covid-19 and Dolphin show as well. It needs maintenance and it is small. the whale show and the sea lions were good, but there are hardly any fish exhibitors. The penguins are cute but they dont have a show. Not worth what it costs even with the current discount at $29.99.

I took my family there on the first day it reopened since the pandemic, November 6th. The tickets are half the price to compensate for half of the attractions that are closed due to the Pandemic. The dolphin show has a baby dolphin less than 1 month old. The seals and sea lions have a full show and feeding. The killer whale Lolita is now the oldest Orca in human care (some people might call it captivity). I have no knowledge in marine biology so I cant say anything about what is best for her. I just hope they make her happy everyday

My boyfriend and I wanted to visit this place to learn a little about the marine life of the area, we understand that going to an aquarium is something fun and informative, where you can be near marine animals that are very difficult to meet in other circumstances. After reading some reviews, we realized that this aquarium basically operates as a circus where they have imprisoned that beautiful 50-year-old Orca. Seriously dont go to this place, this is really sad, dont be an accomplice in this heartless mistreatment of these poor animals. I only see reviews of parents who are excited about their children, do you really want to teach this type of cruelty to your kids?

Just don’t go. Really sad place, sad animals, sad enclosures. The only way to truely see these majestic, intelligent, family oriented, sentient beings is in the wild where you can admire how amazing they are. The enclosure for Lolita offers no protection from the sun and is not even legally big enough. They claim they can’t afford to give her a legally acceptable tank....a disgrace.

Its a well maintained, beautiful place with a lots of shows: dolphin, seal, orca, etc.,there are 2 of dolphins. All show are cool especially the seal one. A cool water playground for the kids but theres a wild park with crocodiles/alligators and giant turtles and a deer as well. A beautiful souvenir shop with a lots of toys for the kids, a ray pet and feeding in every hour and parrots are right above your head. To say that my toddler is happy at Miami Seaquarium would be an understatement. Since he decided that napping is no longer en vogue, Fairyland is the one jaunt that can override that. Miami Seaquarium’s parking lot is larger than Tokitae‘s (stage name Lolita) teeny tiny tank. Tokitae hasn’t seen another Orca of her kind since 1980 after Hugo died from an aneurysm after repeatedly ramming his head against the cement wall.Hurricane Irma?? Miami Seaquarium left Lolita to fend for herself in the tank. They could have relocated her to safety to protect her, but they didn’t. They will abandon her again during other hurricanes which are becoming more frequent and stronger. You see a huge, extremely intelligent being in this small rundown tank. You KNOW how wrong it is for her to be locked up like this. Lolita does not need to die in the tank.YOU CAN HELP HER. YOU can SAVE LOLITA. Support her release to the seaside rehabilitation sanctuary in her home state of WA. She will be monitored 24/7 by Marine Biologists and Veterinarians who will put her safety and well-being first! Lolita will feel the ocean currents again and her mother’s voice. The sanctuary is ready. Her mother, Ocean Sun, and family are very much alive and are waiting for her. September 24 will be 50 years. You can save her by not supporting her suffering. Please don’t buy a ticket to this park. Lolita deserves her freedom. Visit Lolita in her natural habitat.

Parking is terrible. There are only 10 or so spaces available. And 3 were taken up by facilities own vehicles. Center is great. I would recommend for older children only because there are not that many exhibits. On older child can spend more time at each exhibit reading the plaque and learning about each animal, especially since the animals are so up close. Whereas a younger child would look for 2 seconds and then move onto the next animal. If you do that you finish the whole place in about 15 min.

Do not visit this place. If you’re looking for a nice family outing, DONT spend your money here. It’s so sad. Their captive Orca Lolita, lives all by herself in a tiny tank. They have kept their Orca in solitary confinement for 50 years. Orca’s are not solitary by nature. In the wild, they are social animals that live in large family pods. Think about how frustrating than pandemic was when we were forced to stay confined at home. Now expand that to a 50-year pandemic, where you are stuck in a single room, you’re never allowed to see any of your family, and you are forced to perform tricks for your food. This is the life of the Orca you would be paying to see at Miami Seaquarium.Lolita is housed in the smallest, oldest orca tank in the U.S.—one that doesn’t even meet the federal Animal Welfare Act’s minimum size requirement. She has no shelter from the blistering Miami sun. The parking lot is larger than the Orca’s tiny tank. You see a huge, extremely intelligent animal in this small rundown tank. You KNOW how wrong it is for her to be locked up like this.Don’t buy a ticket to this horrible place.

It is even worth visiting. Especially with children. In addition to the dolphinarium and the oceanarium, there is a small but pleasant zoo - crocodiles, manatees, etc. A large area, there is where to walk. The aquarium itself is not the best in the world. The most interesting - dolphin show, killer whale show, swimming with dolphins. There is one more crazy attraction - diving and walking along the bottom of the oceanarium. On the head is a helmet with air supply through a thin hose from the surface. A group of no more than 5-6 people with an instructor is lowered. Stingrays, turtles, tuna, moray eels - and everyone can be touched, fed and photographed. Moray eel is almost tame, but terrible, infection. I was delighted. There is a separate ticket, very expensive - 100 bucks. But worth it! I strongly advise you to take tickets to the aquarium in advance on their website, because performances take place at a certain time and on the spot you can not get where you want. In addition, there are different route programs.

It was a little overpriced but all in all a great experience. I got to shake hands with dolphins, kiss them and literrlt swim wthem or should I say swim by them. The photos were very expensive so I suggest you if you have company choose different sessions so that you get your own photos and vids. There is a show starring a killer whale too, which is huge in size . The other things were a bit badly maintained. For example the discover cove and the alley with the Penguins was kind of dirty whcohc made it hard to spot animals. The manatee exhibit is good. Atlanta should be hat the heads of this facility should look towards. At least the 40.00 ticket fee would go to taking care of the animals. The staff are very nice, dedicated, the facility is kept up. However as stated it dates from the 1950’s. With parking almost 100.00 for two people is only good to help the animals. Recently had a terrible experience which proves they are just trying to overcharge their clients. I bought my wife a penguin encounter while doing so they had this observer ticket that they were offering online while booking the encounter where they stated us guest will be able to observe our family from an observation area that being said and haven gone there before and knowing the penguin isle I thought it was a special area and not the general admission one. So I went ahead and bought the observer ticket for $50 and was super excited because I would be able to take pictures during the experience. The day of the encounter comes along and once we got there we asked if in fact my observer ticket had a special area to be on, nobody of 5 staff members had an answer and the manager was not around apparently she was on lunch break at 11:30 am. After asking many times they confirmed the special observer area that I paid extra for was just the regular area that you get to observe from with the general admission ticket which I get a discounted rate on since my wife is a veteran. This got me extremely upset because they stated that $49.99 is they admission fee to their park and that is that the observer ticket is for. I called them out on their BS since I had just looked online and have paid the general admission before and their tickets are being sold for $39.99 and with the veterans discount my ticket usually ends of being $33.00 instead of $50. We ended up going to guest services and again no person that could process a refund was on staff on a busy Sunday afternoon (this is ridiculous) and they ask me to call Monday for a girl called Jasmine which should be processing my refund. I have been trying to contact her since then multiple times in a day with her extension number and she keeps on hanging up the phone and not returning call. Extremely dishonest and not efficient staff members at all!! Would not recommend this business to anyone and honestly is not even worth going there anymore. Everything is dirty and old and it seems like they do not spend a dime on upgrading the park at all.

My kids enjoyed it there tremendously. We used to have season tickets for several years! Not sure of some of the exhibition s are up to modern animal welfare standards - we stopped going because of that..

I was surprised to have liked this place given the mixture of reviews. I have to agree the entry price does seem quite steep for the limited space and time. We were in and out, having seen everything, within probably 45 minutes max. We could have gone back in throughout the day to see some of their feedings or talks, but its kind of a one time through thing.

Nice place to visit specially with kids if you’re in Miami. Check the schedule before you go there so that you don’t miss any shows. See lions show is must to see. Poor whale, it’s a tiny place for him. Was expecting to see a great show of whale, not really . Overall the experience was ok

Established was clean and quiet. Even though it was a minimal crowd, staff at show still showed professionalism. Establishment had plenty of sanitary stations and everyone wore mask.

I brought my little girl and my family for her birthday on the 25th of Feb. It was a great day and we enjoyed ourselves. My little girl was a little sad though, the play ground was close and she was looking forward to play on it. She did have a chance to do the thing that you strap yourselves on and climb up. We enjoy the killer whale and the children had a blast. The shows were great. Thank you guys. It was an amazing day! :)

I cant judge the thing fully cause I was only able to see two shows, but from my experience it was fun. The dolphins were doing tricks and kicking balls into the audience, which was impressive. It is a very big place and you could get lost trying to find something.

Facilities are a little dated. But the animal care seems good. All animals we saw looked healthy and showed signs of content not stressed. I was with my daughter who is an animal behavioral specialist. The restaurant for humans was dirty though! That was the only problem we encountered. Overall the visit was enjoyable.

Great Aquarium to visit. Didnt expect much before arriving but we really enjoyed our time here. Location is small which turns out to be a plus. Easy to walk and see all it has to offer without exhausting yourself in the heat of Miami. They offer shows throughout the day and at great time intervals. Able to watch a show and quickly stroll over to the next one.
