Amazing collection of planes! A must see! We got a guided tour from Mike Shepherd and his knowledge and story telling was a joy to listen too. I highly recommend asking for him when you get there to show you around. Thanks Mike and all of the great people at the Arizona Commemorative Air Force Museum for keeping these great birds in the sky so future generations can enjoy and appreciate!

And you are able to go into the maintenance area to watch the people who keep these historical birds flying which is really neat. Outstanding experience!!! Was able to experience a bucket list flight in a Stearman biplane. Beautiful views, amazing experience, my pilot was very interesting and knowledgeable about the aircraft. Teaching me along the way. Highly recommend the experience if you love to fly and experience the world of flight. Nothing could be more pure than an open air cockpit enjoying the sounds, sights and smells of flight. Would love to fly again and again, truly jealous of the pilots that get to do this on a regular basis. All employees work as volunteers and could not be more professional and informative about their experiences in the military and aviation. Please partake in this experience.

Men who have seen it and been thru it. We were guided by a gentleman the whole way thru. Explaining everything in detail and what it was used for. The planes where amazing. The history shown here is humbling and educational. Thank you for your service to our country. A must see for all ages. After this I took them to see the movie Midway in the theaters. This place is well worth the price of admission. I have been to a few air museums before that have mostly focused on just the planes. I enjoyed this museum because it had the exhibits along the walls with the engines and equipment. I think I spent more time looking at the engines than the planes. I Just Flew on their B 17-- Ride of Lifetime1st let me say that from the flight crew to the pilots...stand up -friendly - professional people --who are there for the love of the history. The flight before us had a 90 year veteran who had flown in the war (WW2) in this very same plane-- the man was frail but lucid and the entire staff gave him and his service the acknowledgment of a lifetime, as they carefully assisted him in entering and exiting the aircraft..it was truly their honor (and very moving to watch them make a fuss and how this man perked up) by assisting a war hero from a different generation.Thats the quality of people who maintain this airfleet

I could not believe how cool this place is! My little cutie pie was not too enthused when I told him we were coming here. Hes more of a natural outdoorsy science kid. Right when I parked our vehicle, his eyes lit up. I have to admit, mine did too! Military planes everywhere! Veterans walking around, eager to talk about their stories were one of the highlights of our trip! I could not peel my son off the inside the B-17 Bomber plane! WWII, Korean and Vietnam memorabilia galore! I wish we had one of my uncles here to tell us of their experience. I cant wait to take hubby here.
