I came today for the first time with my grandson who is 4 years old. Not only he, but I was in awe too! I can honestly say this place is best kept secret in Idaho! I cant believe I didnt know about it even I am always searching for some new places for my grandson! I am not going to spoil your visit, you have to see it to believe it, I can honestly say WELL DONE AND THANK YOU!

I was really excited when I found out the museum was opening because it was the first one in the area. My children absolutely loved it and we chose to get a pass because of the daily admission prices. We went quite frequently but after a year my 5 year old started to lose interest. Some of the exhibits are definitely better than others. My kids loved the grocery store, pizza parlor, interactive video games, baby chicks, Dinosaurs and train table the most. I definitely think with time and more funding it will be really awesome! Thank you for entertaining my children.

Everyone is required to wear masks but while we were there, a boy around the age of 5 or 6 was audibly sick. He was coughing non stop and although he had a mask, he was not wearing it over his nose or mouth. COVID or not, they should have asked them to leave as it was extremely obvious that he was unwell.

We got to visit the museum today for the first opening week. My little loved it, spent 1.5 hours and could have spent double that. Dentist, vet, constructon, exercise, garden, reading, bank, cave, toddler, train, space ship, trader Joes, plane, pizza, and a pirate ship areas. Some exhibits were more engaging than others for my two year old. The cave and space ship had very little to interact with but the other areas were awesome. He loved shopping and making pizza and digging in the dirt. I hope in the future they have an area with climbing like a tree house or more crawling like in the cave but longer. Stool in the bathroom for littles to use the sink. We will definitely be back

The Childrens Museum of Idaho is a great place for kids to learn about all different aspects of life, from food service and shopping to banking, veterinary science, farming and agriculture. Its a great place for kids to let their imaginations run away with them. Lots of creative things to do and play with are scattered all around the museum. They offer single or family memberships too which is awesome. We use ours almost weekly.

This place is amazing! I wish we had found it sooner. My daughter was a bit overwhelmed as she wanted to play with everything. Theres so many different activities and themes!I also loved how clean everything seemed to be. And it was definitely organized. There was a room where kids could do various projects and it looked to have a schedule as well. So depending on the day and time you could have your child participate in a project.Definitely will come back!

Really awesome play place for toddlers but... Quite a bit overpriced. Charging for parents is ridiculous. And when you charge for parents, at least dont ask them to clean up the mess too. My advice to the owners- should really take a look at Jabbers in Nampa and see what they charge and also note that Jabbers pick up after your kids too and provide parents with leather couches and coffee. The amount of activities was really great but I feel like the staff there are really up-tight church moms or something.

Super cute and fun place to take your kiddos to be entertained for a few hours. The membership is definitely worth it in my opinion. I will say that I took my 3 year old and my 7 month old on a Friday afternoon and it was crazy busy and a little overwhelming for my son. This place is so great for young children! My kid will spend hours here if we could. Each room is unique and encourages exploration and curiosity. Review №31

I was so appalled at how dirty this place is. You can tell that they haven’t mopped in a very very long time. The dirt was caked onto the floor outside the “cave” part and through out the entire building. In the room with the activity table, there was purple sticky stuff all over the table and sticky milk type residue in the crevices of the couch in there. And the bathroom was so foul. The smell was bad enough but there was dirty toilet paper all over the floor and sink counter. No staff had obviously been in there all day to clean up. This place is also not very baby friendly even though they allow babies in. They have a toddler designated area but no gate attached to the fence surrounding it so it’s very hard to let your baby play when they’re constantly trying to get out.I only saw two employees, the lady that takes admission and a young girl that just walked around. No one is actively cleaning like most play gyms I’ve been to. I also expected this place to be more of a museum and less of a play gym. If you want to go to a nice and clean play gym go to woodland kids. We left maybe 10 minutes into being there.Response to owners reply:The dirt on the ground was dirt not cement. You could push it around with your foot. Cement doesn’t move. And maybe add come deeper cleaning to the corners of the construction exhibit and the creases of the couch because there is food in there. And your building isn’t big enough for me not to notice the other employees unless they weren’t in uniform. Instead of arguing with your customers, show some humility and gracefully apologize for how disgusting your facility is and make those changes. You’ll burn through customers with that attitude and soon you’ll be out of business.Thank you for the response. I definitely will not be coming back.

The grandkids had such a great time! Thanks for entertaining them for 2-3 hours, even though it was raining and we couldnt go to the outdoor area... That was a bit if a disappointment, but we will be back for sure. Our 4 year old loved it and had a great time in his first time around. They had a few neat areas, but there wasnt a lot of educational material as youd expect to see in a museum. Also, the $24 pricetag for two parents to take a toddler seemed a little excessive. Probably wont be back due to the cost/value ratio unless the adult pricing changes or we have a large group of young children.

This place was fun for our 3 and 1 year olds. But the fact that 2 and under is free and adults have to pay $8 (just as much as kids) is insane. I get that they want parents in interact. But it’s also nice for your kid to play on their own and gain independence. Also it’s ok for my kids to make friends with the other kids playing, and me, a parent not be all over the equipment with my child. There are other indoor play/explore places that don’t charge parents.

Kids had a great time. Was expensive to take the whole family. Disappointed they don’t have a “last hour of the day” type discount. It’s the best museum the treasure valley has to offer but falls short in so many ways compared to other children’s museums in other cities we’ve been to. Once again kids under 8 had a fabulous time and we were there for 3 hours but will only be a once in a while trip due to price.

Its great for a rainy day, and for imaginitive play. You have to pay for adults as well as children because they are promoting adults to play along side the children. No food or drink allowed. There are stations with props to play in different settings: shopping at trader Joes, make pizza and salad at Idaho pizza, pilot an airplane, play in a spaceship, play with trains on a large raised train track, play house, pretend you are gardening and milking cows on the farm, be a veterinarian, projected games onto the floor to stomp on, outside the kids can pretend they are fishing or in the wild west. My kids could have stayed the entire day, but I was exhausted after a few hours

We’ve gone twice in the last two months. My child has a great time when we go until we go to the bathroom. A children’s place should have children’s toilets and sinks. Small children can’t get themselves on the toilets or sit on the toilets without touching the seat with their hands. I would of had a better time if the 2 lady’s walking around weren’t repeating at 4:40 that they’re closing and that we have to pick up and leave. If you don’t want to pick up after the children (which is what was intended for) why make a business for children that’s going to be messy. I’m sorry you have to stay 30 minutes after when there’s 3-4 able to do it. I have never been to a business that’s telling me to leave every 30 seconds. Beyond rude. Definitely $24 not worth spending for the 35 minutes we were there.

Great indoor place for kids with lots of interactive activities! (Outdoor was closed due to rain) the kids seem to love it and we spent several hours there until the fun was ruined. The behavior that was displayed to us as well as a couple other children by the Executive Director and her second hand person was appalling. These two are certainly have no understanding when it comes to children at PLAY. They also do not understand the very basics that go into customer service!Myself & 2 other adults attended and we had 4 children under the age of 5 with us.The kids were actively playing with the toys in the room when the executive director walked in and acted as though her heart had stopped. She could not believe “the mess” that the room was and walked around berating children and parents to their faces saying they needed to pick up the room. The adults in the room stepped in and said they had planned to pick up the room, just as we had with all of the other rooms we played in today. But there is no sense cleaning up and putting away toys that kids are actively using and playing with. The director then went on to still berate the parents saying they need to keep better watch of their children so that they don’t make a mess at all. (Again clearly she is in the wrong business if she doesnt understand how children play they aren’t a Fischer Price commercial) and when parents tried to explain this we were just met with scowls, dirty looks & rude comments/excuses on why we should be better and that they are allowed to be upset because we “would not believe how many messes they have to clean up in a day” (Again, not a customers problem). The secondhand person then began cleaning up the room while huffing and puffing and making a scene about how hard it is. (Toys that were being played with and parents were no given a chance to pick up said toys, one dad told his son he had stop playing with the toys so he could give them to the lady who was cleaning up.) The executive directors face and attitude was not that of a person who enjoys knowing or being around children in any sense and does not understand basic communication. So your kids will have a great time so long as you don’t have to deal with the ED and her protege. 4.5 stars would have been given if we hadn’t been disrespected at the end.
