For the most part its clean and well cared for. There are a few good places to grab a bite near by. Unfortunately much of the surrounding area is an eye sore and I wouldnt spend more time at the Green than it took to walk from one side to the other.

Nice place for being relax, make some exercise like jogging, walking or bicycle. Clean and easy to get in and get out. It looks like the city take good care of the area.

Very nice and clean. Great location and easy access and free parking. Salsa event was very nice, however more social distancing needs to yet be practiced. While some dancers did use the hand sanitizer provided, many did not. Our group was able to keep our distance, enjoy the good music and it was nice to be outside.

The green is always clean. The town really takes care of it. Love going for walks with the family here

Park its nice, the downside was the portable bathroom, it was a mess! Other than that it was very nice and clean.

Great place to walk around in. Check out the train station, walk the bridge with little one safely, play in the grass and occasionally feed the fish in the Brook.

Quiet, clean park in the middle of an industrial area. -1 star because there is no place to swim. Plenty of street parking and nice walking trails.

Beautiful, lots of parking and has liquor and deli right close by . I enjoyed someGreat salsa on the green. And i highly enjoy the social distancing and the environment.

Beautiful but wished there were more events I was interested in. I do go to the farmers market every Saturday.

Nice clean park for an outdoor event especially on a nice summer day/night. Somewhat a bad location due to parking, it was pretty hard to find a spot. The tribute to the King of Pop wasnt the best but you cant go wrong with Michael Jackson songs. I did love the fact he interacted with the crowd so that gives it more points.

Visible from the Amtrak Train Station in Meriden Connecticut is a beautiful pedestrian bridge crossing over the water and I believe the Meriden Green. One of the many great views from the Vermonter train between Brattleboro and Washington. The bridge was decorated with lights and a holiday wreath making this a lovely stop on a New England vacation.

Meriden actually did a decent job putting this green together. Just like any green, you should be cautious and aware of sketchy people and always knew where the blue boxes are. I love the Meriden Farmers market on the weekends. Nice place for a walk.

This place has really changed. I like the new design and the walk ways the meriden green .... it is perfect for taking the commuter train north or south

Was working a booth at the Farmers market on Main and it was their back to school event, the festivities were amazing and the ppl were genuinely WARM&ACCOMMODATING, also I must say I have never seen a porta potty that was as EXTRAVAGANT AS THEIRS, THANKS TO THE OLD MAYOR & PAM

I would not visit this place at night, but during the day I got to enjoy the Vietnam Memorial sculpture there.

Very nice. Went there and visited the Farmers Market. Had a great time on this beautiful morning. Wonderful selection of vegetables, fruits, etc. People are very friendly and talkative. Hope to visit again soon.

Its a nice addition to the downtown area, and has been around for about 3 years; there is a beautiful stream where you might spot some ducks. The bridge lights up at night making for the best setting and the pantheon is pretty too. There are also places to grab food and drinks nearby in case you want to grab a bite.

We are a food trailer who participated in the pop-up market, concert on the Green, Saturday, August 10, 2019. Fabulous night. Spacious. Clean area with a fabulous bandstand. Great show, great people.

Nice. Good walks mapped out for you but nothing for the kids to do. They dont want teenagers playing football (said the officer) because its a place for relaxation. Ha!!! Across the street from the train Station. Yeah not relaxing w/ some of the people who hang around there...m

This is a very unsafe park when there are cops driving inside the park walkways and people walk on the green. If I was driving on a part sidewalk I would be arrested but its okay for cops to drive illegally on sidewalks.. Ill never bring my kids to Meriden green Meriden is a bad role model for kids if they are allowing cops to drive on a sidewalk illegally...

Great time at trunk or treat

Gorgeous park in the heart of downtown Meriden. Great place to watch a show, take your kids to play, go for walks, runs, or bike rides.I wish the city did more to keep the park clean, but citizens step up where the city fails and is able to maintain a clean park.

The Farmers market was very nice. Be sure and pick up some local honey spring/light or fall/dark honey from the Gawel family

The place is nice but you see some people throwing trash around instead of using a trash container around the park. City should force the peoples to keep it clean and safe.

Pretty place and they have a new food truck called Lucys thats really good and great prices. Perfect for a snack and walk around.

This is a very beautiful and clean green with native fllora and water animals!. Conveniently across from train station and bus depot. A commuters lot is there as well. Safe and bike friendly, lush grass with very little bugs. I like it!

Its nice but its in a rough part of town. There are also three apartments in the area but there are more close by none of which are affordable and the city did a horrible job in separating the riff raff if you will.

Excellent place to sit and watch the birds fly around

A beautiful, well maintained multi-use facility in the heart of downtown Meriden. Much of the area around it is experiencing revival and this is the crown jewel in its midst.

It was nice & peaceful place to take the family.

The flood project turned to a park is a wonderful place to take a stroll. The beautiful arched bridge that spans the center of the park during the day is very nice. However, the arches within the arch bridge at night are beautiful and elegant as a proper lady, though the Green is closed after dusk. The park is kept clean of garbage and the pathways are nice to walkabout to get some excersize, though the Green isnt quite large enough to stretch out your legs without going over the same walkways over again. Overall the Meriden Green is Very nice and comfortable and you would never know that its true purpose is for flood control. Great job City of Meriden!!!

The summer lunch program that takes place in the Meriden Green in a lifesaver. Our family has had to sacrifice every dollar of income in order to purchase gas for our vehicle and maintenance is another can of worms. Due to an existing medical issue that I have been dealing with since 1990 it has been difficult to keep food in refrigerator. This year has been especially tough. Thanks to all that make lunches available to children who otherwise would go hungry.

Its a nice addition to Meriden. Nice green grass and sidewalks throughout. Neat looking bridge. I wish they had some kind of fencing going around it or something. I have younger kids that like to run around. Needs more garbage cans and benches, maybe picnic tables would be nice.

Place had lots of liquor bottles thrown about on the ground.

Take a walk, or sit down on the grass and enjoy sunlight. The walking paths are excellent to walk with family or with a partner. For those going solo its somewhere that you can enjoy.

Saw a dude smoking rocks on a peddle bike near the river path... He couldnt be bothered to hide it, so Im guessing this is normal behavior for the area...
