Its unique that its not the typical open area dog park. Its a trailed off leash park. Our dog loves to flush and his favorite activity is running around in the brush and water. Theres a creek...where he splashed around and there are paths and sub paths. He really enjoyed himself. We drove 20 minutes but worth the drive. So if your looking for an off leash hike-like experience with your dog give this park a go. The only downside is the entrance is not fenced in so if you have a wild one it’s best to keep them on leash until you get to the trail area a few yards away We’ve been to many parks this ranks as one of the best in the city

Great dog park, well maintained trails and play areas. Not fenced, so best for dogs who stay close. Nice stream area for dogs to cool off in.

Our first visit! The trails are wide and easy going (for those able bodied.) Dog play area is muddy in winter but that is to be expected. Dogs and their humans were friendly and well mannered; all forgave the poor manners of my 5 month old (very adorable) pup while pitching in to help improve said manners. We will definitely be back through the seasons.

Beautiful dog park! Great trails for dogs and humans! 35 acre park and allows dogs to be off leash. You can find dog bowls and poop bags all over the trails to help keep a clean park.

I like the nature walks and meeting the dogs. Theres also a small lagoon-like pool at one end of a creek, and I couldve sworn I saw fish in it. Although when its really hot and/or humid after a rainy day, it gets muddy and buggy.

One of the best dog parks Ive ever been to. Not just a boring open area, there are tons of different trails you can wander with your dog.

This used to be the gem that all other dog parks would aspire to - used to. Since a few years ago the county park system has basically ignored this park. This is a huge park with lots of wooded trails, but someone has decided to take a weedwacker and slash bushes and trees next to the trails. The trees and branches are left there for weeks, with many of the branches containing large thorns. There are no longer trash cans on the trails to put your pet waste in, empty stands. Many parts of the trails are lower than the surounding areas, so everytime it rains, mamy areas remaining muddy for days. Many other parks combat this problem by building up the trails or at least putting down wood chips. There niw is a posted notice at the park to contact a parks rep to complain about current conditions.

Pretty close to dog heaven!!! Take your dog off the leash - explore and have fun! Common trails and others you will find for just you and your best bud! Plenty of socializing for all..

This is simply the best dog park anywhere. This is different from what you may expect of most dog parks, as it is truly a park and not a fenced in corral where you let your dog offleash. There are many trails you can walk on and allow your dog to run free through the woods, into a small stream and in a large open field.

Awesome park, wish we had more like this one around metro area. Creek was my favorite part. Open field area near parking lot is a bit close to the road for comfort, but if it bothers you then take a hike (literally)

We had our 13 mile water stop here 4 the Lake Front Marathon . It is also a dog park. It could have been closed till 11 am .not real safe 4 the runners with cars crossing their path.

A giant dog park that is great for furry creatures of all sizes. Only caveats: No fenced in area for those that tend to be runners, and you have to wait several days after it rains otherwise its practically a swamp!

Large dog park with lots for dogs to do. Lots of dense brush and limestone trails. Only caution is there are no fences, so if you have a dog with a nose for trouble this might not be the place for you. One other issue was that the only garbage can I found was at the entrance, which is not a good thing when 100 yards into your hike both of your dogs take a massive dump and you have to haul it for the rest of your hike till youre back at your car.

Unlike many dog parks there are extensive hiking trails so if your dog does not get along with another you can just walk on down the trail. They could use a port-a-potty.
