This is a very unique place! My kids loved walking around the model of the Mississippi river. Its huge! I hope they clean up the buildings and area and put water in it soon. Its probably because of quarantine, but I hope Memphis doesnt let this awesome place deteriorate.

The park has a ton of amenities and areas for my kids to play. Its got a great view of the river as well.

This is a great place for adults, kids, or should I say all ages rather. Not to mention it overlooks the Mighty Mississippi!

Such a fun little park! And a great spot to watch the sun set. Fire pits, tables, chairs &.of course, a fun play space.**this is NOT where the river model is like another review stated. That is on mud island

Good change. Very peaceful. Love the swings 2 along with great music that was being played from the speakers. They even pay a person 2 sit and watch. Safe feeling. Ty Memphis

Great park to explore with beautiful view of Memphis. We loved the scale model of the Mississippi River.

Firepit Friday was awesome

New Philips Hue lights debut on the Hernando desoto bridge.

We packed a lunch and enjoyed eating at one of the many picnic tables by the visitors center.. then my 6-yr old daughter ran around the small playground and really enjoyed herself.. no slides but the climbing nets made up for it. It was all clean and well-maintained.

Ample parking for a small venue and never terribly busy, well maintained, clean, and safe. Great place to stop with small children and enjoy a picnic lunch, let the kids run around a bit.

The topographical map of the Mississippi River is pretty neat. We rode the BCycle bikes around the park and had a lovely time!

Its always worth a stop. Nice views - whether people watching, letting the kids play at the new park or walking along the river. I also recommend renting the scooters or bikes along the way - its a nice way to make the hot, dense air more bearable.

Beautiful place!

This is a nice small play area for your children. You can also rent different things to enjoy the River. There is also a snack stand. We enjoyed the scenery. If you go before the sun goes down its not as crowded.

Getting rundown. If you use your phone to get premium parking, follow the link and take a pic of your plates or you will get a ticket. It is a little deceptive. Attractions are not open Monday through Thursday. We did not see the attractions, but the building was not in great sale and smelled. But definitely worth visiting. Exhibits are great according to others.

Memphis is an interesting place. So much rich history and its sad to see so much poverty. The record shops are amazing. Seeing the Lorraine Motel is more powerful than I can express. But the city is broken. Its sad.

Theyve really revamped the River Park! It looks so different than it did before I relocated some 20 years ago. I revisited the park with a close friend, and since that first visit, she and I have made that our special place! Kudus Memphis!

We Loved and appreciated the Visitors Center! It was clean and a lovely temperature! And the parking was free and had parking for a small moving truck! Thanks

It is a beautiful park and is only likely to get better with increased focus on the riverfront. The simplicity of the playground (nest) is fantastic. Kids figure out how to play. The snack vendor is just enough.

Good clean park by the river. Staff was there bright and early picking up trash from night before. The only problems consisted of a few finished blunts and some homeless sleeping in the park.

An excellent way to learn about the mighty Mississippi and the Delta. Wonderful historical information but the information on the River ecosystems is most unique. Well worth the time, especially on a cool spring or fall day.

Nothing for kids to actually have fun playing on.After paying to park on mud island you still have long walk. And only had one fountain for kids play and it was FILTHY

Very nice family park with a water sprinkler playground, volleyball sandbox, soft hilly & big fish play area over looking the mighty Mississippi River. I love this place. It would be nice to have a shaded sitting area for adults, but it has been a breezy spot every time weve been there. I love Memphis
