The food and service was excellent. Their pecan pie taste homemade. If you go i strongly suggest you try the half fried half sauted crab claws, but they do only serve them on certain days so call a head and dont be rude if they dont have them.
Love neighborhoods like this! Vacationing in Memphis for our honeymoon and my drummer husband had stopping by the Memphis Drum Shop on his bucket list. Then walked down to Bluff City Coffee & Bakery. Already planning to come back to visit more shops (and revisit the café) in the next day or so.
Fun part of town, though not a lot going on with the pandemic and all.
Absolutely gorgeous, jaw-dropping architecture! Ive never seen anything like it. I honestly cant find the right words to describe the beauty of these buildings. Youll discover that Cooper Young has its own vibe entirely just as Downtown and other areas do. So much to see and do in this area! Great area to visit free of charge. Many options for outside activities and events. Diverse, trendy, health and wellness, and environment-friendly focused area.
Great family spot!
I love Memphis for its food and culture. This area is no exception. Went to The Beauty Shop for dinner. So good!
A very hip and upbeat section of midtown near the heart of Memphis. It’s gaining new popularity with new restaurants and vibrant young culture.
Amazing friendly environment. I go sometimes 2x week. I feel at home and you will too. Great food and service!
This place has a great outdoor patio! Margaritas where delicious. We had the lobster stuffed chili relleno....OMG...a must order and the fried avocado. It was probably the best one I have had before. We will go back if we are in Memphis again!!
Cool area of the city. Really enjoyed exploring the entire area. Loved Imagination Cafe so much we ate two meals there! Definitely a great area to hang out and enjoy an evening.
Fine neighborhood comprised of good hard working people. Many great shops and restaurants, churches, schools and community organizations. Check out the farmers market on Saturdays (spring through summer)in the parking lot of First Congratulational Church. The variety of wonderful restaurants should cover most taste buds. Dont miss Burkes Book Store, the best in Memphis.
This place was really nice food was great especially the sweet potato fries I had the vegetable plate a really good amount for the price..
Cooper Young area is an awesome place to visit! There is a variety of things to do. Great restaurants and bars. Most everyone is pretty friendly around there. The atmosphere is laid-back.
I have always loved this area. Now I work in this area and I am so happy!
Local hangout and awesome. Alchemy best happy hour and beauty shop has shea the best bartender
Very nice neighborhood. Appears to be just past up and coming.
Just passing through Memphis and found this fantastic vegan restaurant. The food was amazing.
Great area to explore on a nice evening. Good food at several places and good variety. Several places to get drinks. Casual laid back would recommend Young Avenue Deli and if youre looking for a classier experience check out Alchemy.
Such a cool progressive neighborhood! A little gem in an otherwise maybe not so safe part of Memphis
Great place to walk around and visit different restaurants and shops
Beale Street is frenetic. Cooper Young district has less noise and more coffee shops, maķing it delightful.
Great part of town with nice bars and restaurants.
Very cool part of town. Easy and lots of parking.
Eclectic mix of bars, restaurants and shops. A little something for everyone
This place is a Memphis must see. There is so much character in this area. Alchemy, Celtic Crossing, and Beauty shop are some great places to get food and drink. There is more of a local atmosphere here, and I love it!
Nice area of Memphis plenty of restaurants and bars to enjoy.
Great shops and dining. Good place to hang out on a nice Saturday evening.
Love the area. Idk whyyyyyy lol
It eclectic, which is really nice. Several food spots, a couple of coffee places, a great Irish pub with good food, an old record place, kickboxing, a really nice ladies clothing store, a bar with pool tables. Just a great place to hang out.
Fabulous area located in midtown extremely historical area with large old fashioned houses ranging back to the 1800s, nice built up areas as well like the area on Madison st. Which features a European scene with pubs or bars with nice patio areas outside in a area called the triangle, beautiful movie theater and a parking garage that looks like new. A beautiful up to date dancing facility which has people coming from all over the country and the world to participate right on the corner of Madison and cooper a real magnificent site to see. The Memphis Zoo is literally just down the st. Which is surrounded by the ever popular Overton Park which has the Arts Museum on it, and not very far away is the pink palace museum along with the fabulous University of Memphis College and the Liberty Bowl which has a beautiful park of lights at dusk and it gets prettier when it gets darker, there is a new YMCA right in the same block with restaurant and other small parks within the same area, an extremely wide variety of things to do travel East and West on union and the sky is the limit. Travel west and you will head towards downtown to the most western part if TN, but be careful or you will find yourself crossing the MS and right into AR, yes just that close, lol lol.
Always love walking around this historic and cute area of town. Check out Burkes books. Java Cabana (cozy coffee shop with games and open mic nights ), buff city soap, Celtic crossing (great food ), and the house of mews where you can visit with and adopt cats!
Great place to hang out during Cooper Young Festival.
If you havent visited the Cooper Young area lately then do yourself a favor and do so. A very eclectic neighborhood. Theres bound to be something to match your interest.
I love this area of Memphis. The atmosphere, people (friendly), great area.
Always a welcoming atmosphere with great restaurants to choose from.
One of my favorite stomping grounds in Memphis. Lots of local shops and restaurants. I definitely recommend browsing the locally made comics at 901 Comics or grabbing a bite to eat at Mulans.
Restaurants bars and clubs oh my! In the midst of way overpriced homes. A whole neighborhood with atmosphere. The stratosphere. Only Central Gardens is better than them
It was extremely fun. The vendor people were super nice and very sweet.
Wonderful place! Friendly environment....easy to meet people. Laid back environment....great to park and walk around and shop.
The side bar to sweetgrass in cooper-young. Great bar and staff. Cool place to hang out.
This is a great neighborhood. They have several restaurants from Mexican, Chinese, Burgers places, Vegan, Vegetarian, Irish and Southern soul are just some. They also have a brewery, brew pub, neighborhood grocery, record shop and and couple coffee shops. Its where more locals go then tourists but still a great spot.

Nice area of town with lots of eateries including vegan, lots of entertainment and vintage shops...
Everything is slowly opening.
Great atmosphere! Awesome restaurants and bars. Great architecture to check out.
Great location to hangout with family and friends
Lots to see and do. Great music and food abounds!
Some of the areas around it are not so great, but this area is fairly large and active.
Love CY!
Very cool place within walking distance of lots of great things.
The kids took us to dinner. It is nice but not for us seniors. There is very little parking, had to walk a long way to get to the restaurant. The streets are narrow with cars parked on both sides, no room to drive 2 cars on the street. We dont plan on going back. There are so many other places to eat. The food was small portioned and over priced. No thanks Ill stay at home.
Best area in town WHOOP WHOOP
Live in the area great place to walk around and grab a bite to eat with friends or a couple drinks.
Great street fair was just a great day

The ambience makes suburban white people comfy!
Get a small town vibe in a big city with much to do!
This community has consistently shown Memphis that it doesnt take a massive corporate sponsor or public funding to GROW... Hard work, passion and a dedication to embracing our human differences is the catalyst that keeps this district moving upwards.
The most unique and interesting part of Memphis with amazing food and fun bars.
I love this place, everything is right here.
I volunteered at OUT Memphis. A great nonjudgmental group of people!
Adorable and friendly neighborhood.
Fun neighborhood with some good spots to check out. Cooper Young festival has gotten too big for the location, but is a great stop and way to explore the community.
Fun to walk the area on a Saturday evening.

Currently closed until further notice due to plumbing issues. Im sure I wouldve loved it if I had remembered this little tid bit of info (visiting from out of town).
