We had such a good time! There is an informative video and many cool artifacts! The staff were very friendly, helpful, and kind. The outdoor area was fascinating! The trail is well maintained and so pretty! There are a few decent hills and some bridges to get across eroded areas. Will definitely be coming back! The only picture I have is this pretty leaf. I was too distracted enjoying it to take pictures.

What a great experience for children. Shilling Farms Elementary School extended the learning experience by visiting the Indian artifact museum. Long distance, but well worth the drive. There is a small gift shop. And a hands on exhibit for the children to touch and feel and create conversations. Also the scavenger hut had them reading exhibits, reading questions and searching for answers - great group cooperation. They were also able to hand make pottery bowls to take home. Great Field-Trip!

I was there in the late sixties, early seventies. There were skeletons and pottery displayed on raised ground. I was a child and remember being amazed and the smell of Earth. It made such an impression that I wanted to be an archaeologist. Ended up being a nurse.

A nice archeology museum. It had a small inside exhibit, a nature trail, a replica house, and of course the earthen mounds.

I think ordinarily, we would have given this place four stars. But today was a family fun day. There was a lot of activities to do. We had a lot of fun. I would recommend people coming here especially for a family fun day.

A neat little museum to learn about native and black culture in the area that you don’t read about in textbooks. Make sure to do the nature trail and the activity room. It’s small but it’s a good place for a short morning or afternoon trip (two hours max). Just don’t go within 90 minutes of closing or they’ll remind you every ten minutes of when they close.

Pitiful! The indoor museum was ok, pretty much the standard collection of arrowheads and bead work. The outdoor part was a disgrace. The few educational beds with medical herbs, crops etc were totally neglected and overgrown. Grass was tall and unkempt. The one and only dwelling that used to demonstrate the inside of a house was locked. Considering the lengthy drive required to get to the museum, the experience was a total waste of time and gas.

There was a very nicely assembled little museum part. I felt like they didnt push themselves very hard to make it VERY engaging or authentic at some points. The whole operation only took my family 35 or 40 min.

The trail is grown and unsafe for children and steps are missing with met rods sticking out from the ground. The staff could have warned us or just mentioned it because we had a baby in a stroller. They showed real interest in each other and not in the only visitors they had at that time, I hope they get married soon!! It was out first time there and really looked forward to it. Won’t be back there!! It was awful. Hope they use the donations to buy a lawnmower
