Went for a girls night out with my 4 daughters. We needed some bonding time. I cant remember our cashiers name, but she was awesome! We went to see Freaky, but it was rated 17 or over and 2 of the girls werent, so she was patient and suggested the movie we watched based on the genre we previously chose. We were seated in theater 11 which is filled with reclining chairs. Since the pandemic, customers choose their seats off a seating chart which requires 2 seats on either side between your party and the next group. So since we were a group of 5 we ended up with a row to ourselves, seats 3 thru 7, with the 2 seats on both ends left open. Masks are required everywhere except in the actual auditorium for eating snacks purposes. It was really fun. We went to see come play, and there are a lot of jump scares throughout the movie. I rated a 4 instead of 5 because 2 of the recliners we had didnt recline.

I went to Malco not long ago, and i was super pleased with the service. A worker named Jillian was the sweetest girl and was super friendly with helping me. The establishment overall was very clean and well kept! 10/10 recommend!

Yes the theater has reopened and there’s social distancing and you purchase your tickets online...what I didn’t know is they totally upgraded the space! The main lobby area looks the same, but the chairs are now the cushioned recliner seats, not just in IMAX but all of the theaters! It is really amazing and big thumbs up to Paradiso for doing this.

Love how you can lay back and almost down to watch a movie. I almost fell asleep looking at the New Mutants. Next thing I think they need is some foldaway tables for each recliner. Would help to hold up your Nacho Cheese with Jalepeno Peppers

Covid is posing challenges for businesses, but Malco has learned how to pivot during this time. We reserved the theater that could hold up to 20 people at a time and we really enjoyed our new way of going to the movies! Good job Malco!

Its the only theater my husband enjoys going to. Very big. Good prices. Pretty clean. Fairly nice employees.

All the Malco theaters in the area have been upgraded but this one is by far the nicest. The theaters have the newest technology and their IMAX theater is absolutely top-notch. The parking lot is due to be repave so watch out for potholes but the inside of the building as well-maintained and taken care of. They offer reserve seating so you know you get a good seat if you book online.

Clean, fast, friendly service. Food wasnt the best and no chance of late night refills on drinks. Seats were comfy but didnt recline. We visit again but rethink the snack bar. I see why so many in our theater brought in outside food, taste doesnt match the price. Theater was very clean and ticket prices seemed reasonable.

I so loved watching Bad Boys 3 on IMAX. The pictures quality was phenomenal. The chairs was so comfortable. Im 6ft and there was more than enough room. For people to pass by and me not have to get up! From this point forward! Im only watching movies IMAX style

Very displeased at Customer service!! Last evening my co/worker and myself went to Paradiso to the invisible man. Each one of us order a pizza and went into IMAX where the movie had just started. After sitting down eating my pizza I notice the last piece was some how stuck together on top of part of another pizza. I told my girlfriend something wasn’t right and took it back to the concession stand. The young lady offer to make me another and I said no thank you, being that I have come here many times and eating a pizza and never had this experience. It was like the pizza had been dropped. The manager came out and refused to give me money with no apology or anything, I just spent 15 for a movie and 12 for a combo meal. I ask him his name the manager and he said Chris. I Cohan ask him last name and we don’t have to give you that. I was very disturbed by his cold uncaring disposition. I always like this movie theater until now. I actually go here sometimes 3x a week!! Very disappointed in his cold uncaring behavior!!! Disappointed customer!!!! His coworkers also saw how distance he was with his attitude... Is this the way the world is everywhere. No satisfaction to people who spend their money at place of business .

The Paradiso is very nice, the seats are comfortable and the floor ISNT sticky. The prices are the same as all the other theatres(except the Summer Twin Drive-In). That Dolby Athos surround sound is awesome!!!

Nice young lady help me figure out what to get for my two boys. She complimented them on their superman hats. She was very sweet.

Great to watch movies

Okay so if you have kids do not go here. Last Saturday we bought tickets via the Malco website for my girlfriend, her daughter, and I for a 7pm showing of a movie. We arrive and pickup our tickets. No problem like every other theater. We go to enter and the girl tearing the tickets refuses to let us enter. She states that it is Malco policy that no person under 18 may enter a rated R movie after 6pm even with a parent (daughter is 16). Now this was not mentioned on the website, in fact the website will sell you children tickets for any movie at any time. The only rectification that the theater offered was a refund 5 to 7 days after the fact. This is completely unacceptable I will not return. In fact I took my business to a non Malco theater.

Pros: great place to catch top rated movies! popcorn is pretty good too. can get pizza, assorted candy and nachos here also. staff pretty cool too! Cons: aisles are extremely tight. stepping over or on people to get to seats, have experienced teens running in and out of theater rooms laffing and playing during movie viewing. In defense of theatre, I did report it and management took care of it. Some guests in theatre stated this wasnt first time, hopefully it wont occur anymore. Lastly, pricing is kinda expensive if you used to $5 or less theatres. Overall I had a good experience.

Looking for an afternoon opportunity to take a break during the day and get in an action, drama, comedy...you get the picture - movie; well, check out the Paradisos matinee and remember to get your popcorn, drink and sweet treats then kick back and enjoy the movie. I went on this particular day to catch Atomic Blonde, it was OK, I debated the merits with my friend as we discussed the differences between it and Salt...my preference. Honestly, either one, since they depict strong action oriented women are pretty good but for me, Salt was lets say a better format. The theater itself was nice this time of day and there wasnt much chatter so you actually got to hear the movie! Stop in and catch yourself a good movie and enjoy the friendliness of the staff!!!

My husband and I travel 2 hours to go here several times a year because of the wonderful experience. We watched Star Wars this time with our Family that were visiting for Christmas. They said this theater is better than their home town one also.

The leather theater seats were comfortable and roomy. The concessions were tasty, but there were 3 employees standing behind the counter doing nothing for over 5 minutes while I waited for a drink refill, when an employee running a register came up I was able to get my refill, however all 3 employees standing there doing nothing walked over to the counter where I was waiting, looked at my cup, looked at me and walked away. Makco Theaters typically provide excellent customer service but not this time.

We saw Christmas Jars, only one showtime offered so tickets were spendy at almost $17. (Great show, by the way).I thought it would be newly refurbished with recliner seats or something updated, but it was not. Some of the seats were ripped up, looked old.I guess with the updated name of Paradiso Cinema and Grill, with IMAX, and paying such a high price for the tickets, I just expected the theater to be nicer.

I dont go very often because its pricey but it is a gorgeous theater that has upgraded over the years. The last time I went I saw If Beale Street Could Talk. The theater was huge. The seats were super comfy even tho they dont recline. There have been alot of reports of crime in the area but no one has ever bothered me or my property. Overall it is an awesome theater to check out a movie. I prefer to go during matinee hours to avoid the crowds. I will see you guys soon

It takes a while for Malco to update their theaters but this location is fine and I’ve never had any issues. Surround sound, variety if big and small theaters. Very clean, bathrooms clean. Popcorn popped fresh. The new IMAX theater is the best part of the location with plush seats and a great entertainment experience.Don’t order the mozzarella sticks lol.

Has everything youd expect from a theater now a days. Pretty well staffed snack bar so you shouldnt have to wait long

One of my favorite parts of Memphis when I first moved here in 2014, And it’s only gotten better over the years! It was the first movie theater that I’ve went to where I walked in, and was taken back by how different the place is. IMAX is absolutely great as well! That’s why I have no problem giving them a complete 5 star rating.

This movie theater is probably one of the worst ones I’ve ever been to. The women’s bathroom was filthy, the chairs and carpets are in dire need of a deep cleaning, my popcorn was stale (I paid $8 for it!), I saw a few baby roaches on the concession counter, and the theater had an old, musty smell to it. Please clean everything. Thoroughly. And the employees have such a nonchalant attitude about everything. The kids who sold me my food were cursing and playing around and the guy who tore my ticket didn’t look me in the eye or smile. I will not be back

The theater has a very large open area which is somewhat unnecessary. Also the floors are concrete. It has stadium seating so that except in just a few rows one is either too close or far. The staff is great - very accommodating. It also has 3-D movies and an IMAX. Prices were a bit high even for a non 3-D/IMAX movie. We had popcorn which tasted fresh.

Went to the IMAX to see Glass, excellent movie by the way. It was a very good experience with the theater being very clean, concessions are a rip off but they always are. The theater had a good showing of people which has been a nice change over the years and the line to get in was small with the option to pay at a traditional counter versus self serve. IMAX is large, well made, new looking and kept up well with the assigned seating being overall a good idea.Go see Glass, great movie.

I love the IMAX! This is my go to theater because the seats are big and comfy. The food is extremely expensive, so its best to either eat before or after you go. Tuesdays before 4pm its a discount on movies! Overall a pleasant experience.

OMG this theater is BEAUTIFUL, I’m from Jersey and just the architecture is really pretty so I was hype to be here, anyways outside of that, regular movie experience, nothing special, but I did appreciate how large the theater was and how nice it looks at night. My Movie theater I go to is nice here in Jersey but it don’t look anything like this

Its hard work replacing everything

Hooray for movies! Buying tickets at the kiosk is the way to skip the long lines. Prepare to spend as much on a snack and a drink as you did on the ticket (or hit up Walgreens candy section prior to arrival to prevent yourself from dipping into the kiddos college fund ). Comfy seats, incredible sound and IMAX, yall!

Sadly this use to be the nicest theater in Memphis but now its stuck in time, run down, smells like urine in the 2 rooms weve been in. Almost every other major city has VIP theaters now and certainly has competition with a variety of brands to choose from such as, AMC, Cinemark, Regal, Studio Movie Grill, iPic, Movie House, Cobb, Rave... Just to name a few most of which have reservation reclining seats for the same price I pay to step back in time here in Memphis to ancient run down theaters that are 15-35+ years old. Paradiso hasnt been renovated since it opened in like 2004 I believe.Whats up Memphis? Why does every other city have choices but Memphis is held hostage by a movie company that is old and out of touch. Their website is the worst Ive ever seen. Its awful and they dont have an app?? InsaneI visited some family last Christmas and saw a sign for yet another malco headed out to Fayette, the signs been there for at least two years saying new theater coming, still nothing... Other cities renovate and pop up new theaters in a few months. Its called competition, its healthy and needed. Im in shock that you guys dont demand more. The only time I have to go to an old traditional movie theater is when Im in a small town and when I visit family in Memphis. You connect the dots...Id give it zero stars if I could.VIP theaters explained:They Range from having amazing food bright to you by servers throughout the movie you can buzz them for a refill or something else on the menu. Or they offer higher end food you pick up on your way to your seat which is always a big comfortable recliner. The seats are always reservation regardless if you book online or just walk in, you pick your seat and its yours. No more showing up wondering if youll be on the first row or smashed in the middle with no room.Memphis! You need to stop being a small town stuck in the 90s !!!UPDATE: OH they are so proud that they have an IMAX lol didnt IMAX come and go like 10 years ago haha lol NO ONE CARES!!! You are stuck in the past. Hire some new people, go visit some cities and go to various theaters, TRY!!! Someone needs to look into why this is the only city with no competition

BEST movie theater I have ever visited so far. The sound, picture, atmosphere, and pretty much everything is made to make you feel that you are in the movies. Chairs were some what comfortable but aside from that I had a great experience!

No children allowed after 6pm on Friday and Saturday...an obsolete 10 year old policy that never made sense to anyone with common sense and the ability to parent.

Came here to see the new Terminator movie with my boyfriend on a double date with his best friend and girlfriend. The food here is pretty meh. Very misleading when you hear its a grill. The only food options available - unless we missed something - are chicken tenders, mini pizzas, hotdogs, burgers, and pretzels. Plus the typical movie theater fare of candy, popcorn, sodas, etc. I got a small pizza, of which the crust was extremely thin and loaded with like 5 lbs of cheese. My boyfriend got the chicken tenders, of which it was only 2. He paid $9 for two (2) flat tenders and a handful of fries. The fries were good, atleast. The tenders not so much.Theres a separate bar that my friends waited almost 15 minutes at the front of the line for their two beers and one glass of wine.The theaters themselves are nice, but fairly small. The bathrooms were clean. For a Paradiso I expected more....just more, lol.

Seats are super comfortable. Plenty of screens, so it isnt crowded for big premieres (such as Captain Marvel). -1 star because a small soft drink costs the same amount as a Cookout tray ($5). Still, provides an overall clean experience that wont distract from your movie.

Was 4 ☆s, now not so much. And its a 70/30 mix between the staff and the audience. So many people act like entitled d-bags with no respect or concern for other moviegoers who paid a moderate sum to watch a movie in a environment conducive to such. Which leads to the staff doing absolutely nothing to create that environment. Theres people loudly having conversations about everything but the film, some making phone calls or checking their social media accounts, crying babies in R rated films, and etc. It shouldnt be on me, the paying filmgoer, to handle these situations. If you cant find people to do the job wholly and completely, then that reflects poorly on management, and the lack thereof. Lame.

Friendliest theater staff I have met. I booked 2 movies back to back. The staff member was insightful enough to let me know that I will miss the post credits scene on my first movie if I have to make it to the second movie on time. The seats are comfortable and the halls smell fresh. My second favorite movie theatre after Ridgeway Cinema Grill.

At one time in Memphis you were very limited on what movies you could see in IMAX. With the new addition of IMAX at the Paradiso you will never miss the hottest new movie with some of the best Audio Visual stimulus available on the market. The staff are always friendly and helpful. They serve alcohol and food if you are feeling up for it. My only complaint is that the new IMAX theater has very little room for you to walk to get to your seat. The seats however are incredibly comfortable
