Peaceful site and nice monument to the Battle of Fallen Timbers. Unfortunate that it was mistaken to be the actual battle site for so long.

Went to check out this historical monument and went to the visitors center thinking that there would be somebody there to give information or answer questions but it was an empty building so we were a little disappointed. But we did learn some interesting things about the history thanks to the posted signs.

Whats to see? It was a pivotal battle ending the North West Indian War supported by the British in 1794. This was part of what led to the War of 1812. The monument sits on the wrong site. The National Park Service has a building there at the correct site. It has no displays or staff. The building is rented out for parties, etc. There is a walking trail. The passport stamp was at a outside bulletin board and had been stolen.

Beautiful trail, and lots of history! I do wish there was more shade though. I walked the trail this afternoon around 4:30 and roughly 2/3 of it was in full sun with no shade at all. (This is for the Battle of Fallen Timbers Northwest Trail.)

I love it there. The trees are beautiful, and to know the history behind the monument is really cool seeing the literal hills and imagining the battles that Mad Anthony Wayne led his soldiers victoriously to claim this corner of Ohio for good as American territory.

This Monument is really nice. An important bit of history, I liked that the monument addresses the losses on the side of the settlers and on the side of the Native Americans. Turkeyfoot rock is really cool, with a carved representation of a turkey foot in the rock. Theres a lovely walking trail that starts alongside the monument and goes down hill and toward the Maumee River.

More people need to stop here and read about the history of this part of the country. Monuments on the small piece of land were very well designed and very well explained.

Pretty cool that people have made remeberance for those who fought here so many years ago, both Native peoples and Early Americans. Super important chain of events revolve around this battle and the resulting treaty; all of which began to shape the Midwest as we know it today. The site additionally pays respect to the Natives who fought for and lost their land. Must read up on this before and after visiting. Must see for any American History enthusiast!

This is an excellent place to go and commute with nature. And the monuments there will tell you about the wars between early European settlers, the British and the native Americans. Many people died here.

There is not much to say, there is a statue of key people involved, a pleasant view overlooking the lowlands to the Maumee River. You can also walk a paved path down to and through the lowlands. Parking is free as is the visit.
