Decent playground equipment and clean bathroom. There are lots of spots to sit or bbq and trails that are pretty smooth but not all are paved. There are trails that cut through so you can decide how far you want to go, and it forms a big circle pretty much. Right along the river or through the wooded area, you can go the long way around or cut through for a shorter route. Right by the river!

I must say this is probably my favorite Metro Park Ive ever been to. Its amazing how beautiful it is and how layered the land is. Several tiny waterfalls and there are beautiful bridges. Its got a lot of hills and stuff. Its not flat landed so its always interesting. And then if you explore, theres so many side trails along that Park especially at the river area with the playground. Also, if you keep driving down the River Road theres a bunch of amazing fishing spots and trails to explore. I must say Ive lived in Toledo my whole life but this is new to me so Im shocked.

This is a very nice park with trails along the Maumee River. Excellent backdrops for pictures. Walk along remnants of the tow path, canal, and locks that remain from the Miami-Erie Canal that ran from Cincinnati to Toledo (completed in1845). Great place for autumn sunset pictures along the river.

Always love going to sidecut. Its my favorite place to take my dog for a walk, and its her favorite place too! Its always clean and everyone is friendly. My recent trip everyone was respectfully social distancing and while fishing we caught some bluegill and catfish. I even took my wedding photos there because the scenery is gorgeous! Love love love this park!

I enjoy the visit here solo to let stress melt off and take in the scenery. The only part I dont care for is the noise from the expressway. The times of season and day affect how busy the park is. I enjoy going when its less busy.

I liked it, but there were some issues. Its a pretty nice park, but the amount of goose droppings and feathers is unreal. The canal locks were definitely an interesting site, theyre pretty well preserved if you like to see history right in front of you. Brought our dog, he went into the silver lake for a few moments and came out smelling like he was the physical manifestation of goose poop, not a great car ride home. Theres many little old stone fireplaces and bridges that are cool to look at, being a history buff. Id suggest a visit, but bring bug spray because the forests are thick with them, trails arent super well kept, they could use some trimming. We did get to see a doe and fawn though, that was a treat.

The Metroparks are by far one of the best things the Toledo Metro has to offer. The grounds and facilities are always meticulously maintained. There are usually volunteers around if you ever have questions. This particular park has an awesome playground, pond, and wildlife observatory. The pond even has a canoe launch. In the winter there are always families sledding down the sled hill or snowshoeing around the park. Also, there are great trails for running, and of course the fishing in the Maumee River is some of the best in the country.

Beautiful and well maintained park.My family and I have been going here for years to enjoy leisure walks, take photography, and attend their park events. Weve attended a 5K k-9 walk here a couple years ago that was more than fun and scenic! It is a popular metropark for photography for a magnitude of reasons such as: the beautiful trails with thick woods, tall grass, open fields, willow trees, and water! Perfect for senior, engagement, wedding, newborn, and family photos. There is two sides to this metropark so take the kids, take the dog, or take some water and enjoy a walk with your significant other or yourself and walk both sides.Weve attended during this COVID-19 time and the park is still maintained and has signs everywhere from the trails, water, to the playground so you are constantly reminded to social distance and kindly reminded there is still a prevailing virus.

This gorgeous riverside park features many lovely well-maintained trails. The trail along the river in particular is an excellent place to get photos of the Maumee river.Just on the opposing side of River Rd. Side Cut features several preserved canal locks preserved from a sidecut off the Miami & Erie Canal, which is the origin of the parks name. There is also playgrounds, picnic areas, and even a sledding hill for the winter months.

Very delightful place. Lot of cute little trails to take. Lovely views to see. The facilities and grounds are very well taken care of. They had nice little falls to see. The river was nice. They had cool stone huts with fireplaces for you to relax at. Saw some wildlife. I love that it is all close to a metropolitan area, too. There is decent parking and a public restroom.
