Diamondback

I have not ridden Diamondback this year because the line has always been so long, despite the newer caster, Orion, opening this year... which is also a great coaster. But judging from past experiences, the closer to the front of the train the smoother Diamondback is. The last seat is like riding a jack hammer. Over all it is a great coaster though.

I have one complaint in that its probably my least favorite B&M hyper, but even then there is not one thing wrong with this ride. Smooth, scenic, and floaty ride with pleasant floater airtime. Guarantee youll enjoy it.

At 80mph and 215 foot drop this is the fastest and highest Roller Coaster at Kings Island and in my mind is clearly the best attraction by a long shot...Rather it be the speed, the drop, or skidding across the water towards the end this is an incredible fast and smooth coaster that will excite any true thrill seeker.This is a MUST ride if youre visiting Kings Island!

Still one of the best in the park. Orion is great but its no Diamondback

Super smooth and fun. The restraint system is very comfy and make it feel like youre basically flying, which is really neat.

In my opinion the best ride in the parking, the airtime in the back rows cant be beat at the park.

Awesome coaster. SICK AIRTIME. Had a blast at Kings Island and was so stoked that there were barely any lines. Great park with some great rides. A must for coaster enthusiasts and families alike.

Easily the best coaster in the park. Great B&M Hyper. Long, smooth, intense and Airtime-filled. The second big airtime hill makes you flying without gravity for about 5 seconds.

Kings Island is my favorite amusement park. Diamond back is my second favorite coaster in the park (The Beast ftw). Its an airtime machine, and smooth as glass. Easily my current favorite hypercoaster.

In an amusement park with so many fantastic rides, this one might be the most popular one here. Its tall and long and smooth and fun. Plus there is a spectacular splash landing final placed right in the middle of the park.

Smooth sailing. Probably the smoothest coaster here. Keep your hands up at all times and youll feel like a flying free spirit.. So relaxing!

I rode Diamondback yesterday at night & the ride was INSANE in the dark!! I LOVE THIS RIDE!!

I love it it’s so awesome it was my first time at kings island when I was 19 years old I never have rode any roller coasters and I rode this one and I loved it I was very impressed with this roller coaster

Best ride in the park!!! Ride up a steep incline to a drop of 289feet then soar at over 80 mph. It is the tallest and fastest ride at the park. Smooth as silk and a great ride. :) 10/10

Smooth floaty B&M airtime. Great coaster with great pacing. It has more variety than your usual B&M hyper. The water splashdown is a nice touch and you get a little wet on the back seat.

Amazing coaster, absolutely loved it. First ride was in the back and got pretty wet during the splash down because I stuck my hand out. Nice air time in the front to mid rows, back has pretty good whip.

Great B&M Hyper. Lots of airtime and is smooth as butter in all rows. Definitely recommend the front two rows because you get pushed over those airtime hills resulting in amazing and sustained floater air.

Great service, lots of washing the hand rails, fast moving line, spacing on ride, and of course a great thrill! The first hill is a doozy and the rest feels like youre just gliding through space!

Totally awesome!!! When I went on it, the view was absolutely amazing!!! When you go down that first hill it feels so fast and cool. Lots of air time (lol the air time scared my mom) and i love the paint job

Diamondback is an awesome coaster! Theres a lot of nice zero g hills and its placement in the park well done. Front and back seats are both good on this coaster but beware that if youre in the very back you may get a little spray from the little water jets on the way back into the station.

There is a lot of air time hikks on this ride.

Best ride in the park!! We rode it 7 times. Make sure you get fast pass plus, well worth the extra money.

Busy ride, but if you have a pass with ERT you can get a ride or two in before the line is too long, and its a great ride. The lift hill is pretty photogenic later on in the day during summer, not as much as vortex is, but it looks nice. One of my favorites in the park behind vortex and beast.

This is one of, if not the best ride at Kings Island. The wait is well shaded and the staff is actively working to quicken load and unload times so the line is always moving. The ride is very smooth and satisfyingly thrilling and very exciting. Never nauseating and always worth the wait.

This is a fun, very floaty coaster. A little on the gentle side but consistently fun. Its getting a little bit of a rattle over the years but nothing too terrible. This is a ride that you could marathon all day.

This ride is my Uncles FAVORITE ride. Today would be his 674 time riding it!The seats is what make the ride so much better. It make you feel like you are flying when going down the hills. Smooth, thrilling, no tight seat straps, and awesome staff.I highly recommend riding this multiple time on your trip to Kings Island!

One of my favorite coasters of all time. I enjoy the amazing airtimes and the restraint style that lets you float while also being secure. Well worth any wait.P.S. - check out the collection of hairbands and bracelets on the roof at the end of the ride.

What an amazing hyper, although the smoothness of the ride fits in with the theme of rattle snakes, the splashdown takes the ride from 6-10. The back row is the only way to go and when you lean towards the scoops, you get drenched in water. Such a fun ride

Diamondback at Kings Island is my favorite ride at the park with Mystic Timbers as a close second. I do recommend getting fast lanes because the lines get quite long on busy days. The ride was manufactured by Bolliger & Mabillard and is a steel hyper coaster. I love this ride so much and I think it deserves more credit.

I thought it was amazing! That first vertical drop..can you say awesome!! I always ride front but I have to say the second seat was just as good..maybe even better..sure is a close call but that second seat sits you out farther giving you more of a view..also both seats will definitely give you some air time of your own..Kudos to you Kings Island ..Looking forward to riding this rollercoaster (Diamondback) again.

Scariest rollercoaster we road that day.

Very fun. It is intimidating before you get on because of the speed and height from afar, but once you do get on, you realize its not bad at all. The water splash at the end felt good on a hot day.

This is the best roller coaster at Kings Island. It is very smooth and goes fast - top speed is about 80. It doesnt go upside down. Its fun!

Diamondback is currently the tallest coaster at Kings Island traveling at speeds in excess of 80 MPH! There are no inverted sections or loops of any sort, but it has plenty of hills and declines filled with excitement and thrills. One essentially rides the snake to the lake on this one! Its a top 5 ride for me.

I loved it! While I am afraid of heights, and the hill is VERY high, just close your eyes and its so much fun! Super smooth, and not jerky at all. Keep your hands up too.

The line was incredibly long. 1.5 hours .. but Im so glad I waited. Super fun ride.

This is the highest roller coaster I have been on and did not disappoint despite the fact that I am afraid of heights. The ride really gives a lot of air time! It is definitely a top 3 coaster at Kings Island!

Lots of hills set at such an angle that youre floating out of your seat constantly. Its a lot of fun to get that little bit of airtime. Great ride.

The thing i had with it is when u go down hill the only thing really KEEPING u in is a little bar in front of u. but when ur going down ur not SITTING ON THE SEAT. i would say it is very fun..

This is one of my favorite roller coasters ever. The ride is super smooth and its also a longer coaster. So even though you are FLYING, its worth the sometimes longer wait!

Best rollercoaster in Kings Island. The front is awesome with the view, but the back is the place to be! You get whipped across all of the hills. This rollercoaster is so smooth and has my favorite kind of restraint: waist only. Pro tip: you will lose things from your pocket on this roller coaster with all of the negative gs. I lost my wallet

The back is kinda rough but so fast! You can feel the train pulling it! Definitely my favorite spot on train

Honestly I was terrified to go on this but it was the best roller coaster I’ve ever been on. I used the reviews to convince me it would be fine and thank god I didn’t sit out on riding this coaster because the drop is massive and the fear is worth it.

Best ride in the whole park! Super smooth and not jerky at all. A lot of rides make me light headed or leave me feeling thrown around. This ride doesnt do any of that its fast and makes you feel ike your floating when it drops!

This steel hyper coaster can still hold its own even at 10 years old! That first 230 drop still takes my breath even after 250+ trips along its rails. Smooth smooth smooth!
