There is so much I can say about this place. Its the place I would go on walks with my wife before we got married. In the later days of the month of March there is a tree near the bridge that blooms with the most wonderful color purple and every year my wife and I take a picture in front of this tree. Its a very clean and quiet place to come to hangout, fish, workout, and take in the best part of Maryville. If you get a chance you should swing by and check out the historical monument they have at the park as well.
My favorite place to go for a walk, well lit plenty of wildlife to adore. Also the library is a phenomenal resource.
Beautiful and peaceful with a wonderful walking/biking trail and dog friendly! If you like to take photos, bring your camera.
Ive had so many great memories. Lots to do and see. Arguably the prettiest part of Maryville.
Wonderful outdoor area to walk or cycle. Great place to decompress from the 2020 year from hell.
Rode the greenway for a 10 mile ride. Was peaceful and pleasant.Great to walk or bicker +run
Love this. Ducks everywhere. Me coming from Louisiana, I was surprised to see a nutria rat there. Enjoyed the Evening with my family.
I love to go walk my dog here. Plenty of trails, nicely maintained. Always get a good workout.
Wow, what a beautiful park perfect for walking, running and just enjoying the view. Lots of ducks, a great display of history and more!
Enjoyed walking my dog after going to Farmers Mkt & craft area at the Blount County Library
This is an amazing park, right in the heart of downtown Maryville. I happened to to go on a Saturday scouting for photography locations and absolutely fell in love with it. Maryville has done a fantastic job with the Bicentennial Park as well as the Greenway these joins it. Up the road from the entrance across from the public library, there was a Farmers market with live music. I wish more downtown areas would follow this lead.
Very nice!!! Nice for walking, photography (thats why I was there) very clean and quiet!
Sad to see a bit of wear or vandalism, a very nice history lesson, well done. The greenbelt trail, fountain, gazebos, and bridge to the library are a wonderful asset to our community. Invitingly running, biking, strolling. Ect
This is a Beautiful park located on city. There was ducks everywhere and a pond with fish and turtles. The park is kept up nicely.
The Maryville/ Alcoa area Greenway and parks are terrific. They are beautiful and well maintained.
Great place to walk or run. There is an interesting fountain as you walk around under the bridge.
Nice park with walking trail and a pond with cute turtles.
Very tranquil, great place for a nice serotonin boost.
Bicentennial Park is a very nice park. It is nice that TWRA stocked rainbow trout in the lake for winter trout fishing. Some fishing tips for this park: 1) go on the weekdays if possible. It can get crowded with people trying to catch the trout. 2) Pistol Creek was stocked as well. 3) Dont forget a trout license is required in addition to a regular fishing license.
I found a new picnic table with waterfall view!
It Was Beautiful, Got To See The Ducks & Geese & The Waterfall & The Fountain...
Very beautiful downtown
Awesome place to walk and get outdoors.
Very nice place to walk
Great Place to walk
Really beautiful lots of trails
Great outdoor park with lots of space for setting up picnics or activities! There is a wheelchair accessible entrance on the far side of the park and I frequently go here in my chair. Be warned that some hills on the walking paths are too steep to safely navigate in a wheelchair without help, but that is just the lay of the land and not the parks fault! I enjoy myself every time Im here and almost always end up going to the library just right nearby (its connected to the park)!
Very pretty area
Best greenway in East Tennessee!
Nice Greenway. Enjoyed the walk path, but watch for bicyclists who also use the walk path. The little dam / waterfall was relaxing to listen to. Nice shade trees that could use more benches for people to sit and watch the ducks, birds, and other people walking or bicycling.
A great place for walking, both people and dogs, as it has a small and large dog walking park! Walking is pleasant, shady and lighted at night. Also the creek flows in the park, over a dam and was filled with Mallard ducks.
Nice for walking, running, and biking. Nice view.
I need someone to come out and weed cuz they need a lot of help yet
Its very relaxing, the trails are paved and well worth a look. The scenic stands and gazebos are beautiful and its connected to the library
Great place for dogs and people! We are so fortunate to have such a lovely park in our town. Thanks Parks and Recreation and all who work so hard to make it such a special place for all to share
Loved feeding the ducks and walking around the different trails. Saw fish, turtles and beavers too! Peaceful area to quiet the mind.
I love walking around this park with my family.
Just off the main downtown Maryville drag, this park is great to walk, jog, or just hang out and picnic. Theres several places to visit walking, like the library, Mexican food, and, of course, downtown. If you play Pokémon Go, theres a bunch of stops and gyms you can visit. Dog owners have two BIG fenced in parks - one for big dogs and one for the minis!
This park is beautiful I just got a waterfall is a big stream that runs down beside of it so you got Shades its just a beautiful place to walk and we we have a beautiful walkways here you can go from here to halfway to Knoxville owner to owner Trail and you would enjoy it thanks
Beautiful park!!
This is a beautiful park i would consider myself lucky to live near.
Nice place to walk, places to fish, benches but just didnt see a restroom.
Love this place! Its beautiful! Great for runners, families and photographers!
Beautiful place to take pictures
Great place to go walking, lovely views
A great place!
Pretty park. I usually come here at lunch to watch the ducks, egrets, cranes, etc. Its accessable from the library and about 4 other parking lots. There are a couple of pretty walking bridges that go over the pond area, a water fountain and a small dam. Further down there is a dog park with 2 areas, one for big dogs and one for small dogs. Its all connected to the Maryville/Alcoa Greenway.
Needs updating. More senior friendly more restrooms. It is beAutiful place . police need patrol it more.
Nice place to walk or just sit. Not add write as I like but still relaxing.
Favorite place to walk.
Walked around the pond
All around just Bueatful! My doggo loves the walk here
Love this park.lots of walk ways. Nice creek you can fish in. Dog friendly as well.
Great walking, great place to play Pokemon Go too.
I always like going here
Beautiful homage to Tennessee. I wish they would put ID signs by the trees and plants in the arboretum.
Small nice park downtown Maryville, so close and quite, good place for running, biking, relax and walk your dog, grandma can take grand kids to feed the ducks
My favorite park. Great for walking with some ups and downs. Look for the beavers in the water!
Beautiful place since the clean up
Lots of room for people to run, play, pic ic, ride bikes, walk dogs, photo shoot, pokemon go etc. Theres an area specifically for dogs but dogs can go anywhere in the park. Was surprised it’s not covered in poo, but literally none. Lots of rest spots and pic taking spots to. We drive 25 minutes to go here.
Beautiful place too walk and meet new people havent been healthy enough to go since 06 because of heart issues
What a lovely place. Tons to do.
There was a guy who set a hammock under the bridge over the water playing a guitar! 5 outta 5!Parks okay I guess
Its a great place to walk and relax
Love this place ️
Love walking through this park and letting my doggo go for a quick dip in the river. Only down side are the ducks that he will chase relentlessly, but thats my problem. The park is always spot less and well takencare of by Parks and Reck, so a big thank you to those hard working folks. No matter the time of year it is always a pleasure walking through this part of the Maryville Greenway.
Great park, includes walking paths, ponds, ducks, waterfalls, good parks and much more
Needs care but I always liked bringing my kids here.
Love walking around the park!! Its so well taken care of!!
Centrally located, excellent Farmers market there on Saturday.
The weather was cool, but nice. There are 2 fenced in areas that dogs can run and play.A large area And a smaller area for smaller dogs.
So many fond memories here, Ill always return. I love it.
Great place. Two areas for the dogs to play with one another. One for big the other for small size dogs. Tons of room with running water to quench the thirst.Pagoda for the folks to chat or just be. Several benches off in the play area as well. Take a book and relax while the dogs play.
Evening stroll, havent been at this park in a few years. It seems a little run down.
I love going to the dog park with my little tyson! I love how they have a part for little dogs and a part for big dogs. Its always a blast!
Great place to walk and enjoy the wildlife
Love my local parks. My favorite is Springbrook in Alcoa
The exercise structures are worn out and broken. Its usefulness and beauty are gone.
Very nice overall park, but it can get pretty crowded at times.
Greenway is an awesome place to walk, run, or bike.
This place is super cool. They have a big thing with 200 years of history on it and the park is so pretty. I only wish it was better maintained.
Beautiful greenway. Loads of Poke stops.
Love the Greenway
A quiet little town
Nice area for a stroll..beware of the Pokemon Go players! Hope you arent near a rare one.. Better hide because everyone comes a running!
Nice park. Great place to get a walk in, as well as a fantastic dog park.Theres also a section of three pokestops next to each other in a triangular. Can sit in center and reach all three of them. Usually a decent crowd there with lures set.
Fun place to walk around, surprisingly better on summer nights as wildlife is out and about.
