Martinez Marina has become my surrogate waterfront park. Raised in SF, lived in Sausalito for 10 years. This humble little Marina has it all.
An excellent way to spend an afternoon; hiking, biking, and learning about historical sites in your own backyard.
Such a nice little gem of Vallejo. Park your car take a walk and enjoy. Vallejo City needs to hire or actually buy a industrial pressure washer and pressure wash the benches and walk way. The gem of a waterfront is getting filthy. I wonder if any Vallejo City Council Members ever walk the waterfront? If GVRD is responsible shame on them.
Nice arrangement of amenities, dog park, playground, baseball field, soccer field, bocce ball, horseback riding, and many other things to do.
This park is so clean and nice love this park and my kids too
Quiet and not crowded. Plenty of space to walk the dog.
This park features a fantastic bocce pavilion, with many courts (next time Ill count), an amphitheater, marina and fishing pier, as well as miles of hiking along the shoreline. Playgrounds, ball fields, and a welcoming atmosphere just across the tracks from historic Martinez - home of joltin Joe and a station on the Pony Express. What more could you wish for? Great coastal breezes and wide open spaces!
Great place to have a barbecue, take a date or have fun with the kids. Lots of room to run around ride your bicycle or just take in the fresh air
Its nice to walk around the Park in the morning, not crowded. Love looking out at the water & watching the big container ships manuvering in the water.
Beautiful setting, great facility .. good place for a picnic or hangout, or to launch your water craft from.
Nice and spacious! Great bay views. Nice trails.
Love, love, love. Shoreline and train station. Kids love the area!
Martinez Regional Shoreline Waterfront Park is a relaxing place to walk. It has a good trail system with diverse wildlife and ecosystem. There are signs that detail the areas wildlife, history and paths. The smells of the brackish salt water at low tide, the rustling of marsh grasses and cool breezes blowing off the the carquinez strait/Suisun Point Channel are mesmerizing. Dogs arent allowed in a good portion of the park, only in one small designated area and on paved paths only. Not on the gravel ones. The trains are very active as are the big oil tankers delivering to Shell. You can easily walk out on to the wharf. The views are wonderful, we like to go early in the morning before anything is crowded, it is still cool and crisp. Wear sturdy shoes and enjoy.
The fresh air, open space, view of the Carquinez Straight, and a great change from being cooped up during the difficult times.
I grew up here. Its home. I just wish there was more shade
Really awesome place, not much shade though
I didnt like the crowd. But its a nice day out and I understand I am not the only one wanting to try my luck.
Its not really a park, more like a large open space with a concert hole they call a skate park and a play ground from the 80s in desperate need of a redesign.
Softball fields are better now after they were redone but still creepy walking around the area alone with all the homeless people. Bring a friend and youll be fine!
Recently renovated. Very nice playground. Good field. Kids love it. Good parking.
A nice day out for a walk. We had a good walk and visit there.
Great park with lots of different things to see. Boats, trains, ducks and geese. Flush toilets, water fountains, and lots of water to look at. The ground is generally littered with cigarette butts and other stuff, so definitely not the cleanest park around. But the sea breeze keeps it cool on the hot summer days.
This place has everything. There are tons of wide open grass fields, several different play structure areas, lots of nice walking trails, the marina close by with a lagoon that can be a nice spot for bird-watching, and I think the largest set of bocce ball courts in the world! The nearby train tracks and old steam locomotive on display are also big hits for little kids and rail-fans. Theres something for everyone.
I have a 2 year old. A bit difficult for him to navigate, facility is kind of small and much bigger kids would over run him. We stayed for only 15 mins. Its ok. Certainly the entire park is right there so lots of wonderful space and of course TRAINS!...LOL
Lots of hiking and biking trails and good place for kids to play...home of the Martinez Bocce Federation the biggest league in the USA.
Fields remodeled early 2019. Great looking park. Nice view of the bridge and water.Bring shade. Canopy or umbrellas. Dont forget the tie downs, it can get a bit windy.
The new playground there is great, but the parking lot needs better work.
Beautiful park, they have bocce ball courts, baseball diamonds, a kids playground and clean restrooms. Very nice little park. We did the Bike the Bridges special Olympic bike ride this year and they had it set up amazingly!
Cool skatepark
Though its a fun park near the farmers market I thought hey would give it a facelift during the recent reconstruction down at the waterfront. Also have had some weird run ins with shady characters hanging around
Huge park.... The Marina is what its known as. I have been going to Marina my whole life. 4th of Julys are the biggest best events in the county.
Spacious, free parking, within walking distance from a few bars, restaurants, antique shops, tackle & bait/mini marts.More festivals are being located here which is awesome for the community & local folks.
Kids play area, BBQ, hiking trail. And not to mention Ducks, and all kinds of birds to feed. Kids had lots of fun there!
All about the breeze and the view..and just forget about everything else for a while..
Its great for kids adults theres picnic area water front lots of places for kids to play you can hike go on bike rides
Wish I felt safer parking my car here but overall not bad. Watch for the paths where dogs are not allowed
Easy access, well maintained.
Pertty
Quiet and peaceful.
To many Kates
Great ocean trail walk with Art pieces to enjoy and a log seesaw to ride on witj a friend or friends. Its also dog friendly
The park/play ground area were just renovated recently. New restrooms closer to the play ground. Its clean, and the children have a blast.
Waterfront park is a disversefied area with large spacious areas. Its boardered by bay area reginal parks. The park was just remodeled so it is basically a new park. Its all good to go and be enjoyed by all. There has been ALOT of tree problems; branches of all sizes have fallen recently with many trees that just fell over. A word to the wise, do not park under any trees.
This park is nice. Its got toys for the little kids separate from the big kids with a tactile sandbox. The only issue is the stanback used to cover the group can be really painful for the kids when they fall or get it stuck in their shoes.
Beautiful park!
Nice softball facilities, ample parking and many other outdoor activities
It is a nice place for watching kids
Nice place to visit needs more trees after cutting down mature growth.
Great place to go play with your dog
Nice park but i dont like the rest rooms. no dogs by the geese! pick up your garbage!
Nice park
Want to go one day looks so fun
Nice area but lots of homeless staring at you
Great park very clean
Great views, after bond measure facelift makes park more attractiveStill need a plan for the marina property shows good amount of neglect..
Its a great place to walk.
Very nice fields and snack shack open when games are going on!! Recommend going!!
There were quite a few people in different vehicles;more big and loud pick up trucks, doing donuts in the back lot several times on different days and weather conditions. Many times before the rains,so that huge amounts of dirt fog would occur. Or a little farther back, spin out in the graveL area. Yesterday was too much to watch as these idiots were going very fast in the pouring ran which caused near misses with other vehicles as well as with the cement mounted lite posts. Oddly,no law enforcement.probably busy harassing homeless people, when they could be as well cracking down on the incesent SPEEDING occuring from the tracks,ESPECIALLY AT THE CURVE!!,to the waterfront DAILY!!! IT doesnt feel safe at times to attempt the two crosswalks at the curve and in past the bocce courts near playground. So i feel dreadful that recklessness is neither a safety concern as well as the bad behavior is allowed in the first place. I made my friend drive us out of that area regardless since it was too nerve racking to just ignore. I only give 1star to these incidents, not the park or waterfront overall. JUST SAYING WHAT IVE OBSERVED AS WELL AS EXPERIENCED TO BRING AWARENESS TO THESE ISSUES OF SAFETY.
Bathrooms. Where to go? Not the nasty porta potty. Well just find a private area and take a leak, great idea closing the bathrooms. Wth
Nice park and great place to walk.
Very nice venue; skate park, dog park, connected to Martinez Marina and walking distance to Amtrak and downtown Martinez.
SWAN Day was teally nice. Great musical acts.
This place is great. Funny location and right next to a quaint down town
Great place for family! BBQ, beer, and great bands!
City of Martinez has a nice dog park behind the Martinez Yacht Club.
BATHROOMS! The bocce court bathrooms were closed, leaving a porta potty that wasnt clean. The bathrooms on the regional side with the little playground was closed. Leaving only one. Right next to playground yes, but it looked as if it hadnt been cleaned in a week. And wheres the garbage cans? Perhaps having a few extra of those around or in obviously spots, there would be less litter. The bathroom issue is why Im giving 1 star to the Martinez marina.
GREAT PLACE FOR KIDS
Nice event! Good food and music!
Good place to walk
Cool trains, and hella tight play area
The make over is fabulous
Had a great day at the Bocce courts at a fund raiser for Moodeheart. Good facilities, clean restrooms. Thank you the city of Martinez and the organizers from Concord Moose Lodge.
Nice place for kids
Nice fresh wind and views
Clean and everything is in good condition
Fun night of baseball and friends. Small town minor league baseball is the best!
Bathrooms were locked and porta pettys were overflowing.
Garbage beam were full
Love going for walks by the water.
Baseball fields bathroom awful
Great clean park
Great place for the family, and kids.
I have a huge complaint with this park because i live very close by. I love to go there. Its not the park itself but Calfire and the East Bay Regional Parks District that i have a big problem with. It was a beatuiful day, 70 degrees and somewhat windy on 9/23/18. I had plans to have a BBQ with my family and some friends doing the most innocent of things like cooking food and sharing good times. Many other seperate groups were planning the same thing. Then everyone got kicked out because we were not allowed to BBQ with coals, gas grills only. This happened right when the coals were ready. Everyone had to pack up and leave.I was pissed i was livid. No signs were posted and who the hell checks some website to see if it okay the BBQ at park that has grills located by picnic tables. Everyones day was ruined all because of some some ludacris fear of fire.Apparently no has been able to have a charcoal BBQ for a month because of some level 2 fire warning. This applies to all parks in the district?? And i was told by the ranger this would last to October?? When is a good time to BBQ? Only in the winter when its cold and rainy!? What is the point of having these facilities if they can never be used.So in conclusion if you want to legally BBQ (I cant believe legally BBQ has to be said) stear clear of Martinez.PS; all BBQ grills were surrounded by short green grass and near water fountains. They have gone too far!!
Had a great afternoon riding bikes with my son all over the Marina.
Did alot work on look nice famly com with there kids
Best bocce ball
Best place in the world
They have a great view
Great park
