Nice kid-friendly park. Playground is closed due to Covid-19, but there are still plenty of benches, trees and shades as well as a grassy play area.
Great place! Its typically not too crowded. My kid really likes the lake!
Love this park... But they need to shade the kids playground. Sooo hot in the summer. Not fun at all
Just took a quick look, but place looks like a nice place for a couples picnic.
This little park is clean. There are trails around the lake. Some smaller trails take you up to a peak to view 360 of Pacheco and Martinez. Also Mt. Diablo and the delta can be seen from that peak. The little lake has a fountain and a trail wrapping around it. The school nearby has a vegetable and fruit garden. There are birds and some oak and eucalyptus trees. Some fish here.
Picnic, playgrounds, tons of trails and a lake. If you like the nature this is your spot
Nice refurbished park right in my backyard. Good place to take the kids in the dog for a little walk through the nature areas. Good fishing if you can beat the 20 twenty-somethings to the fish when they stick the lake!
Good trails, a bit of hill for the extra exercise, and a very nice soccer field.
Nice clean park lots of grass good trails .
Beautiful park, well maintained and ideal for walking, biking riding and more
Big park. Lots to do here
Gorgeous Day today at Hidden Lake Park
Such a cute park tons of parking and bathrooms are clean.
It had beautiful scenery and was very enjoyable
So close to Lafayette and they even have parking. After your hike you can check out downtown Martinez for their great coffee shops
The park is well maintained and relatively clean. Lots of seating and picnic areas. Groomed grass. Play structures. Well paved paths around the grass. Be sure to take an adventure down to the creek and pond
Ive come here before years ago and completely forgot how great it is!Lots of open grassy space to lay a picnic blanket and relax. Not a ton of shade but there are spots and there are plenty of covered picnic tables.Great structures for kiddos to play. Will be coming back often this spring/summer!
Majestic views.
Its a beautiful spacious Park where you can bring your dogs and your children and barbecue and have a playground nice trails and hidden lakes. The bathrooms are nice as well and trash receptacles are provided as well as ample parking.
Nice and clean. large grass area, playground, exercise things and hiking access
This park is perfect for a kid learning to ride a bike or scooter. Took a 4 year old on a mile-ish loop on paved and dirt paths between this and neighboring hidden lakes park. Something for all riding levels. Picnic area has one of the best bbq/serving setups Ive seen at a public park.
I go to this Park constantly its a nice place to walk. The park is dog friendly with a nice huge patch of grass. The park has multiple places to sit and places to barbecue for parties and picnics. The play structure is a good place to bring children to get some fresh air. For an added bonus if you go to the very top of the trails hills you can get fantastic pictures.
Awesome gender reveal
Great place for a run or shorter hikes. It has smaller hills for the area turf field and 4 baseball diamonds. Playgrounds and rest rooms also available.
This is a great place if your looking to walk around with a dog. It is also astounding for running.
Plenty places to social distance
We love this park! The Hidden Lakes are so cool. They stock with fish and is great place to take your kids for a day of fishing.
The city fully renovated this park about 3 years ago, or so. They did a great with it. Exercise stations all around the trails. They also installed BBQ pits and a jungle gym. Adjacent, there are 2 small ponds they stock with Rainbows and Bluegill. Great for kids. Its great to see so many people using it now.
Nice park. Public restrooms, bbqs and picnic tables.
Great park. Walking paths, dog friendly, picnic tables, etc. The playground is great except for the 3 giant concrete steps (pictured) that terrify me. My toddler runs full speed and Im afraid he will run from the play structure to the steps, fall over them a, and tumble. Hasnt happened, but why the steps?
Very nice walking, running, bike park with a few playgrounds.
Participate in Amtgard! A fun Live Action Role Play (LARP) where we swing foam bats and have a great time! Every Sunday at noon!
The park is really nice just it. It, nice and small. The bbq area just perfect. There a children playground, shade available, bbq just right there and a view of Mount diablo!! The parking lot is kinda tight there were since people that has to park out in the street. The only down side is that there a view of the telephone wire. Look annoying.
Love this natural park in the middle of suburbia. My kids love climbing the oaks and I like the challenge of adding hills to my walks. 3 lakes with a creek that goes underground at the end of a maybe 12 foot drop. There is also a nice 1/4 mile track if you want to focus on your workout.
If i get my pee pee wet i prefer to do it in the 925
Nice playground for kids, a lot of table/benches with shade, great landscaping, and a ton of really wonderful walking paths. Bathrooms could seriously use soap or hand sanitizer and some updating, maybe also lights, but otherwise - Great park in Martinez!
Good: Beautiful park and nice relaxing trails. Bad: Needs soap and at least, a dryer that works in womens bathroom. And one of the exercise apparatus does not allow you to increase the amount of pressure to get an sufficient workout. Also my husband and I thought that more water fountains around the park would be great for people to stay hydrated
Went there for Sundays sunrise service with my church Calvary Chapel Concord. You could not ask for more beautiful morning. The view of the valley below and Mount Diablo in the distance for spectacular at sunrise.
Clean park with beautiful lawns, a unique play structure and great picnic areas for hosting parties. Some covered areas and stamped concrete in the eating areas. Parking is nice but not super big. There are bathrooms but theyre typical park bathrooms.
Good place to walk in the morning and evening. Peaceful and with nature.
Beautiful park we had a kids party there and all the kods happy at the playground
Hidden gem. Very nice.
Ran at the End Sias track meet and had a great time! Course was tough
Dope. Miss the concrete slides though
Well kept up place with lots of room to run and stuff to play on.
Ive been going to this park for a very, very long time. Its a great family park to have a party/bbq at. Im sure there might be rif raf at times but there are nothing like gangs or anything like that just maybe an occasional homeless person. They have a work out area to challenge yourself too. Worth a good time there.
Nice clean park. Very beautiful and well kept.
This is a great park to hang out with the family and enjoy the sun, located a few blocks off a busy road so minimal road noises and hazards makes it easy to hang out with the family. Additionally the lack of trees makes it a fun park to soak up sun without the trees blocking out this sweet sweet rays of light. Wouldly recommend This to anyone wanting a fun afternoon!!everyone should bring their family to this park at least once!
Soccer players are rude. Teams set their canopy on track and I cant run. Canopy almost poke my eyes out. No common sense. Ugh. Worst of all, parents dont supervise their kids and dog owners walk their dogs with no sense of their surrounding i.e. loose lanyard and leash. I had to jumped over the dogs. Irrrsponsible people.
Hard to find, its in a valley!
Good playsets for little kids. Spacious lawn areas.
Great place to train, hang out, or just enjoy nature by yourself.
This not just a neighborhood park with picnic areas and playground equipment but trails leading out through the hilly terrain and a beautiful small lake. Many of the trails are paved but there are also dirt trails as well. Parking area is small if there are several things going on at one time.
Nice park with a great place to do picnic
I wish they fixing the broken slide, before someone gets hurt...
Gorgeous small town park, my favorite of all time! Very green and lush every season except summer
Great park and place to happy hour take a walk. Good spot
Its gr8 park. You can walk ur dog off leash but sometimes people are ignorant to the fact that theres a time and place for dogs off leash. I do it my self and its gr8 just gotta watch out for dogs with attitudes
Grow with this park
Love this park for walking. Nice to get into open space and walk the trails. Nice natural beauty and great views.
A great local park. Theres a nice, well-maintained play area for kids. Theres also barbecues and plastic picnic tables to eat on. I think you can reserve the picnic area. People frequently bring their dogs here.
Looks like they are doing construction however big softball tournament this weekend and absolutely no parking or seating. They had one handycap parking sports and no street parking besides the few places people parked in the bike lanes. You would think with this many people they would have opened up the empty lot they are working on just for the weekend for parking.
Nice park in a good neighborhood. Great walking trail.
Very beautiful and clean. Im a huge fan of bbq and these are by far the best Ive seen from any park Ive been to. The space was great and gave great privacy from the next park neighbor.
Just passed by looked nice but cant say for sure
Great little park, clean with nice playground, great for getting some exercise as it has weather resistant exercise equipment
Nice community park, good play structures for kids and toddlers. Plenty of open grass space for playing sports. There is also quite a few picnic tables.
Lots of open space with trails
You will love the trail system. A beautiful park to take your family to (including dogs).
Beautiful park! Numerous sporting fields, large walking track, and shaded areas. Something for everyone!
Hidden Valley Park in Martinez and Hidden Lake. Is probably the nicest part whats in 10 mile radius. Ive been going to that Park since I was 8 years old I went to the elementary school there I go to the lake behind the school all the time was my dog its beautiful. If you like to take pictures as a great place to do that. I used to swim in the lake I think its still just fine to swim in but people dont. Theres no signs. Its very picturesque at the lake and the park. Theres two parts to the park theres the old part which is on Center Avenue and then theres the new part of the part which is on off Marello. The new part of the park is mostly of soccer field and baseball field not a lot of trees or shade in that side. On the old part is lots of shade lots of trees as a trail that leads to the lake. If you like jogging this is the place for cross-country jogging probably a good 2 Mile track maybe more up and down Hills through Giant Oaks and very beautiful and scenic. So far the park backs into a elementary school Hidden Valley Elementary School and theres a lot of Little League Baseball going on in that area. Theres some good fishing by the way in the lake. But you really need to know how to fish still takes and what rig to use and so on and so forth. Over the years theyve done some really nice improvements to this part whats the new playgrounds in the new part of the part theres a bridge that connects the two parts of the park to walk Bridge is also very pretty area the bridge goes over a little part of the lake which is actually dry its a Gorge. The old part of the park is pretty busy these days so if you want to have an event or party you probably have to make reservations. Its all very handicapped-accessible a lot of cement walkways very wide. The bathrooms are as old as the old Park is they can use some improvements. Besides the bathroom light say its perfect especially over by the lake. If you have a dog the dogs love the Lakes cuz they can go in and swim theres a giant Fountain area and thats the best area for for dogs to go swimming. The lake is fed by underground river keeps the water is fresh so the dogs dont in up stinking or anything like that. The water is actually very clean. Way back in the 70s cars used to be able to drive right up to the lake and people would picnic all around that Lake. But because of all of the drug users and people drowning in the lake and cars ending up in the lake they close that off ever since. I wish they would reopen it like that it would be great. But its also nice the way it is nice and natural. Hidden Valley Lake is probably one of Martinez is best kept secrets. Most people dont live here dont even know about it. Sogo discover Hidden Valley Lake for yourself you will not regret it.
They fixed the park up a year ago. Large open green grassy field, even in the dry summer. The view of Mt Diablo is stunning. My only complaint Im are the concrete stairs to the upper level are really hard for toddlers to climb/step down
Beatiful park and big with two play structures and a bunch of tables for partys. Nice big areas of grass and my favourite part is the pond/lake near it just wandering around in the woods and hills is fun and beautiful.
Beautiful park.
Beautiful park, great place to walk the dogs or take the kids out to play!
This park is a small gem tucked away in between Martinez and Pleasant Hill. It has just been refurbished (2016), with several picnic areas and a childrens playground on one side of the park and a new soccer field on the other, near the volleyball court and baseball field. In between is the hidden part, a series of small lakes and streams, which has hiking trails and supports a small community of fisherfolk. We saw an otter swimming by the last hike. Dont all come at once, but do stop by and visit!
Nice little place
Single dad who took my two daughters and my two nieces down to watch the fireworks. Had a wonderful time.
Not a bad park, usually very busy on the weekends, so get there early. Not a fan of the huge power lines overhead but I just wear my tinfoil hat, seems to make everything better.
Restrooms are horrible, toilets over flowing, smells bad. I understand they are public restrooms at a park however they are horrible, other parks in and around Martinez have much better facilities. !
First time i was here was for a race, beautiful trees along the trail!
Lots to do here!
Good family picnic spotRides for kids and good play area.Fun time
Beautiful place
I love this park aoo much it is Soo beautiful.
Love the play area for kids and the walking trail for adults
Great park
